will be reading the light novel soon My thoughts on the Fourth volume of the light novel of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken by Fuze and Mitz Vah.
more than half of this volume was cut from the manga and anime
The story: The story continues developing the political landscape the protagonist is now part of, also how he gets acquaintanced with the leader of the free guild and for most of the book he takes the role of teacher as a last favor to a longgone friend
Enjoyment:
This volume was filled with what makes me love this series, town/country development, political insight, adventure and worldbuilding sadly this was cut from the manga/Anime also the part when he becomes a teacher was one of the best bits of story so far
Final verdict:
This volume was one of the most enjoyable so far, pretty laid back but also very serious at times, there were some darker themes explored and the cliffhanger at the end really left me wishing for more/Bookisn't as good as the previous volumes as it was mainly setting up for future events.
Fuse introduced some more characters but didn't utilize them a whole lot in this one, as I said this mainly felt like set up, There wasn't nearly as much action this time around either,
However the premise is still entertaining and I love the world and it's characters, Excellent world building. My only real gripe is Rimiru is still over powered and is almost god like though towards the end of this volume it seams like he is finally coming in contact with some situations he won't just breeze through.
I eagerly look forward to future volumes, And now that I have finished volumeI think I can watch the anime and not be too concerned with novel spoilers, Finally caught up with the anime 魔物の主スライムのリムルは

Theth volume of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime covers episodesof the anime, Episodedealt with a side story not featured as part of Volumes main plot, This is the point where we start to see some disconnect from the books, The anime skipped over a fair amount of material from Volume, Some of these events were watered down in the anime and get summarized quickly, Others are skipped over entirely, removing subplots from the story, Overall, about half of Volumewas cut from the TV show,
The first part of this book deals with the aftermath following the big battle at the end of Volume, As the Jura Tempest Federation continues to grow, Rimurus life becomes more political, At the beginning of all this, he was just some guy, Now he is the ruler of a country with thousands looking to him for leadership, A little selfreflection on this fact makes Rimuru realize the full implications of his new position and he starts to make additional arrangements to ensure the Federation will be a lasting thing.
At the same time, his own desires and a promise to an old friend also start to influence his choices,
Compared to the first three books, the stakes are not high here, There are stakes, but not on the level of Rimuru and co, being wiped out if they fail, In this book, their lives are more everyday or as close as possible for them instead of being thrust into another massive battle, The story here also expands on Shizus backstory and what Rimurus promise to her ultimately means, Getting extra development for a character whose personal story is already wrapped up is rare, but the way FUSE does it works well,
One annoying thing about Volumeis the cliffhanger, The book ends on a high note, but its still singing once you reach the last page, But overall, this was a solid volume in the series, Not having any major events happen let FUSE spend more time worldbuilding instead, The cliffhanger does show that Rimuru will be back in the action during the next book, This cliffhanger is another piece of content cut from the anime though they do foreshadow it, Presumably, seasonwill start with it, With a new season of the show confirmed, heres to hoping the anime continues to adapt these books well, Awesomeeee aber der cliff hanger killt mich x, x warum dauert es noch so lange bis band:: The development has gotten out of hand, After a semi satisfying battle, and his evolution followed by a romantic description of how each individual in his city obtained multiple overpowered skills, I can't help but think that as satisfying as it was it will never come into use.
First of all, Orcs Goblins turning into Ogres K, but even if they get all these skills doesn't the barrier simply cancel out all magic This power system has NO RULES, the readers can't tell if a skill is advanced rank, or god rank, or whether it's a class skill of demons or if even cockroaches can use it.
There are less thanskills in Mushoku Tensei, but when it is more organized and there is clear reasonable progression it feels more fulfilling compared to the feeling of getting bullshitted.
Because clearly NONE of them EARNED this power, Me divirtió, y va sembrando semillas para
más adelante, Pretty dull and off theme, most of the book is how he deals with class of elementary school students, Schoooool! This series is too awesome,
Slime as a hero, who has an awesome and pleasant not selfish personality is refreshing, I know sometimes having that much power without some selfishness kinda looks foolish, but that was what I love about this series, All the characters are very nice even though they have a less presence,
Definitely will continue to read this series further! Plot develops, Characters gets boost, More villains, More fights, YaY. Pretty solid entry in the series and the last one covered by the anime, Really looking forward to the next one! A bit slow and largely setting the groundwork for the next book I suppose, Rimuru finally gets to take a working vacation in the human lands, That's after receiving a dream from Shizu,
it's not all fun and games because humans are not as straight forward as monsters when it comes with negotiations,
But he ends up meeting others similar to him as well as an enemy ready to destroy him,
Such is the life of a slime,
This book had lots of different adventures in it including the continuing Shizu arc, There were plenty of new characters as well as revisiting old ones,
Other than a few places where the dialogue confused me as to who was talking, it was an excellent book, Muy interesantes las aventuras de esta light novel, Acción, entretenimiento y personajes imaginativos, no se le puede pedir más a una light novel,
.The backtracking and explanations can be a awkward, but I do feel like more of the story is fleshed out in the light novel compared to the manga.
Nice
words or more are required for this review, I just want to say I enjoyed it, That is all. A mild disappointment for me the action is slow and the plot only takes off at around page, The other light novels in the series spoiled me I guess, This is it. Four novels in, and I'm finally up to the point where I don't know what happens next, There are some admirable differences in the light novel compared to the anime that I really enjoyed seeing, mainly the large chunk of the ending that I'll not spoil.
Now I eagerly await to get my hands on the fifth one, so I can dive into Slime now without knowing what's going to happen! After dealing with the ambassadors from demon lords and a state visit to the lands of the dwarves, Rimuru sets of for the human lands.
He has some unfinished business inherited from Shizue: saving a group of summoned children fated to die due to a magical overload the result of the summoning process.
The story is more focused on Rimuru then volumeand as a result for me a more entertaining read, Otherwise no surprises. The cliff hanger ending makes me happy I bought the book long after the availability of the translation of volume,
