culture, I did not find anything that would be useful to use with my classes I teach English in a Korean high school.
My rating however is because of two other things, First, every single picture is very low resolution, blurry and pixelated, They do not illustrate what the book is describing because they are almost impossible to distinguish,

The second, far greater problem lies with the logical fallacies of the author, On numerous occasions, he makes assumptions that are not supported by evidence and instead demonstrate a lack of logical connection between ideas.
For example, on pagehe literally states that talking about sex "has created a whole new set of problems for Korean society.
" He presents no evidence for this, and immediately after this statement he makes other false conclusions, drawing a causal connection where there is none.

If "B" comes after "A" that does not mean that "B" was caused by "A" or even that there is any relation at all.
This is a common logical fallacy called "Post hoc ergo propter hoc" after this, therefore because of this,

If I get a paper cut and later go to a doctor, assuming that the paper cut caused the doctor visit is logically incorrect.
Either: I had a preexisting appointment that had nothing to do with the paper cut,. I have been very clumsy lately, which I why I am going to the doctor and also why I accidentally cut myself.
. I am a hypochondriac and went to the doctor because of a paper cut,

Assuming it isis faulty logic, as is assuming that it is any answer, Evidence must be presented before assumptions are made, This book made many specific assumptions without presenting evidence, My students like this textbook because it deals with issues that are important to them, I've used it in many classes, always with great success,

Yes, it has its problems, For one thing, some of the material has a tendency to become dated rather quickly, A lot of it focuses on the "now" and often particulars of the "now" have changed by the time you get around to discussing them.
My advice would be that the publisher do a yearly edition, I know that isn't very cost effective, but it would keep it more current, Or maybe print online chapters that can be accessed with a special code,

Whatever its problems, it's a good textbook to use in a discussion class for Korean students, The questions are thoughtprovoking, most of the topics are of interest, and the material is presented in an engaging way, A textbook and resource to develop English fluency among Korean students through controversial discussion topics relating to Korean culture, .
