I am fairly certain I read a different edition - mine contained the stories of Princess Tarakanova, the poet Chaadaev and Radzinsky's classic play "Lunin, or the death of Jacques." Radzinsky's style is very solid and old-fashioned, and I totally loved the book for that. The historical details are interesting and keep the reader's attention, while his take on the issues of power and patriotism are current and would give any reader of Russian lit something to think about.
