I went into this book anticipating good things. It had been referenced in another book I had read (maybe by Catherine Marshall? I can't remember).
The book basically introduced the Russian idea of Poustinia (a place of solitude and prayer) to the western world. There were some interesting thoughts in here, but by the end of the book, we were immersed in her prayer process and thoughts were popping into her mind - jumping here to there. -
Part 5-star book, part 3-star book. I skimmed a fair amount but also underlined and starred a lot of passages. I’ll no doubt be returning to these marked passages again.
