I liked where Ashton Blackthorne is going with his story. It had all the components that I like in a romance.
It is a hot read. Most people will love this story. For me it was pretty sexy. Would have liked to see more character development. Unfortunately, when books are short like this, they have to move fast to get to the meat of the the story. -
Shattered, Ashton Blackthorne's second book in the Insatiable Series, exceeded my expectations. The scene with Veronica squatting above the mirror was so totally hot...The undeniably sexy Mr Blackthorne learns to admit his love for Veronica, only to be betrayed once again by a significant female in his life. To learn the reasons behind the inception of Blackthorne International, and the Wicked Pen Writers is insightful and intriguing. I cannot wait to read the next instalment of this series.

"Shattered” by Ashton Blackthorne is the second of the 'bad boy romance' series that follows life through his eyes. This book picks up at the point where Ashton has reconnected with 'Veronica', who has driven him to distraction in the past, and is associated with thwarting his goal of a hostile takeover of a company. He is rocked by the revelation.
I didn't like this series despite the fact I really tried. Several factors contributed to this failure: minimal BDSM content, a smug, self indulgent protagonist and stilted plot lines. Scenes in this book felt repetitious. To be fair, I read it during my hospitalization when I was sick and anxious, so perhaps my expectations were excessive. On the plus side, this book is short, easily read and doesn't have any major editorial issues.
This book claims BDSM themes and maybe some dubious consent that could disturb sensitive readers.

SHATTERED.....a superb and sexy read....
The second book in Ashton Blackthorne's Insatiable trilogy, SHATTERED is just as good, if not better than the first. This one delves deeper into the mystery behnd the man.
Picking up where Book One concluded, Ash comes face to face with Veronica, the woman he desires the most, but can never love. Or is that just a fallacy? Delving into the background of Ash's relationship with Veronica, is what this book mainly deals with. It gave me a greater understanding of why Mr Blackthorne is unable to have a real reltionship with a woman - simply because the one he loved (even though he was afraid to admit to that actual emotion) he let get away.
I loved this book mainly because we were privileged enough to witness a more dominant Ash - both in the bedroom and in his business dealings. Dominant Ash is the perfect alpha male, strong, ruthless, forceful and extremely commanding, no matter what the situation is. This man is the epitome of sexiness.
The ending surprised me though - a man betrayed once, will NEVER allow for it to happen again. I look forward to thhe third book - BOUND TO HIM. It will be interesting to see what is in store for the reader next.

Oh, Hell! I Did Not Expect That!
Can a "Broken" man overcome his past and find his way to love and trust without being "Shattered?"
Here is an incredible tale of an alpha bad boy, climbing the ladder of excess and success! He has it all, just name it. Except he isn't willing or able to commit himself in a relationship. There are very specific reasons, outlined in the first book in this series, Broken. He finds himself faced with the only person he has ever had a long term relationship with, and goes through an obstacle course of self reflection and evaluation that is steaming hot and as sensual as ever.
Along the road we are privy to the bumps and turbulence experienced in his professional life.
All of this culminates in the chronicles that Ashton Blackthorne hails his autobiography.

My heart goes out to Ash as I continued to read his life story. Shattered is a continuance of his first book Broken.
How the boy grew to be a man without wanting to know or feel love. But there is always one woman that was in his heart he just didn’t want to acknowledge her or it as love. Until the day he finally let it all out and she too betrayed him just like his mother did so many years ago.
I’m not for sure where his life story goes from here since that is where he leaves us hanging, but I hope he can pick up his heart and spirit and go to the one woman I think will never betray him. I do know that now I can’t wait for the next installment of his life story.
I also want to thank him for this refreshing book. There are a lot of books out there with a dark alpha male that gets his girl in the end and it’s the same plot over and over. But these books are different, I know it’s his story doesn’t or hasn’t gotten the right girl yet. -
If you loved Broken you will definitely love this! Shattered lets us see deeper into Ash's emotions on his journey of learning to love and trust again.
Veronica coming back into his life is a huge part of that. After a night at his club in Vegas he begins to realize the true meaning of his feelings for her. They delve a little bit further into their sexual desires learning more of what they both find beyond pleasurable. Everything seems to be falling into place first with the deal Ash was working on then with the only woman Ash has ever truly cared for. Just when it seems he may get his happy ever after something happens that shatters him to the core yet again.

