Retrieve Rescued (Forever, #5) Crafted By Priscilla West Available As Document

received this as an ARC from the author, This was a pleasant surprise since my review was notfavorable, I would like to say that this book changed my opinion of the series,

So we have Hunter and Lorrie in the middle of their relationship breakdown, Thesehave seriously never been in an relationship if communication and secrets are at the forefront,

Yes, we know they both have personal issues to deal with but haven't they learned they can do it better together than apart.
As Lorrie struggles to find herself and deal with Marco's betrayal we see how strength and weakness can destroy someone,

I liked her strength and I liked how the author made her flaws visible without making her look like an idiot.
I also liked how Hunter made himself visible in her life without acting like a macho alphamale,

As the story continues we see how their struggles turn to strength and how they deal with it separately and together.

My only negative is the ending I didn't like the abrupt way the story changed to the future, I did not like how the epilogue came to be, However I did like the fact that the story had not just ended without knowing how our heroes fared,

Overall this story has improved and I have grown to like the characters but I loved the story it is worth it.
The conclusion to Lorrie and Hunter's journey to a healthy relationship, She didn't really get answers but she got Hunter, I love this book although I got frustrated with Lorrie and her stepfatherthe murderer, This seem like a very realistic romance novel, Loved it . This book was perfect, with its imperfect people, unanswered questions and shitty situations,

Life is not perfect, so I was glad when Priscilla West continued how she started in Wrecked, There were still situations where life dealt Hunter and Lorrie some crappy moments, but by creating their own 'normal', with love, patience, support, a ton of gumption, and someone at your back, worked well for them.
. .

"I know it's been difficult for you, " I shook my head. "It's okay. That's what we're here for right To save each other from doing stupid things You've saved me a few times already, so I guess it's my turn now.
" He nodded slowly, a thoughtful expression on his face, "

"You have me, " he said between heavy breaths, "As long as you have me, you'll have somewhere to go, "

This is a beautiful sad story with a empowering theme,
I read both Wrecked and Rescued as a series so my review speaks to both,

Cliffhangers . everywhere I turn anymore, there are freaking cliffhangers! I am seriously glad that I got to read this entire story and not left hanging at Book.

These two books were a mess of emotions, painful situations and guarded secrets, Priscilla tackles some pretty strong subjects amazingly well and enough to captivate you and make you want to come back for more.

In "Wrecked," we meet Lorrie and Hunter, Lorrie is lost, emotionless and broken, Her mother is dead, her father committed suicide and worst case scenario, she has absolutely no idea what started all this in motion.
Hunter, the bad boy MMA fighter finds Lorrie and of course is drawn to her in a way he can't understand,

Lorrie has no desire to open herself up to anyone but Hunter's charming personality convinces her they need to be friends.
An intensely beautiful friendship develops which in turn leads to a romantic relationship, But even that relationship begins to take on a life of its own when they ignore the outside world and retreat into each other.
You can tell they continue to hide what is really hurting them inside,

Things come to a head at the end of "Wrecked" leading to one heck of a cliffhanger, "Rescued" picks up at the end and finally gets to the reveal of what Hunter has been hiding, I truly can't offer much of a synopsis without giving away the entire story,

These books perfectly compliment each other, are extremely fluid and wonderfully written, I will say that neither books were exactly what I expected, There are some times that are fairly slow but the buildups are perfect,

Pick up this intense series and get another sexy, steamy book boyfriend to add to your collection!,
I did not like this as much as the first, but I did like that we were given closure, The end got nailbitingly goodI just wished the whole story was that way, I would have liked more answers about her mother's death, but overall I felt it was a nice ending to their story.
This book hits you with a onetwo punch to the gut, It leaves you wrecked and emotional, sobbing into your pillow, and then gives you the ray of sunshine you need in order to recover.

This book picks up where the first one left off, After the emotional breakup Lorrie and Hunter went through at the end of the first book, we finally get to see what Hunter was keeping secret.
Why he was so determined to keep fighting and to keep pieces of himself from Lorrie, He didn't want to be a burden to her, but he didn't realize that she needed to have no barriers between them.

This book took you on a journey as they struggled to be there for each other, while dealing with their own struggles.
It shows the fine line we walk when we are drowning in our own pain and suffering, yet trying to keep it from those we need and love the most.
The struggle to be strong, and to remain independent, is a real one, This story addresses issues that most people will never have to deal with, and it does it in the most beautiful way possible.

I must admit that I wanted to thrown my Kindle several times while reading this book, It was just that powerful, While this series has some similarities to other fighter stories, this book was completely different in the most important ways, This story had me captivated from beginning to the end, The author certainly has a beautiful novel on her hands here, and I cannot recommend it enough, I was really looking forward to this followup to wrecked, I was glad that Lorrie and Hunter got their HEA but I was a little disappointed in the story, It was emotional but I enjoyed the first book a lot more, I found Lorrie annoying in the first book and didn't like her any better in the second, Great read if . you enjoyed the first book, new adult novels, romance stories, over coming obstacles, facing challenges, haunting pasts, hot sex scenes, college stories, defining relationships, fighting for what you want, unexpected turns, plot twists, pushing forward, and a bittersweet HEA!

