To help others see that beauty,
Makes the heavens open its loving arms
Memphis Johnson loves his Montana ranch. It is something he has worked hard for all his life. When his Pa died, he swore he would give back by helping others see the beauty in the land, as Pa did for him. But with that can come trouble and even heartache. One misfortunate girl begins a different kind of hard work for Memphis. He tries to help her learn the ropes and tame her wild ways. His heart opens too wide for her, and he finds he has to change tactics fast or lose her.
Sadie Tisdale is your typical ‘city girl’, with the latest fashions and a wealthy father who gives her anything she asks for. She loves to party, hang out with the wrong people and doesn't have a care in the world until one night… After being arrested, again, her father has had enough of her wild ways and decides to teach her a lesson. A lesson which could cost her the love of her father and the money she is supposed to receive on her twenty first birthday if she doesn't comply.
Spoiled city girls don’t mix with country. Will Sadie learn there is more to life than staying out all night and having sex with a different guy each time? Can she calm her wild ways or will she run?

Country Heaven (Country Love Series #1) Reviews
-
I read on a review about another book that went like this-- "Spell check does not take the place of editing."
Another one said-- "The author changes tenses in the middle of paragraphs, and has internal dialogue next to speech, but it's not the person speaking who is having internal dialogue. Very confusing!"
And even another one-- "This book had great potential, but failed to deliver!"
All of these reviews about another book should have been written about this book. The grammatical errors were heinous! The dialogue confusing. I often wasn't sure who exactly said what. The plot was great, but the errors were so glaring I almost DNF!!
I really liked Memphis. He was adorable, but the way the author chose to have him speak, made him sound like a hick. And at one point, it mentions his SOUTHERN ACCENT, when he was born and raised in MONTANA! There ain't nothin SOUTHERN about Montana!!!
Sadie was one of the most annoying characters I have ever read!!! She can't decide between Memphis and Jag. She sneaks out with Jag despite having feelings for Memphis. THEN comes Colby!!!! I mean, what the hell??????? Stupid, selfish, annoying, deceitful, and just lame. Not to mention, the whole book happened in less than a month or so. Talk about insta-love!!!!!! Ugh!
I know-- different stroked for different folks, but I really do NOT understand all the five star ratings. I really don't plan on reading any more books by this author because of this experience. She needs to get an editor, pronto! -
Loads of Sweetness
That's what this was. You have a city brat named Sadie Tisdale (even the name sounds like it was made for a brat) sent to stay with a hot southern cowboy named Memphis to teach her a thing or two. It's a story of the beauty of the land, getting your hands dirty, waking at the ass crack of dawn, simplicity, southern hospitality, and love of a family, which is something Sadie hadn't had in a long time. The two eventually become smitten with each other but it's not only Memphis who has eyes for her.

I'd like to start off this review by saying this is the 1st book of Vicki Green that I've read. Not knowing what to expect, I had an image of the man male character in my head and began the story with high hopes.
I.WAS.NOT.DISAPPOINTED!!!
This story was everything I could have wanted and MORE. I LOVED every minute of it and felt as though I was in the country, watching the animals and living the words through the characters.
Memphis.....oh holy hell swoon Memphis. He's on his own, in a sense, struggling to build upon the ranch of his family. Although he's surrounded by the love of Mable and the others that help him tend to the land, he's missing something - HER!!!
Sadie is feisty, a party girl set in her ways sent to find something more, something bigger in life. Working on the ranch wasn't what she had planned in her future, but the things she sees, the love she feels of the land changes her perception of what is really good.
Ok so you've gotten the idea that I loved this book, I totally did!!! There were moments I shed a few tears, grabbed onto my kindle scared to swipe to the next page and times that I couldn't erase the smile from my face.
Vicki Green this was an AMAZING book and I can't wait to read the next. Well done girlie :) -
This has been on my TBR List since late 2015 when the RP came to audible I was so excited because all these books I had wanted to read but just never had the time were popping up in audio.
I love me a cowboy so you can imagine my surprise when I went looking for something I had wanted to check out for a long time and this gem was in the RP!
