weird that with most of the romance books I read I never question things when the characters fall in love with each other so easily.
Yet on rare occasions, the I just dont click with the romance and bam I cant get into the story,

I had my eye on The SEALs Promise for a while, I even came close to buying it on my NOOK many times, but for some reason I held off, Im glad I did. I finally found this at my local library and grabbed it,

Chaz Roylance and Lacey Pomeroys story isnt bad, There just wasnt enough romance and chemistry to make me a believer, Its one thing if the characters are stealing kisses and wanting to fling themselves at each other all the time, That I believe, but Chaz and Lacey were so discreet I never felt they truly loved each other,

Chaz is a fairly new P, I. fresh out of the Navy SEALs, Keeping busy as a P, I. keeps his own troubles behind him and lets him solve other peoples, When he his team was order to take out local women, he knew it was time to get out,

It begins when he reads about Laceys case, A wellknown radio sensation who believe in space life, Lacey Pameroy and her three year old daughter Abby have been getting death threats.
At first he believes the stalker is a male and sees this as a chance to protect a woman in need,

With the death threats starting as soon as her coast guard husband died, Lacey has been living her life in fear.
When the threats pick up a year later, help is called in,

Pretending to be her fiancé, Chaz wins the heart of not only Lacey but Abby too, Theyre not the only ones affected though, Chaz never before believed he would find a purpose again after losing his wife ten years ago and joining the military,

As he investigates her case, he finds clues that points to the one person who Lacey would never suspect and just may cost them their relationship when he voices his suspicion.

Now my problem with that is what relationship These two hardly had any big wow moments, certainly nothing like angels coming down to them saying He/shes the ONE for you!! It was all very boring.
Yes I read they were attracted to each other, that was written nice and clear, but the actions just didnt match, Quite boring actually.

So Chaz voices his suspicions, finds the proof and turns the case over to police before taking some RampR before Lacey can put anymore distance between them.

Going after him herself, she doesnt blame him and both are ready to make their engagement real,
Private Investigator Chaz Roylance lives by a code of honor: always be the protector, always tell the truth and never get involved with a client.
But from the moment he meets Lacey Pomeroy, the former navy SEAL knows he's in deep, With death threats aimed at her and her threeyearold daughter, Lacey needs the P, I. 's protectionnot romance. Faking a whirlwind engagement to draw the stalker out only confuses their arrangement, How can Chaz resist such an intriguing woman and the redhaired angel who calls him her hero Together, Chaz and Lacey set out to unmask the threat.
But when an identity's revealed, will their pretend family become realor will the fantasy be torn apart Very good book, When Lacey started getting death threats against her and her daughter, she went to her boss, He immediately hired Chaz to find out who was doing this and to protect Lacey and Abby, I really liked Lacey. Besides being brilliant, I loved her creativity with her book and her radio show definitely different than the average romance heroine, She was also a fantastic mother, Chaz was very good at his job, and took the threats against Lacey very seriously, He also found himself very attracted to Lacey, which never happened to him before with a client, Besides the attraction, he just enjoyed being with her and adored her daughter, As the investigation went on, he found himself thinking more and more about what it would be like to have them permanently in his life.
But when the stalker's identity is revealed, Chaz is afraid that their future could never happen, Promise

This is a good story with many twists and turns that keeps you reading, The characters were complex and interesting, Miniseries: Undercover Heroes What a book! An awesome read and quite the page turner!

The relationships in this book was wonderful, and what really got me is how close Abby got to Chaz.
His butterfly princess, anyyear old who lost their dad was lucky to gain a guy like Chaz in her life, This was a really good story, Lacey Pomeroy is a radio host who does a late night talk show on the Supernatural like Aliens, UFOs and Sasquatch, She also wrote a YA science fiction book when she was a teenager, She has a young daughter who looks just like her with curly red hair, And she is being stalked,
Chaz Roylance is a private investigator who is hired on the case, He is a former Navy Seal, After he meets Lacey and her daughter he is determined to protect them no matter what it takes, A fake engagement is just the thing to stay close to them, When he finds out who is stalking her he is afraid he will lose the two forever, The first chapter was just horrible, I don't know if it was just me but it felt like it was written by RW's granddaughter because it was filled "she did that, then this happened,.
. . " kind of writing that I very nearly stopped reading the book,

Luckily, I persevered and it turned out to to have an intriguing and happy, romantic ending that leaves you wanting to read more about the Undercover Heroes.
