My life has never been my own. I've always been a rule follower—the obedient girl who always did what she was told. I played the part given to me and got engaged to the man my parents set me up with. He was supposed to be my Prince Charming. He promised me a happily ever after, only he delivered a nightmare instead. Now I'm on the run. No money. No plan. Just freedom. How ironic is it that my desperate escape lands me in a place called Hope Town? I lost hope a long time ago.
Beau Rivers Lair
I'm a manwhore. It's a known fact and exactly how I like it. I make my own rules and live without expectations. Returning to Hope Town to help the woman who raised me with her restaurant meant my past was here to greet me, but I refuse to allow the mirage of possibilities to engulf me a second time around. I don't believe in love or fairy-tale endings. There's lust, and there's screwing. I don't have time for anyone or anything outside of these two principles. There is no hope for me. Accept it or not... you've been warned!

2.5 RATING - I know I'm in the minority here and maybe from a quality of writing standpoint this book deserves at least a 3.0 but I just didn't really like it.
Both the heroine and hero come across as trashy and I don't think that was the characterization the author was going for. The heroine makes an escape from her abusive fiancé and chooses to leave in daisy duke shorts and a tank top with no bra - not a good choice if your surgically enhanced like she is. It's actually several chapters into the book until she finally secures a bra and only at the suggestion of her new employer. IDK, I'm not a prude or anything but her behavior seemed more consistent with a club girl than an innocent girl on the run. I also thought some of the things that came out of the hero's mouth seemed lame. I'm not even going to take the time to give examples. I think the author was going for hot but missed the mark definitely with me. Finally, I know it's hard to sell a story sometimes in a novella length book but I just didn't buy the relationship between these two. He still seemed like a playboy to me. It probably didn't help that I read this book directly after finishing JB Salisbury's Hope Town Kindle World book and it was a much more solid read at least for me. -
2 stars. This book was just not good for me. This is Beau and Bleu's story. (Matchy-matchy enough for you?) Bleu is on the run from an abusive relationship. She is hitchhiking when she is picked up by Beau. He is on his way to Hopetown to visit his mom. He can see Bleu is on the run and needs help. So he takes her with him to his mother's and gets her a job at the family restaurant. Beau fights his attraction to Bleu, but still she wants him bad. Her ex finds her and Beau saves her. They realize they are in love and it all works out in the end.
I didn't think the writing was very good. The writing was in 1st person present, which is not my favorite. This book is supposed to take place in Hopetown, but I didn't recognize anything or get a Hopetown feel from it. Also, the things the characters say and do don't make any sense. They were shallow, flat and dumb. I didn't really like either Beau or Bleu. Beau was a non-repentant manwhore. He even seems like a ex-addict maybe. He can't go without a woman for even a day and seems to have no control over himself. It was a huge turn-off.
"Aftershocks rock through me, yet I'm not sated. I know I won't be until I have the real thing. Fuck. I need to find some pussy and quick. Bleu obviously has shot she's dealing with, and doesn't need me as a complication. I fuck, and I move on. Last time I was in this town, my manwhore ways spread quickly. I had a different woman in my bed every night. I was told I was a dick quite a few times, and I don't dispute that fact. My reputation this time proceeds me so I've been lying low. I've been too busy helping my mother to even bother. Regardless, I'm not going to change who I am for a piece of ass. I'll just have to find a woman who knows what I'm about and still wants to fuck. My contact list hasn't failed me yet." - 34%
Lovely, right?
On the other hand, Bleu was supposed to be on the run from her abusive boyfriend. But she didn't act like a battered woman. She wasn't really scared and never thought about her ex finding her. As she's hitchhiking and meets Beau, she immediately drools over and insta-lusts over him. I didn't find that believable as a woman on the run. She was in love with him almost from the beginning, despite that she didn't really know him and that he was a jerk.
Overall, I just really did not enjoy this book at all. The only good thing about it was the the story was interesting and potential, but it did not follow through. This was my first time reading anything by S. R. Watson and I am sorry to say it will probably be my last.

