on Her Sisters Baby

Lovely book I liked it but it was very very slow,., angsty throughbut the lastwas very good, Allowances must be made for the time period it was written, stars!!! This wasn't one of the books by this author that I enjoyed that much maybe because the romance was something that didn't come into play at all for me.

I for some reason even understood it after all the heroine agreed to be a surrogate for her sister and then she died and she is left with making some decisions and she doesn't know her sister's husband well, he is a very private person so she isn't sure she wants to give him the baby while he wants the baby so for most of the book they have this hanging between as well as dealing with the grief of losing a loved one.

The hero is someone we never got to know much I felt, he loved his wife but he wasn't sure she did, since it seemed she only wanted a baby amp then she is gone and he wants to be a father.
Their solution is to get married, which comes on very late in the book,

Even after that he never feels a part of the family maybe because the heroine undermines him and she examines the reasons for that as well since she grew up without a father and a mother who kept saying that they didn't need a man, and she and her kids were fine with that since her exhusband wasn't a big presence in the kids lives.

Her self examination comes too late amp somehow I didn't connect with the book amp characters, Found in Harlequin's sitelinkSweet Memories rerelease, This is my first time reading this author, it was afordeal paperback I picked up at the grocery store, Remind me not to do that again, Can't say I was impressed, This is apage book that should have been apage book if themain characters had communicated just a little bit, I am a sucker

for this type of book, There is a Sarah Mayberry book along this same theme which I loved called "Within Reach" and one called "Sarah's child" by Linda Howard which was harder to love due to a stinky H.

This book dragged though, I love a slow burn but there needs to be more heat to fan the low flames, I will try another by this author! really sweet one, . n realistic as well. it showed u clearly how a relationship took timegrow, . though the attraction was there and intense from the start, the book lostalong the way as there were parts which were slow or somewhat boring, also i wud have liked more sex n described in more details Part of the Bestselling Authors in the Spotlight promotion, this novel carries a special low price! Colleen will do anything for her sister Sheila, including having her baby.
Sheila's husband, Michael, wants a baby, too, When Colleen offers to be a surrogate for his wife, he's deeply grateful, Then an accident takes Sheila's life, and Colleen and Michael turn to each other in their sorrow only to discover an unacknowledged attraction, read for this book This trope is my jam, With a slow burn like only JKJ can do, I reread His Best Friends Baby a couple times a year, but this might replace it, A Colleen Deering
She'll do anything for her sister, Sheila, And if her gift takes up nine months of her life and entails morning sickness and stretch marks, well, what are sisters for Because what Sheila wants more than anything in this world is a baby.

Michael Delaney
Handsome and reserved, he's Colleen's brotherinlaw, Sheila's husband. He, too, wants a baby with all his heart, And when Colleen offers to be a surrogate for his wife, he's deeply grateful for this gift of love,

Colleen and Michael turn to each other in their sorrow after an accident takes Sheila's life, only to discover an unacknowledged attraction a dangerous attraction.
Dangerous, because they both want Sheila's child, . . This book was surprising. It's not your usual Harlequin romance, The situations are different but current, There is real growth among the characters, I did find the narrative a bit slow at times and that is why I gave it two, Sweet love story, loved it very much and would have loved if there was more of it, Very realistic and mature storyline and characters, Hero sweet, kind, but shy in expressing his emotions and the heroine kind and generous, Loved It/

This was an amazing book for its reputations, Usually these harlequin based short novels don't give me that spark of anticipation or pleasure but this just passed it, This review will be short and sweet because that's what it was, although I was very happy that this novel was longer than most of theirs.

This was a sweet story about falling for your dead sisters husband, This was easily relatable and I loved how the characters weren't clueless, their minds worked just like everyone else's, There was no "oh my god how can you be so stupid" moments like there usually are in these types of books, The characters level headed and intelligent, if not observant, It had a unique story line and ploy, something i have surprisingly never read about before, not just the surrogacy but the fact that Colleen was already a mom made the story more compelling.
