book was a blast! A group of Avengers plucked from various points in the timestream by a familiar face who may not be all he appears to be to fight Ultron, who is now more powerful than ever before!

We get Black Widow and Vision from our 'present day', which would be just before Secret Wars hits.
We also get the Hulk from just before the Avengers formed, the Jim Rhodes Iron Man from the 's and a Thor pulled from partway through Walt Simonson's classic run.
In addition to these blasts from the past, we also get the current female Thor but plucked from a point somewhere in the future where/when she's been a serving Avenger for quite some time.
Last but not least is a future Captain America, . . and it isn't Steve Rogers but it isn't Sam Wilson, either, Let's just say that fans of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones will be happy with who is wielding the shield!

With this cast in place Al Ewing and Alan Davis provide a thrillaminute train ride across time and space with some real shocks and twists.
Ewing clearly knows the Marvel Universe inside out and shows it, Davis is one of my very favourite comicbook artists and he's firing on all cylinders here,

The book is SO much fun, particularly if you're a longtime Marvel reader like me and by 'longtime' I mean a good few decades, The ending was great, too, . . A really nice touch.

Anyway, I loved it, If you seek it out on the basis of this review, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, I'm going to bed now, . .

Just more than a comic book, this is a wonderful tribute to all the amazing past stories we old Marvel fans loved so much in our childhood/teen ages.
It comes from the heart and strikes right there, Alan Davis is at his best and more, had a real blast reading this, Excelsior!!!

For ASGARD! For MIDGARD! For ALL the Ten Realms!

LET THE CALL GO FORTH, .

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!
,Lame. But that's kind of what I expect from a Marvel timetravel book, Actually it was readable and the writing and art weren't bad, But there was nothing special here, And the back up stories were not particularly good reprints, It is possible to do a time travel story and it not be a waste of time, But for me that would require some attention to character, and there's not much of that here, There's an obvious element of homage to the timey, wimey and only moderately ridiculous Avengers Forever here, But more than that, it reads like a love letter to mainstream eighties superhero comics, when they were just starting to up their game but hadn't yet got miserable.
When space armadas and robot armies could clash with heroes, and that was enough, but the dialogue was starting to be nonpainful, Silver Age nostalgia is all well and good, but that stuff was my generation's equivalent, so of course I love this, Now this just makes me want to punch a Marvel editor in the face, This is a threeissue miniseries, but instead of being numberedthrough, it's Avengers: Ultron Forever, New Avengers: Ultron Forever, and Uncanny Avengers: Ultron Forever, This isn't three interrelated single issues, It's one continuous story. Why don't we just call every book every monthIdiots,

The story is fine, Avengers from different eras are brought together to fight Ultron in the future, Al Ewing and Alan Davis are a couple of my favorite creators, but this feels like a throwaway story, Then, for filler, we have old issues from the's,'s and's of some of the characters, the version depicted in this comic, Awww, this was cute!

Avengers from different eras of Marvel's proud publishing history form up to confront one of their eternal foes, . . and learn a few things about teamwork, heroism, and themselves along the way,

I loved future Captain America, lunkhead 's Hulk and discoera Jim Rhodes as Iron Man, Did there really need to be three Thors Sure, why not, the more dialogue in nordic fonts the better, And good thing "modern day" Natasha was there to do some powerless Avenging and long overdue bonding with "Vizh, " Close to the start of Al Ewing's "epic" that ties into The Ultimates, The Royals, Guardians of the Galaxy, MarvelIncoming, Hulk and the Defenders,

Also, kind of an intermediary between Busiek's Avengers Forever and Jason Aaron's that's starting in November,

This trade paperback does everything I'd hoped that it would, and it did it really well, Consider that rating a One thing I think that should be done differently is that these included back issues:
The Incredible HulkMar
Iron ManNovember,
and ThorApril,
I list them, with their publication dates, because bizarrely this information is not anywhere to be found in the trade itself.
They're included in the book for continuity context, . . without providing their continuity context, . . sloppy oversight

The back issues should have been included at the beginning of the book, rather than the end, If you're anything like me you might not be, you'll want to read them first so you can understand the timedisplaced characters that star in the book, Also these are really fun windows into diverse past versions of the founding Avengers, They were probably put in the back so that a customer flipping through the beginning of the book could have been turned off by someDitko artwork no offenseDitko the cool kids know you paved the way.

Alan Davis is a fantastic artist especially when paired with capable writers and editors and his work in this book is more fun than any of the other books I've seen him on over the last decade or more.

It may have benefited from some more padding some quality views of the desperate terrible conditions of life under Ultron would have pushed it to afor me but for pacing sake, it rushes forward, and that was a good time too.
It's pretty much a Daleks Conquer Earth story, mixed with atth World dystopia something today's reader would do well to weigh consider the trajectory ofUnited States with its systematically dismantled checks and balances.