Fans of the Corps Security and Hope Town series by Harper Sloan will just love this spin off twist. Hope Town, Georgia holds meaning for a lot of different people. What happens when those folks cross paths with all our favorite alpha males and the even stronger women supporting them? Readers get a real treat! These could be read as stand alone novellas in their own right. But what a lovely tribute to the Hope Town gang to have these authors not only introduce us to new characters, but to have them interact with characters we are already so familiar with. Really well done by all the authors. Great little surprise reads!
Deliverance
This one probably has the least interaction with the Corps Security/Hope Town characters. It doesn't lessen the story. Tragic events have landed Bleu in Hope Town. No money, no phone, no trust. Yet she seems drawn to Beau. He helps her get set up working in his family's restaurant. The trouble she ran from finds her. Those events force Beau to search in his heart to find that he loves Bleu and will do anything to protect her. This is a new to me author but I enjoyed the writing and wanted to read more about Beau's family. -
Another new author for me to fall in love with and what a great way to introduce me to them, then by visiting Harper Sloan's Hope Town and being reunited with some old favourites.
I loved the style of writing in this book! devoured it in an afternoon. A brilliantly written fast paced short story with characters that I loved. The chemistry and insta-attraction between Bleu and Beau was great to watch. So beautifully, like destiny was finally giving Bleu a HEA after what she had been through and what better place to find that then in Hope Town.
I am now going to check out SR Watson's backlist of books as I have really enjoyed her style of writing.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Inkslinger PR

3.5 stars
While I liked it, it didn't deliver as much "hope" as the previous Hope Town novella I had read. I kind of expected Beau to use Corps Security to look for the ex once he had the details, but they really weren't involved with this couple. As for the couple... I struggle with names and having Beau and Bleu as the main characters names were slightly distracting for me...too similar. As for the characters, I didn't think much of either of them - the standard manwhore and she came off as a ditz.
What I did enjoy was his "mom" and the points he earned when we found out what had happened (or didn't) during the week.
Overall it was a well written story, I just didn't connect as much as I thought I would. -
5 star
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, suspense, abuse, and heartbreak.
This is Bleu and Beau’s story. After one more hit from her fiancé Bleu flees and hitches a ride. When the driver gets creepy she runs again. When Beau comes up on her he offers her peace of mind and a ride. When he glimpses her pain, he wants to help out but he’s also attracted to her. He can’t have her and help her, also can he? As they share secrets he leaves out big ones that come out later. Can she forgive him for thinking they were both sharing? Or will it make her run again? With the danger that she has after her is it even safe for her to run?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