I loved Memphis he is authentically himself from the beginning of the story to the end. He just wants his ranch to be as successful and it was when his father was alive.
I love that his heart is so big and he gives anyone a chance to prove themselves.
Sadie and I will probably never be friends she was too stuck-up in the beginning and then she did a 180 and it was almost too much. I didn’t really feel like she was sincere it felt forced. I don’t know if that was because she was so different at the beginning of the book or what.
One cooking lesson and she was all of a sudden a cooker I don’t know that part also was very rushed. I think it could have played out a little differently without the heartbreak.
Overall I enjoyed the book, I think I might even check out more books in this series.
I loved the narration, only wish the female pov’s would have been done in a female narrator but THANK GOD the narrator didn’t try and do a female voice... Small favors :) If it’s going to be all narrated by a man I liked it exactly like this. -
My 5 star rating goes to Memphis. He's hot! He's amazing! But, most of all he's a gentleman! Who wouldn't swoon over a hot cowboy from Montana????
The most sweetest guy you ever want to meet is Memphis Johnson! He’s kind and caring with not a mean bone in his body. As he runs his own farm alone since both his parents’ passing, he decides to help others that are not so fortunate as himself by giving them a place to eat and sleep and in return they can help him out with the farm. He thought it sounded like a great idea and one that his pa would be mighty proud of. Things seem to be going along just fine until he meets wealthy and spoiled Sadie Tisdale. Encountering Sadie was like nothing Memphis ever imagined. She was angry and difficult. Having been sent to the farm by her father because of some trouble she had been in, it was his only hope that she would see what a great big wonderful world was out there. So here she is mad at her father and everyone she came in contact with, spouting off how life was unfair and how dare her father send her to this God forsaken place in the middle of nowhere. But, Memphis just being the absolute gentleman, pays no mind and actually gets a kick out of her. She’s actually very pretty, and he has to hold in his laughter because of her pouting theatrics. What will happen as these two get to know each other? Will Sadie realize that her snobby and ignorant ways are no longer necessary as she grows to appreciate Memphis and the beautiful land that he calls home?
Ah, this was such a beautiful love story. It was tender and sweet, and you could just feel the romance building as the story moved along. Two young people who really just needed each other in order to feel alive again. This novel was not just about the romance, however. There was also some suspense thrown in too with a cast of characters so memorable. Who could forget the wise and heartwarming Mable who welcomed Sadie with open arms? And, what about the renegade, Jag, with his piercings and tattoos who stirs up danger and destruction as he becomes a resident at the farm? Will Sadie survive the whole ordeal when chaos and devastion come knocking on her door? Do Sadie and Memphis stand a chance of finding happiness together?
There was so much going on in this book. From the first page turned my engrossment into this novel was immediate. It kept my attention totally, and I was delighted with quite a few swoon-worthy moments. If all cowboys were like Memphis Johnson, I’d be on my way to Montana pronto! He was a total hunk of deliciousness!! And, when all is said and done, Sadie becomes someone that her father virtually can be proud of. She matures into a smart and confident young woman. A very entertaining read! Now let’s see what Colby Carter is up to when his story is explored in the next installment of this series... -
This was my first time reading on of Vicki books and I really enjoyed it! Let me just say that I absolutely fell in love with Memphis! He is such a good guy without a hint of asshole! He's romantic, open with his feelings, and smokin' hot! What more could a girl ask for??!! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

3.5 stars
I’m a little confused by how I feel about this book as I really enjoyed the love story at the heart of it but I just felt the execution wasn’t as good as it could have been I’m sorry to say.
Memphis is a good country boy that is a character you like straight away that seems old before his time. After struggling to manage the farm he has inherited after his parents passing away Memphis decides to take in hands on the premise of bed and board in return for working on the farm while hoping to help people out along the way. His first two hands have been successful and then he takes in Sadie at the request of her father and Jag who he has doubts about from the offset.