Side Note: So after reading the first one all I hoped for was that the second one wouldn't just be an extended repeat of the first novel.
And I'm glad it wasn't! Here's the thing with reading Priscilla's work, you float along, you enjoy yourself, there are some things that make you smile or swoon and just when you think this book was good, BOOOOOOMMMMMMMM, it gets real and goes from being good to great! Just the WTF just happened moments and OMG moments alone make this a must read.
Priscilla has her own style and I think she's underrated, I'm very VERY glad I read these books! ARC REVIEW,

This book took emotion to the next level, everything these two people went thru was horrible and so unexpected, I mean, while reading I knew something was going to happen but not at all what I had expected,
in this book you see these people in a different light and it was truly sad but empowering!

I loved this book! Rescued, the follow up to Wrecked, by Priscilla West, is an emotion filled roller coaster.
At the conclusion of Wrecked, things with Lorrie and Hunter are completely messed up, Due to a series of huge misunderstandings and total lack of communication, Lorrie has fled college and Hunter, The murder of Lorries mother by her stepfather is something that she just cannot put behind and her and her stepfather is hell bent on not making that any easier on her.
Hunter is afraid to tell Lorrie everything that he has been hiding from her for fear that she will either leave him or pity him.
Not many young women want to deal with a man who has a progressive debilitating disease, He does come to find her and win her back, but as we already know it will not be an easy road.

I loved the Rescued just as much as I loved Wrecked, There is a lot of heavy subject material to deal with here, so if youre looking for a roses and sunshine wrapup you will be disappointed.
Given their circumstances and their relationship, everything is very realistic and relatable, My heart ached for them both, They needed each other so much, but the things they were dealing with made it so hard for them to communicate, Neither wanted to seem weak or needy, Pride is sometimes not a good trait to have, Its not all doom and gloom though, There are some incredibly sweet moments that Lorrie and Hunter shared, and I feel like I appreciated them more given the hard times they were having.

Again the last third of this book was like a freight train, I absolutely devoured this book, I had to know how things were going to play out between Hunter and Lorrie as well as how they deal with everything in the outside world.

stars Received a copy from the author in exchange of an honest review,

I am going to keep this review short and sweet, it was the perfect ending, I don't think I would have wanted this book to end any other way,

I also find it highly refreshing that the author made Hunter a genuine good guy, not some crazy psychopath that falls in love with the main character.

Finally I think we could all use a little Hunter in our life, he is a true man, . . unlike someone of these others we read about,

Sigh. I am sad it is over, Go read this already I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for my review,

I was SO excited to get my hands on this book and find out what the future held for Lorrie and Hunter.
This book was good, but in my honest opinion it didn't feel very well thought out, It almost felt like, well there needed to be a conclusion so I just wrote something, I felt like it was way to short to begin with, There were so many situations that could have been more developed, Hunter chased after her right

away and with aminute conversation, they were back together and working on a future, It was almost like . all the build up in the last book, the big cliff hanger, all for them to just get right back together within the first pages of the book.
It seemed so rushed.

I still loved the book, It was nice to see that they got it right and worked things out, BUT there was just so much that needed to be expounded on, The whole thing with the step father could have just been left out of the book, It really made no sense, I mean, I understand Lorrie wanting answers, but it just seemed so forced, I would have loved to see this book be more about their reunion, and getting though Hunter's illness troubles, then ard book about them a few years down the road.

I do appreciate the chance to read this early, and I do love that they finally got it right :

Rescued was a great conclusion to the Wrecked Series!!

What I liked: Hunter!! PURELYHunter!! I loved after the ending of book one, he chases after Lorrie relentlessly until she finally gave in.

Which brings me to my ONLY QUALM with Hunter, . .

Why Lorrie! Why her! She was so frustrating at times while he was so sweet, sexy, and charming, If I could meet a guy like Hunter I would be all over him!

Sorry!! Got side tracked there!! Mini rant over!!.
. .

Now back to why I LOVED Hunter!!

I mean, as new challenges, revelations, and even more twists and turns presented themselves, I liked how Hunter was the rock to hold himself and Lorrie together.
As for Lorrie, I dont know, I wanted her to be more proactive and stronger but she kind of fell short for me, I'm not saying that she's a bad or horrible person because she's not, She did have some redeeming points throughout the story BUT, . . I REALLY WISH she was more ardent and more like worthy and engaging like Hunter, Just saying.

What I didnt like: There was NO real punch to this
story, :
And as USUAL, Lorrie was still annoying and
over dramatic, Ugh.

Over all, a lovely read that had its ups and downs for me at times but nonetheless I enjoyed over all!

I really reveled in the struggles that each of the characters go through and seeing how far they come along to make it work.
In a way, you could say, they rescue each other from their own personal hells and bring out the light in one another.

Im so sad that there will be no more Hunter from here on out but Im glad that I can be satisfied that our characters have FINALLY found some peace and order in their lives.
And have each other as rewards!!

Awesome two part series!

An ARC was graciously provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you!