Hope Town, GA provides the perfect scene for when two souls come together, searching, seeking out ways to ground each other in ways both yearn for. S.R. Watson's Deliverance was an enticing, passionate novel to divulge in. I loved every minute of this book, but I knew that when I opened it.
The quality of writing that comes with her novels is astounding and downright capturing. I was able to get my hands on this copy and I jumped for joy! Her descriptive characters, scenes and plots are a joy to be immersed in and Deliverance is THAT book!
Bleu is set on finding a new life away from the stress of California. Running from the man whom she's supposed to love when she figures he's changed for the worse; she runs. Staying strong with a clear mind with enough money and a backpack, she doesn't expect to end up in Hope Town, GA, especially with a gracious, handsome, saving grave like Beau. He delivers her new promises, new freedoms even though that's not in his repertoire since he wants nothing to do with relationships of any sorts.
"Now I won't even try the relationship crap. It's a trap and a set up for failure. I f*ck and move on. There is no hope for me."
Just when Blue and Beau seem to mend their hearts and connect emotionally, a commotion arises which brings her past to the present. Can Bleu regain her strength to face her past with Beau? In then end, who saves who; when fate brings you together when you least expect it!
Bleu is a strong woman for what she endures. The decisions she's had to make to get away and for what she's had to leave behind. The courage and the tenacity really shows in Watson's character development which I loved. Beau is a sweetie, even though he is a player. I loved his inner monologue/POV, during times when he didn't want to be all caring.
Thank you S.R. Watson for bringing certain cameo friends from Corps Security into our presence. It was great to catch a glimpse of them, since we are still waiting patiently on the next installment of his book! -
4 Taking a Leap of Faith Stars!!
Oh how my heart broke for Bleu our heroine in this book set in Hope Town, GA, the town that literally gives her a second chance not only at love but life in general. This is where our Hero Beau comes into play. And trust me when I tell you he's the least likely hero you can imagine!
Their story was in a way a sweet love story for so many reasons. Bleu is a woman who's lived a terror filled life for the last few years and not necessarily at her own choice, which I found so painful. Until she finds the strength to make a new life and ends up in Hope Town and thankfully with Beau literally rescuing her both physically and emotionally. Here's the thing though, Beau is a man who loves sex and doesn't hide it. He's not looking for love or any permanence of a relationship.
Well, Bleu changes all that and these two find a love neither of them were looking for. Watching them fall in love even with the speed bumps put in their way and wow there were a few that's for sure. Ms. Watson does a great job of making me love this couple. It's a great story of recognizing your soul mate when you least expect to find them with a huge dose of heat that's literally combustible between them. We also get a brief visit by a couple of my favorites from the Corps Town series, which is the icing on the cake. -
5 Stars!
I'm slightly obsessed with Harper Sloan's world's, from Corps Security to Hope Town. I've been a fan of hers since her beginning and boy does she write with so much heart so when Harper announced her kindle world... I was ecstatic and then that author list was dropped and boom! My heart burst with so much happiness... I knew I had to devour all the words.
Now we are back in her world with our favorites and brand new characters. I knew it would be good...I knew it would be special..I just didn't expect...THIS.
In SR Watson's Deliverance, Bleu and Beau are going to find something neither knew they needed or expected. He definitely wasn't looking for forever and she was only looking for safety, to start over but one moment and one chance is going to change...everything for Bleu and Beau.
Powerful. Emotional. Sweet. Sexy. These two blasted onto my kindle and took my heart by storm. Their journey was riddled with complications and secrets but it was all worth it by the time those pages quit turning.
SR Watson is new to me but if this book is anything to show for her others then a new fan has been gained!
I highly recommend this book.

3.5 stars for - Deliverance - a Hope Town novella by S.R. Watson. This is the story of a woman on the run from her abusive partner ending up in Georgia when her common sense finally kicks in and she decides hitchhiking with creepy truckers is not the smartest thing for her to do. Walking down a dark and desolate road in the middle of the night isn't too bright either, but she doesn't have many options if she wants to make it to a place with lodging. So Bleu stars the miles long walk to the aptly named Hope Town when a handsome stranger offers her a ride.
Beau is back in Hope Town for the foreseeable future to help his mother with her new business venture. Beau is a notorious womanizer, yet he has never made any promises to the women in town and gave them only a night or two before he moved on to the next willing female. So when he sees a blonde bombshell walking in the dark he can't believe his eyes and falls all over himself to help her which is something he never does.
Bleu and Beau strike up an unlikely friendship that turns into more with the help of his mother and some of the series regular like Axel Reed. All around this was a good edition to the Hope Town world that had a bit of danger, lots of angst and plenty of love. I will read more from this author in the future. -
4 Stars
SR Watson delivers with a short, fast paced insta-love story about two people who aren’t looking for love, but it finds them on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere. Bleu has finally had enough of the abuse she’s been suffering at the hands of her fiance. On the run, she finds herself abandoned in the middle of nowhere when a sexy stranger offers to give her a ride to the next town appropriately named Hope Town. Beau is a notorious womanizer who has come back to Hope Town to help the woman who raised him with her new restaurant. Seeing the beautiful girl walking down the road, he stops and offers her a ride. Once there, he helps her find a place to stay, as well as a job, just until she decides to move on.
This is a great read and SR Watson does a fantastic job of weaving the two worlds together. We even get to see to Beau’s twin brother Silas (yes, TWINS!), along with Axel, Beck, and yes, even Sway! I’m not sure who saves who in this story, but one thing for sure is these two definitely find love.

