Gain Access The Nursery Rhyme Murders (Beldon Magna Mysteries, #2) Penned By Anthony Litton Compiled As Softcover

the local good doctor is found murdered with a child mask on in Beldon Magna, the police start investigating.
When the local nurse is also found murdered with a child mask on recalling a nursery rhyme the police start thinking that there is a serial killer in the village.
In the meantime, play producers Desmond Appleby and his partner Gwilym left London and moved back to Beldon Magna where they are helping Desmonds mother organizing the village party with the surprising participation of their actor friend.
In a surprising twist of events the two producers unmask the killer and try to stop him before more people are killed.

I liked this book very much, Its very engaging and intriguing, There seems to be two different plots: the murders and the normal life that two famous London producers are trying to lead in a typical English small village.
But in the middle of the narration the two plot intertwine and the two producers are drawn into the investigation.
The solution of the murders was unexpected and kept me reading until the end, Awful book I didn't finish it as hated all the characters far too cheesey Its was okay I couldnt get in to it.
I guess because it was more in the line of famous or high society people thru out the book.
After reading the last page or so it explained the murders, Which also showed that high society people tend to hide their dirt the same as other people.
AWFUL

I can't remember I've ever come across such jaded characters and badly writen dialogues A brilliant book with great characters, I read a lot of crime books, some you are on the outside looking in, but this one your in there with them, it is so descriptive i could see the village and the gardens in my minds eye, and being a gardener I knew the plants that were mentioned, reading so much I can usually guess who's committed the crime, but not with this book it kept me guessing which was great, a thoroughly good read.
This book is a quick read which starts slowly, but catches the interest as the characters become better known.
I really like Desmond and Gwilym who are goodhearted, generous and clever, The two detectives are fairly likable although I prefer Calderwood to his sergeant, When Allan Rutherford is found, fallen, his head cracked open, Beldon Magna is devastated,

More unsettling still, a childs mask had been left over his face, a wide smile upon it.

DI Calderwood and DS Bulmer, leading the investigation, are as unnerved as the locals,

Before they can solve it, another body is found like the doctors, it is staged in a gruesome parody of a nursery rhyme, upon a tuffet and riddled with spiders.

One thing is clear: one of Beldon Magnas own residents is responsible,

The hunt is on

As the village tries to go about normal life, idle gossip reveals that there are plenty secrets people are trying to hide.

Desmond Appleby and his partner Gwilym, end up the inadvertent sleuths once more, and may be able to give the police the break they need.

Will they

be able to convince the police of their theory before the killer strike again

Or will more people fall victim to the Nursery Rhyme Murders