Sadie is a really complicated character to get to grips with she has an outer image that spells trouble and after getting herself into trouble with the wrong crowd yet again her father has decided to send her off into the middle of nowhere to learn about herself and think about her actions it would seem. Yet Sadie’s inner monologues dismiss the entire spoilt rich kid image and you actually feel sorry for her, despite her initial attitude to those around her. I really found Sadie finding almost every male she crossed as instantly attractive to the point of wanting to hump them and question her connection to Memphis so annoying that I just rolled my eyes as I felt it did a dis-service to the heart of the story and made you doubt any attraction between the two main characters until almost the end of the book.
Jag is trouble with a capital T and Memphis knows this from their first meeting but his good nature decides to give Jag a chance. Soon it becomes apparent that Jag has intentions to drag Sadie into his troublesome ways and when it all goes wrong he is hell bent on revenge that puts Memphis and Sadie repeatedly in danger. However this does eventually seem to be the push they need to recognise their feelings and for Sadie to recognise the mistakes she has made in her past but will they be able to make a future together?
The issues I had with the book was primarily the country boy language used for Memphis’ character, I really struggled with reading it and for me it made reading this book hard work and so less enjoyable. I also felt a lot of the inner monologues of the characters were long winded and very repetitive with not enough discussion of those concerns between characters. And lastly there were too many parts of the story that were just left unvisited or tied off too easily for my liking, mainly all tied around the character Jag who it seems was just placed in the story to cause trouble with no explanation of the consequences that came from the trouble he caused especially Sadie’s reactions to them.
However, I am intrigued by the Epilogue for the next book in the series and look forward to Colby’s story. -
What a wonderful story. OMG!! This is the first book I have read by author Vicki Green and I have to say I am a fan. I love the way she told the story of Memphis and Sadie. Of course her cover model Justin Keeton is too die for!! TOTALLY YUMMY!!! So of course knowing he is Memphis anything that happens to him in the book your either happy or sad for him. I felt close to the characters as I read this story almost if I was in the story myself. The characters all loving and friendly well all but one of them anyways. A story you can totally relate to even if you are like me a city girl. I can't wait for book 2.

I am not exactly into cowboy stories. I won this audiobook from the author's giveaway. Thank you again, Vicki Green for this audiobook prize.
The best thing about audiobooks is that they take your reading experience to another level. Hearing how the characters sound elicits more involvement from the reader. I have come to the point where I basked in the glory of audiobooks. They are an experience book lovers should not miss. The only downside is I haven't mastered the art of bookmarking quotes and memorable conversations in audiobooks. A challenge I am willing to take in my next audiobook session.
As I have said, I am not into a lot of cowboy books. I have read some and this one is one of its kind. Aside from the fact that this came in an audiobook, which enhanced its appeal, the characters and the story is just as endearing. The two main characters are from totally different worlds. Their worlds collided when Sadie, a city girl who loves to party, was sent by her dad to Memphis' ranch as a punishment so she will change her ways. Memphis on the other hand is unsure of how this brat will fare with the hard labors of the ranch.
Memphis is a true-blooded cowboy to the heart. He grew up in the ranch which was a product of his Pa's hard work and is now passed on to him. The ranch is his life until Sadie came and turned his world upside down. If I wanted to meet a real cowboy, I wanted him to be just like Memphis. He is a textbook and perfect example of a true-blue cowboy.
Sadie and Memphis' first meeting was not ideal. They both turned each other off. It was hilarious and cute to hear this two bicker and Sadie surely tested the limits of Memphis patience and gentlemanly manner. Sadie was an irritating brat at the beginning but later realized that she had no choice but accept her situation and face it. Her transformation was a feast to behold. How she changed into someone who can do things on her own, physical labor at that, like milking cows and tending to the horses made her realize that there is a world outside of parties and drunken nights. How her relationship with Memphis changed was also very gradual and a delight to the senses. She had to understand how important the ranch is to Memphis and learn to see the beauty of the land before her to appreciate all the hard work she contributes to the whole operation.