Wow
Following the return of Veronica and spending the night with her Ashton gets the shares that he wanted, to celebrate the deal Ashton decides to go to Vegas to checkout his strip club. The scene is set hot women and plenty of them all ready to see to Ashton's needs, just as things are about to get dirty he recieves a text from Veronica and following that he can not think of anyone else is he in love? Back home Ashton is feeling great and has a new business idea not giving any spoiler here. Again this gives an insight into the world of the man who is Ashton Blackthorne and it is another steamy read cannot wait for book 3. -
Shattered is the second book in the Insatiable series. Mr. Blackthorne is sexy and the sex scenes are steamy. Veronica is Ash's ex-girlfriend from college years. She's back and has shares in a company Ash wants. She sells them to him after hearing about his mother leaving him at a young age and how that affected him.
Ash realizes that he loves Veronica and they have some steamy times. Once again Ash was let down by a woman he loved. Veronica is engaged.
This is a must read!!!! I left blanks for you to fill in. Enjoy! -
This is book 2 in the series and it picks right up where book 1 left off. Another awesome read by Ashton that I could not stop reading once I started. The more I read, the more I fall in love with Ash and can't wait to see what will happen in book #3. Steamy, sexy, beautiful story with a cliffhanger.

Phew.. such an emotional ride ... i feel shattered... literally... Ashton and Ronnie are fab characters... the emotional roller coaster ride with them is exhausting. The scenes are hot.. very hot but things are as they seem. Cant wait for the next installment. Hate cliff hangers but the author leaves u wanting more... excellent writing. Well done Mrs Blackthorne, I want a lot more, a lot more.

I am enjoying reading about Mr. Blackthorne. He is a man who enjoys his lifestyle and his accomplishments. The one thing he has avoided is commitment. Book 2 explains more of his story and opens a new door. Well written and fast flowing. -
Shattered is the second book in this series. This is a hot, sexy and quick story continues with Ashton's inability to love. As with the first book, this also ends with a cliffhanger. Love the series!

As the second book in the trilogy picks up, readers assume that things will start looking up for the elusive, bad-boy Alpha, Ashton Blackthorne. Really? It's never that easy and as a reader, it would be boring if it was.
Pieces of the puzzle start unfolding, but the twists are ever-present. Will Ashton find his inner peace? Will the walls that he's put up come tumbling down now that he's tasted "love"?
Ashton Blackthorne's penmanship is pleasing to the eye and to the soul.
Shattered had me feeling certain emotions which I keep tapped down and that alone was a pleasing surprise. Usually I don't feel pity for a strong male character, but I felt it.
Looking forward to the 3rd installment of this trilogy. -

The story started similar as the first book. Revealing more of the person and his history. Combined with hot scenes that left you breathless.
What was different in this book?
It had a feeling that was new. I felt it inside. Not just a successful man that gets what he want, anyway he can.
I can't wait for the next book to see what is new there. -
Book one was emotionally powerful,but book two is breathlessly compelling in it's self reflection and assessment, that is inferno hot and as erotically sensual as ever. Thank you for a refreshing and engaging read.

Ashton Blackthorne definitely delivered with the second book of the "Insatiable Series" with a hot and steamy storyline with characters that draws you into their story and has you pulling for them until the very last page! I definitely want to see more from this series and author, I have definitely added Ashton Blackthorne to my list of must read authors.

