Cute Valentine themed book! A fairly easy French book, the kittens were cute, I was not a fan, I didnt care for it, Oldfashioned, charming illustrations with a valentine poem, Mama read this to me the other night, I love Valentine's Day, and I love pretending I'm a kitty, so I loved the illustrations in this book! Following in the pawprints of the remarkable Halloween Cats, the author of the I Spy series and the illustrator of Oink! Moo! How Do You Do present Valentine Catsa lively, rhyming holiday tale filled with adorable, creative catswriter cats writing valentines, artist cats illustrating them, and postal cats delivering them.
Fullcolor. I was disappointed with this book, I love cats amp thought this book would be a great one to read during a story time, However, the story was repetitive and it really didn't have an ending, I don't think little ones will enjoy this in a group setting, however older readers might just like it,
This is my personal opinion and should not discourage you from reading this book,st read:This book was okay, I was really excited about the book because the illustrations looked really cute and I love cats, but I didn't like how the book repeated certain words, This is more of a poem made into a book I feel like, It did rhyme which was nice, but I just didn't like how some words repeated, I could do without that part, The cats were cute though, especially the kittens!

nd reread:Okay, I thought this book was just okay the first time I read it, but I did like it reading it a second time.
I gave it another go since I love cats so much and was looking

for a Valentine's Day book, I didn't mind the repeating words so much this time around and I still thought the rhyming was nice, It made the book flow nicely like a poem, This time around I also found little details in the illustrations that I missed last time I read it, The valentine letter drafts that are falling on the floor actually have really cute short messages! I love little details like that, Jean Marzollo was the award winning author of overbooks for kids, including the I SPY series, Pierre the Penguin, Help Me Learn Numbers, Soccer Sam, Happy Birthday Martin Luther King, Close Your Eyes, Mama Mama/Papa Papa, the Shanna Show books, and In, as well as books for parents and teachers.