The story isn't just about the transformation of Sadie. It's also about how people in the country help each other through bad times. This was a sweet read yet thought-provoking. It makes you understand the hardships and the toils required to keep a ranch. It's no easy feat. The story has a happy ending and the best thing was how Sadie found her niche. She found what she really wanted to do and what she was good at. So, her being exiled to the ranch was the best thing that ever happened to her.
I give this 5/5 pairs cowboy boots. This story was very engaging and Memphis just melts my heart to puddles. I am actually looking forward to the rest of the books in the series. I am curious if I am going to totally fall into this genre or just dip into this sparingly. I have enjoyed this read. -
Hotness Rating 3 out of 5
Country Heaven is the first book of the Country Love series by Vicki Green. I am so torn after reading this book. I liked the characters a lot. But, the style of the book threw me. I kept looking back to see if this book was a historical romance or written in the early 1900's. The way the lead character and those around him spoke, as well as the basis of why Sadie was at the ranch was very outdated and quaint. But, then I would get to parts with cell phones and wi-fi and think nope not a misprint this is really a contemporary novel. I must say had it been based in the early 1900's I would have very little complaints about this book.
Memphis Johnson is a sweet and sexy rancher who sees the world through rose colored glasses. He lost his mom at a young age. Luckily he was blessed with a good father to raise him and teach him how to be a good man, but now he's gone as well. Memphis has been left with a lot of land to work and few ranch hands. In a flash of inspiration Memphis decides to place an ad for a second chance ranch as you will. He'll provide food, lodging and a chance for something better in exchange for honest hardwork. He gets a couple responses to the ad and gives each one a lot of thought. But, when he gets a response back from a rich city guy asking Memphis to take his daughter for a time Memphis is torn. It seems the girl has been going a bit wild and the dad wants her away from all of the bad influences that are contributing to her behavior.
Sadie Tisdale is mad as hell that she's bent sent to this backwoods ranch that has nothing to offer. She has no problem taking it out on the sexy cowboy that shows up at the train station to pick her up. She knows she is acting like a spoiled brat, but she really doesn't care. She cares about little in life, actually. In her mind, her dad has always thrown money at her to keep from having to spend time with her, so why should he start acting like he cares now that she is enjoying her life.
I loved how Memphis responded to Sadie's spoiled brat ways. He was almost amused by her tantrums and saw right through her entitled ways right to the person she was trying to hide. Memphis was sweet and naive, but a really good strong man. It was exactly what Sadie needed. The more time she spent with Memphis and his housekeeper the more she felt that she was becoming the woman she was meant to be.
There was an element of suspense thrown in and it did keep me wondering for awhile, but it also made me want to shake Sadie for doing the things she was doing.

Memphis! God this man has one of the biggest hearts ever!!! I fell for him. He was perfect with Sadie, our girl was a hot mess when she got to his ranch. Sadie is your typical rich city girl who pretty much did what she wanted, when she wanted. No rules, which in turn got her in trouble and caused her dad to take action.
When she gets to the ranch she has no clue what is expected of her. She has a lot of work to do on the ranch and she is clueless. Memphis is patient with her, he makes sure that she gets some of the easier jobs done. She is taken under the wing of, Memphis' mother figure. Sadie, learned so many things that she had no clue she was capable of doing. Cooking and gardening. Our girl starts to fall fro Memphis, but hell who wouldn't. He's hotter than fuck and dammit if he's not delicious without his shirt. Him working on his land has done his body VERY GOOD.
Memphis takes notice of Sadie, she's just gorgeous. Young and fiesty. But he's so scared to act on his feelings. He doesn't know if she is attracted to him, but he has caught her staring. Sadie, is young and rebellious and gets herself in some trouble while under Memphis' watchful eye. This causes some problems, but it also brings Sadie and Memphis together. They finally start talking about their feelings. But tragedy strikes and our young Sadie is forced to grow up and she does beautifully being there for Memphis and being an amazing support system.
Memphis is such a gentleman, this makes him so much more attractive!!! Sadie, is not used to the attention and she is loving how Memphis is so caring.