I give Shattered by Ashton Blackthorne five stars. This is book two of the Insatiable trilogy and was the second book of Ashton’s that I have read. If you love bad boys, alpha men, guys in business suits and dark romance this book is for you! This book cannot be read as a standalone you need to read Broken first! Ashton Blackthorne is a ruthless business man, unstoppable when he puts his mind to something, and is very sexy. After his mother left him when he was a child Ashton became cold, hard and broken in to pieces. He would never allow himself to feel and this caused him to lose the woman that meant the most to him. Ashton has decided to open his world up when she walks back into his life but will she fall at his feet? You have to read the book to find out! There was no violence in this book and there was some sexual content. I went through a wide range of feelings reading this book, in parts my heart broke for Ashton, in other parts the scenes are so hot that I had to walk away to cool down, and in other parts you can feel joy he is feeling. I feel the author has a great written style and I highly recommend it! This book was a quick read and I had a hard time putting it down. -
I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s always interesting to hear how a man feels when he falls in love for the first time. The main character in this book was a womanizer who broke many hearts along the way until he met his match with Veronica. I loved how the main character struggled with his feelings. At one point he asks himself, “Maybe this is what love felt like, a gnawing pain in my gut like I was going to be sick—was this love? Ha. Love it.
In a second plot line, he decides a leave the Wall Street investment firm and start his own business as a book publisher of indie erotic romance writers. He creates a name for them—the Wicked Pen Writers. I look forward to hearing about how this story evolves in the third edition of this trilogy, which is told from Veronica’s point of view. Oh, yes: and one final thing: the sex was really hot in this book! -
Ok, so I’m on the fence with this one. On one hand I loved it but it was a bit short. It is a trilogy which only books one and two are published, but each is less than 100 pages. Book 3 is scheduled for publication in March 2017 so hopefully we get the end of the story then.
So Ash is a powerful business man, but he is haunted by the events of his childhood. I actually wanted him and Amber to get together, but instead his ex-girlfriend suddenly shows up to cause havoc. That being said it was a twisted read and had some fantastic scenes.
Since this appears to be a new author, I wasn’t sure what to expect. There were some good moments, but it didn’t seem to have much substance. It suffered from middle book syndrome….not to much happened. I did like Ash enough to want to read more from the series.
One major flaw is the beginning the author states it is a HFN with no cheating and I beg to differ on that one….there was no HFN when it ends in a screaming match and when someone is engaged to one person and sleeps with another, I consider that cheating…..not sure what the authors standards are, but those are pretty clear cut in my book.

Shattered (Insatiable Book 2) by Ashton Blackthorne
Not sure what I can say about this second installment in the insatiable series. Like book 1 this is a quick read that had this reader eager to get started. The title is fitting for this book and as I got to the end it was hard to read with a whirlwind of emotions that this read wasn’t prepared for.
This installment picks up where book 1 leaves off with Ash meeting with Veronica on the sale of the Vitalife shares.
As I traveled through these pages I have to tell you that I was surprised to see the chemistry between Ash and Veronica. I thoroughly enjoyed watching these two reconnect and watch Ash change into a man we would all want. He is powerful and commanding in his business dealings and in the bedroom. Who wouldn’t want to be tied up by Ash?
I don’t want to go any further in my review because by the time I got to the end of this book I was ready to throttle Veronica and was shaking my head as to why? It has been a while since I had such dislike for a character.
So far, the Ashton has painted a fantasy for this reader that had me on edge and fanning myself the entire time. As this book ended however, I found myself completely depressed and left me with more questions that are going unanswered. I have enjoyed this series so far and I can only hope the ache I feel for Ash gets fixed. -

Ashton is clearly broken from early stages of his childhood from catching his mother cheating on his father with his* uncle mike*...
Not fully being able to put his trust into a woman from his experience is heart breaking..In this book #2 of the insatiable series. He is reconnected with Veronica( a former lover in which they split because of his unwillingness to be able to have a committed relationship) when he was supposed to be meeting with her father about a business deal on buying back some shares for vitalife..From there he started having un explained feelings that he had never had before..
Whew though the Scene with Veronica and the mirror?! OMG 😲 talk about HAWT!!!!
Anyways it goes on with story and I will give too much away but betrayal is at play and my mouth completely dropped!!!!!! Shame on Veronica!!!!! Completely Shattering!!! On to Bound To Him because it ends on Ashtons signature cliffhanger!

Without skipping a beat, “Shattered” takes off where “Broken” ended. Though “Shattered” is quick paced, it doesn’t leave the reader feeling like something could have been expanded on further.
The fiery, physical connection between Ashton and Veronica sets the pages ablaze! The intimate scenes are scorching and the author's ability to create descriptive sex scenes makes the reader want more of them.
Ashton Blackthorne is charismatic, fascinating and you can’t help but root for him and when he gets burned, you feel it too. He's very passionate about any endeavor he pursues and does nothing half assed.
I’m looking forward to the third installment of Ashton Blackthorne’s Insatiable Series to see how his character reacts to some situations that are on his plate.