Ewing is a god, cannot get into Davis art New Avengers fromth century, its different but in a good wat like we have present Steve Rogers as Captain America but in the future she will be Danielle Cage the daughter from Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as Captain America.
In an homage to Avengers Forever, Ewing brings together a team of timelost Avengers to fight against Marvel's newest multimedia sensation, Ultron, Ewing's strong writing shows right through in three short issues he offers more explanation of why specific Avengers were picked than we saw in the whole very long Avengers Forever comic.
And the reasons are delightful and thoughtful, Beyond that, this is a nice actionadventure that's fun,

As a story, Ewing's Ultron Forever earns about, stars. Unfortunately, this is yet another Marvel volume that's padded out with irrelevant junk, Sure, the three stories wasting space at the end of this volume highlight the time periods that three of the Avengers come from, . . but I had no interest in reading them as oneoffs, and I suspect that's true for most readers, I'd have much rather paid just a couple of dollars less for just the Ultron Forever story, and not have a largerthannecessary graphic novel wasting space on my shelf.
I wish Marvel would get it together they've been doing this for several years now, and I can't believe people are thanking them for it, And that's why I choseinstead of, Rating is for the main story, not the reprint backup stories, Muerte convoca a vengadores de diferentes épocas temporales para derrocar a Ultron, Me ha gustado la trama y la relación entre los vengadores, muchos sin conocerse, y cada uno su estilo, El dibujo está muy bien I liked this, partly for the nostalgia of the characters from earlier timelines, I was reading Thor at the time that he was brittleboned, and when he was turned into a frog, I agree with another reviewer that the style in this century of numbering the comic books by repeatedly starting withis annoying, It's very confusing for me, But there are still good stories in the presentday, and I'm sure there will be good stories in the future, Some parts of the plot resolved far too quickly, but the main story is still enjoyable and I love Alan Davis' art as usual, The selection of Avengers from different points in history is fun, and this edition also features an issue each involving that iteration of those past versions of Avengers: the Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor.
It's not really a four star book, The all Alan Davis art for the main story gets the extra star, It's a bit rushed. Only aissue story so it's a bit on the simple side, But it does work a bit as an epilogue to AVENGERS A, I. series that I adored to death, It is a bit like AVENGERS FOREVER with Avengers plucked

from different times to battle Ultron of the future by the hero Dr, Doom! Kind of a shame it wasn't done up with more complex story telling in aissue run, Could have been much meatier and better, But it's a nice short decent read as is, And Alan Davis is always a treat, The only thing left after the comic book nuclear apocalypse will be cockroaches, Wonder Bread and that bastard, Ultron,

Ewing uses.of Aristotles Poetics “The future is gonna suck, so lets take heroes out of different points of the time line and send them back to the future to kick clanky robot butt.
” The last time I read anything with this plot thread it was sitelinkCaptain America Corps and it sucked mightily,

So how does Mr, Ewing do

This standalone story was probably a gateway for fans of the second Avengers movie with just enough added Easter eggs to keep the fanboys engaged.

So tell me Scotty, who are we teleporting in

From the present, the Black Widow for her stealth skills and the Vison, by accident.

Two Thors Lady Thor and the one who was cursed by Hela and had to wear armor to protect his brittle geriatric bones,

Captain America from the future, the kickass daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones,

The James Rhodes Iron Man because a drunken Tony Stark kept vomiting in the suit and short circuiting the armor,

A Hulk with chest hair from thes, who was dosing himself with gamma radiation in an attempt to control the transformations, but it just made him talk like Ben Grimm/The Thing straight outta Compton Yancey Street.

And whos responsible for bringing them all together

Dr, Doom! Who plays the kid card in order to ward off a massive beat down,

This book is oldschool fun and Ewing tweaks the plot, giving clever reasons for picking these particular heroes, and gives the Avengers readers, old and new, motivation for turning the pages.

Three and a half rounded up,

Bottom Line: Does anybody check the text thats written on the covers of these books This volume includes older reprints from the Hulk, Iron Man and Thor, all tying into the current storyline, which is a lovely bonus.
The cover has all three dating from! You were close with the Hulk, that one was first published in, so kudos for that, The other two are decades off,

The Trish/Skottie Young lovefest continues:

Not a bad avengers romp, This collection had a very classic Marvel feel to it, The story was simple to follow, Basically Doctor doom pulls several time era Avengers into a future where Ultron reigns supreme, Its Ultron so yeas the Avengers are going to stop him no matter what era they find themselves in the battle, New school Marvel readers may find this tale cheesy at times but I found it very fun, There is no reinventing the wheel here just plain superhero action, .