Vicki Green gives us a beautiful story. God, our two characters learn to love, to trust one another and to simply enjoy each other. True love is found and I enjoyed the story line. I am excited to see the next book!!!! -
***** 5 Cranky Stars *****
"Heaven is in the eyes of the beholder, To help others see that beauty, Makes the heavens open its loving arms."
Memphis Johnson loves his Montana Ranch. He loves the land and all its beauty, never even thought of living anywhere else. His family may not be by blood anymore but they're family just the same.
"I noticed he hadn’t forgotten the country ways. I guess some things are born in ya."
Sadie is a spoiled brat who is sent to Memphis' ranch as punishment for being out of control by her father. She quickly learns to open her eyes and her heart to the beauty that surrounds her. Now the land owns her, heart, body and soul, as does the sexy rancher, Memphis.
This book is sweet, sexy and suspenseful. Vickie Green opened my eyes to see, hear and feel the beauty that surrounds me everyday. I was completely engrossed in the suspense and couldn't put this book down.
If you're looking for a series full of irresistible Cowboys and the hard headed women who tame them, then this is the series for you. -
Being a blogger is sometimes simply the best thing ever when you get to read a book as well written as Country Heaven. I'm quite new to the writing of Vicki Green but from now on I will be first in line to buy her new releases. This book has a wonderful alpha male who, in my opinion, was more accessible to the reader because of the descriptions Vicki wrote so fabulously, I was really able to visualize him. It helped that the wonderful Justin Keeton was the cover model and muse. Memphis is just a wow character. He is strong yet tender, independent yet yearning a partner. When Sadie comes barelling into his live it instantly improves. Sadie is a lady who has suffered loss as was unable to deal with this until her move to Montana and Memphis's ranch. She found peace and beauty in the land and the people, especially Memphis. Could it be that simple, well no and you wouldn't want it to be because this is where Vicki Green moves her book from a generic romance book to a tremendous book of romance and suspense. A skill I've not witnessed in many books. My reviews are normally quite short but in the case of Country Heaven I could go on and on singing its praise. But I won't because you are going to go one click and read this book - right???
Well done Vicki Green on scintillating book. I wish I could award more than 5 stars ~ Rosie -

There is something about Vicki's writing that is very unique... It's always so romantic and she always manages to sneak some big OMG moments in there.
This was such a heartwarming romantic story and it was basically just one of a kind stories you cannot but love.
Sadie: She is a huge brat for some time during the book but she redeemed herself more and more as the story developed.
Memphis: Swoooonn! Where can I get me one? A good ol' hard workin' country man. He is kind hearted and is always prepared to help others.
Oh sweet old Mable was such a loving character and a definite help to get Sadie to change for the better.
Tina is Sadie's best friend and is so much fun, although her part in the book was rather limited, I really loved her small interventions.
My my my, you can't do anything without some drama right?! One particular character wil cause some major havoc and it's that that has added an extra edge to this story.
I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it to everyone who likes a good romance story with an edge. -
What happens when your father ships you off to the country to work on a ranch because he can't get you to curb the partying? City girl Sadie is about to find out.
Memphis is a hardworking country boy who took over his parents ranch after they passed. In hopes to teach Sadie responsibility, her father sends her to work on Memphis' ranch.
The instant attraction between Memphis and Sadie is undeniable but will they allow themselves to act on it or ignore it?
This book is a roller coaster of emotions with fantastic characters that I just l fell in love with from page 1. The story flows so smoothly it makes you want to keep reading, cover to cover without stopping. Vicki has an incredible way of painting the picture of the small country town that Memphis lives in and the gorgeous ranch he owns. This is a book I will read over and over and never tire of it. -
I'm not a big fan of country/cowboy books, but I loved Country Heaven. It's cute, romantic, and a little suspenseful.
Memphis, this country boy won my heart. He's sweet, loving, caring, always putting others in front of him, and HOT (which is a plus). He is easily lovable, hence why he won my heart.
Sadie was a nuisance before she found the country life. But like others, the country life was exactly what she needed all along. Reading through this you can see how much she has matured throughout the book. Who knew replying to a help wanted ad online would bring so much happiness and joy. But with happiness comes bad things. very bad things.
