Vannas Afghans A to Z: 52 Crochet Favorites Reviews

This is a beautiful book full of 52 crochet patterns for afghans created by talented artist Vanna White. This book is full of afghan patterns covering everything from A-Z, just like the title states. Any possible pattern you can think of is included in this book. This book is quite an inspiration just looking through it. Such beautiful photos of completed afghans, with the patterns for them included. This book contains all directions for every afghan shown. The patterns are written in a good, concise way, very easy to understand. So far any of the patterns I have tried from this book are all correct with no errors. This is a very nice book to keep in your library for inspiration in the future. You may want to come back to this book to choose another afghan to crochet in the future. This is one of my favorite crochet and pattern books.

I feel a bit bad for giving this a low rating. It's an old(ish) book of crochet patterns ... how life-changing was it going to be? In the end, though, there was only 1 pattern that was worth making (the baby blanket with the hearts in it). I found everything else to be cheesy, plain, outdated, etc.

BUT, I will say this ... the instructions in the back are very helpful.

An excellent book with terrific patterns. I've already made two or three. Very easy to read directions, beautiful pictures and well written. Vanna has chosen some beautiful patterns here that are NOT your grandma's crochet!