Bleu Loren has always done what was expected of her, and followed the rules. She got engaged to the man her parents set her up with, and he was supposed to be her Prince Charming, but instead he became her worst nightmare. When things come to a head, she realizes that she needs to run, and that's when she lands in Hope Town. Beau Rivers Lair is a self proclaimed manwhore, and he makes no apologies for it. He's recently returned to Hope Town to help his mother with the business, and this is where he meets Bleu. He feels a strong attraction to her, but he refuses to entertain the possibility of love. Will these two broken souls heal together? S.R. Watson with her talented writing style delivered a very captivating story that I wished had been longer. But even with the short length, I found myself falling hard for the characters, even though Beau made me want to junk punch him once or twice. And with Bleu's past, I was on the edge of my seat. I really loved this story, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“Time has no say when it comes to matters of the heart.”
On the run from an abusive fiancé, Bleu Loren is trying to find a place to land. Hitchhiking on a dark road in Georgia probably isn’t her brightest idea. When Beau Lair gives her a ride and dinner at his mom’s restaurant, Bleu feels comforted. But then Beau’s mom offers her a job and a place to stay. Bleu is beyond blessed! Is Hope Town a stop on her way to permanent healing? Beau and Bleu have some major chemistry that could need further exploration.
This book definitely has some sexy times and is a great addition to the Corps Security in Hope Town Kindle World. Deliverance was an enjoyable, quick read. There’s a play list at the end, too! -
S.R. Watson is another new to me author. I wouldn't say new to me, I've heard of her before. But I just haven't had the chance to read her work beforehand.
This book was a quick and hot read.
Bleu is a young woman who is finally feed up with her fiance who is being abusive. So she takes off and happens to run into Beau. I didn't find Bleu to be weak at all, she was a strong character.
Beau, I have to admit to be a bit of a arsehole. But he did redeem himself by the end of the book.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion*** -
Bleu is learning that Beau has no tact, “bra store? Who says that? You know you have the tact of a bull in a china shop. At least your mom tried to tell me I needed to put the girls away in a nice way by suggesting I shop for some essentials.” Beau likes to make things special for his girl, “happy Birthday, baby.” He lights the candles and smiles. “Make no mistake. I’m going to give you the best birthday *** ever, but first make a wish. Your birthday can’t end with you not having a piece of cake.” I liked this book, loved the characters.
-
Bleu has finally had enough of the life she is currently living, she doesn't even recognize herself anymore. When she makes a break for it she never imagined getting picked up by a sexy stranger. She definitely didn't imagine falling for him.
Beau loves his new girl every night life, he sees no reason to change it. Then he picks up a woman that ends up changing his life in more than one way.
I literally read this in one day, it kept me wanting to know how they were going to get through everything that was standing in their way for them to find love. -
SR Watson is a brand new author for me - this was my first read, and I am now in love!
Blue was amazing! She is running from an abusive relationship, but she was not weak and I loved that!! Beau was a pretty big jerk in the beginning, but he more than proves himself worthy of Blue. This is a very fast paced story, but it wasn't rushed. I love how quickly they fell in love, but I also love that it wasn't really love at first sight. This is truly an amazing story! Five Stars! -
This one didn't click for me as much as the first one in the Corps Security Kindle Series. I felt like they had a connection, but love and the drive Beau had for her, was a little lacking for me. I think I may have needed this book to be a little bit longer for me to truly connect with these two. Still a good read, I liked the plot and the sex scenes were good...but I just didn't have that connection.
-
This was a fast paced short story. Bleu is in an abusive relationship after one final episode she finally leaves. She ends up meeting Beau in the town of Hope and things move quickly after that. It was an enjoyable fasted paced book. I loved the chemistry between Bleu and Beau. Honestly wished this book would have been a little longer but none the less it was a great book.

Deliverance
I am so happy that Blue got her happy ending after living through hell with Ethan. Beau is the perfect match for her. Together they light the world on fire with their chemistry. -
I want more!
This was my first S.R. Watson book and it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book, as I have been a fan of Harper Sloan’s Corps Security and Hope Town characters for a while, it was fun to go back there with new characters. -
Bleu sure has a lot of baggage. She is one strong woman. Beau is one complicated hot alpha man. He has issues. But when he sees what he never knew he wanted he goes after it. They complete each other.
-
Deliverance
Amazing story so sweet and romantic. Hope Town is exactly what it was a town you can find hope. Plus, tragically abuse on women is a daily thing and needs to be stopped. Loved this story SR Watson WTG -
Really greet book