Fall in love with Memphis and Sadie in Country Heaven. It's a one-click must. -

Review for Nerdy Book Freak
Country boys are normally my thing but I read the synopsis and thought Heck why not sounds pretty awesome so I gave it a go and I really enjoyed it. Now I think I'm going to change my opinion on cowboys because Memphis is drool worthy and a man any woman would do anything to keep. Sadie was sent to stay with Memphis on his farm and work to teach her lesson. At first they are not seeing eye to eye but as a few days past they start to like one another then in comes Jag and he has a thing for Sadie to but Jag is not a good guy and Memphis gets jealous. Now I don't want to spoil the story but you should definitely read this book it was really amazing. -
I was given an ARC copy of Country Heaven by Vicki Green for an honest review. I was really excited to get it.
I LOVED it from the first chapter. I couldn't put down this book. I wanted to know more about Memphis and Sadie. The way Vicki described the ranch and the land I felt like I was walking with the characters through the house or riding through the fields. I felt every emotion they felt. This was a refreshing read that left me with a smile on my face and wanting Book 2. Country Heaven is a must read for all those romantics out there. If you like some country adventure, this is also for you. -
Memphis has a huge far that has been in his family for years. He lost both of his parents. Setting out to do what he thinks is right, he puts out an ad for help around the farm. The help can live in the employee house.
Sadie is a little on the wild side. She has gotten in trouble a few times and her dad has had enough. She is shipped of to Memphis' farm. Little does she know, she has to actually work.
Memphis and Sadie have an attraction that they fight until they can't anymore.
I love this story! We learn about growing up, love, lose, friendship and so much more! Just when you think it's all figured out, it's not! I cannot wait to read the next book.
5 out of 5 stars. -
I fell for this book before I ever opened it. The cover is beautiful! However the inside of this book out shined the cover. Vickie Green has done it again with Memphis and Sadie. Two people trying to over come heart break and loss trying to live life and fill the hole in their hearts from missing their loved ones. Just when you think they will work things out and be together things always seem to get in the way. Can they over come it all to see the beauty in the land and in each other? This book had everything you look for in a great read. Great job Vickie Green

The story has laughs, pain, grief, suspense, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story.
This is Memphis and Sadie’s story. Memphis is running his family ranch but needs help. He runs an ad in the paper and hires 3 men and 1 woman. The more time he spends with Sadie the more he falls for her. But is she falling for him? Sadie is confused about her feelings and wonders if Memphis is really the one for her. When he gets hurt she knows he is the one for her. But has she waited to long to tell him how she feels?
I highly recommend this story and this series. -
If your heart loves a true romance this one will fill your heart with so much excitement. I am a true romantic that believes in fate Memphis and Saddie has taken me into there life and made me mad and fall in love with them. The farm life has a whole new side to it through Vickis eyes. You will fall in love with them and you will fall in love with farm life and land she writes about. Thank you for this wonderful adventure this is hands down 10 star book. Perfect in every way.

The characters in this book are amazing and you will fall in love with them. I know that I did. The story is amazing and once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down. I read it in one sitting and forgot about everything else. This is a must read, no doubt about.

EVERYONE needs to experience the romance of country love, and Vicki helps us do just that!! From the first sentence, she does what she does! <3 I experience Everything that each of her characters experience. I felt the lay of the land.. from the wind rustling the leaves, to each emotion of Memphis & Sadie. This book is now my favorite of Vicki's, yet somehow, I am thinking that she will change that with her next! Lol!
-
Vicki Green really knows how to write an amazing story. I loved how I was hooked from the first page, I can't believe that I waited this long to read this story. Does city mix with country? Sadie is an out of control 21 year old. Sadie had a lesson to learn from her father. Vicki Green writes so well that no matter what type of story she writes you feel everything that she wants you to feel while reading these. Memphis and Sadie have a battle on their hands and its well worth your time to read this. Loved every minute of it.
