Gain Stanley Goes For A Drive Illustrated By Craig Frazier Presented In Text
book had great illustrations and was really interesting, It makes you wonder how clouds are made and at the end it turns out it is from a cow who is making clouds instead of milk! It was creative and made kids think during the story.
The story itself is very simple Stanley goes for a drive in his pickup on a blistering hot day, He spies a black and white cow and gets an idea, The cow's white blotches resemble clouds, so he milks the cow and the throws the milk "clouds" into the sky, It rains and the world is green again,
Excellent illustrations! One hot day, Stanley sets out for a drive with little on his mind, The road is dusty, the pond dry, the cows hot and tireda usual summer day, . . or is it In his first book for children, renowned graphic designer Craig Frazier has combined bold, dynamic illustrations with a simple story that celebrates the imagination and the art of looking at the world in your own way.
Very imaginative. A fun story about where clouds come from and why they just might look a bit like spilled milk, What a fun book telling a story with imagination, Stanley the farmer sees white spots on one of his cows that look like clouds which may just be the thing
to help his dry farmland.
I love the simple illustrations mixing in silhouettes for more imagination, . simple, and monocolored. However the way that the illustrations are used to connect the story to the text is very unique, If you haven't looked at this book I would certainly suggest it, It is very strange, but cool, Craig Frazier is an illustrating designer who has enjoyed a distinguished career since, He opened his doors as Frazier Design inand built a practice designing corporate communication, annual reports and advertising, In, he scaled down the design side of his practice to concentrate on illustration and a few special design projects, Within two years he had developed one of the most distinct and recognized illustration styles in the country, Wit, irony, and simplicity have become the currency of the Frazier style, He is a frequent contributor to the NY Times and business publications like Time Magazine, Fortune, Bloomberg Business Week, Harvard Business , and The Wall Street Journal to name a few.
