Grab Instantly The Vectum (Synergist #1) Drafted By Chloe Adler Published As Interactive EBook
book was one entertaining read that kept
my attention and I found the writing was excellent
characters well developed all round a fantastic read.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout, Amaya is a fiercely independent young woman has found herself out of a job and the rent to her family home suddenly spikes in her parents absence.
To avoid bothering her parents and maintaining her independence, she takes a job at the Vectum, Amaya is somewhat naive and innocent so she was not prepared for what the vectum offered, But she meets s mysterious vampire, Vasily who takes her by surprise by being her protector with a calm that comforts her but terrifies her
at the same time.
Vasily offers her a job at his estate but as naive as she is, shes slowly beginning to realize nothing is what it seems.
Amaya meets four warlocks who live on the estate with Vasily, She feels a strong attraction to Vasily but strangely enough, she slowly begins to feel the same about the four handsome warlocks.
Strange as it is though she feels compelled to explore those feelings but more so with Vasily.
The closer she gets to him though, the more questions she has and shes puzzled by the fact that these five men keep telling her shes special with special powers.
Its finally revealed that these sexy men are not of this world and Amaya may be a conduit to getting them back home.
The question is, where is home,
Through a series of unexplained events, some of which were quite frightening, Amaya is sold on the idea of another world and she agrees to help to get Vasily back to what is called the Fae world.
Shes taken on an unexpected adventure with mystery, danger and unexplained phenomena at every turn, Leaving the Fae world to return home also proves to be somewhat of a challenge and once she returns there are a million more unanswered questions and Vasily doesnt seem to be able to give her answer but her attraction grows stronger and boy does she explore.
Sexy, dangerous, mysterious, scary and just out of this world experiences leaves Amaya more confused and needing answers.
Will she find her answers and how will she navigate this strong attraction to these five sexy, hunky men
Another awesome story by Chloe Adler.
Different and Catching
Amaya's story is just getting started,
Getting fired by a rotten manager and then having no other choice but to work at the Vampire blood bank/whore house to make enough to cover rent.
Her first night goes from bad to worse, Dressing up in sleezy costumes, and almost taken advantage of she is lucky enough that someone comes to her rescue.
This story is different to the usual books I read, The first few pages are easy to connect with the character and get into the story line.
My five are perfect for this book, it won't disappoint, Can't wait for the next one,
This book is fairly short and can be read quiet quickly, it also helps that I found it hard to put the actual book down.
We get to meet some awesome characters, Amaya and Vasily are the two main characters but there are alsoother men who come into play.
Amaya and the rest of the characters take us on journey that is scary and dark, dangerous and with twists that will surprise us all.
I loved this book and cant wait to see if there will be more written, I loved the world that Chloe Adler has built for Chronicles of Tara, Amaya the MC is a little bit feisty, a little bit unsure of herself and somehow that ties together nicely to create this woman that is discovering herself and her world and that maybe neither is what she thinks they are.
I look forward to where this series goes next, Definitely not predictable! I have read everything produced about Distant Edge so far, So, simply by being about one of my favorite places, this had my attention, I love getting the opportunity to see Distant Edge from the human vantage point, Weve seen the Signum and now we get to see what life is like without a wealth of magical powers.
There are so many wonderful little hints about whats going on sprinkled throughout this book, But for every hint and answer thats uncovered, three more questions spring up to take its place.
We have answers, but there are still questions left unknown, so Im guessing that we will be revisiting Amaya, Vasily, the warlocks, Candy, Sabin, Jules, and all the rest again in the future.
I received a complimentary copy of this book,.Stars One of the best Fae worlds I've read since Karen Moning's fever series, The world had a whimsical, Alice in Wonderland vibe but was very original in the description of creatures and environment.
It's a five part serial read and I rapidly moved on to each installment, so the pacing was excellent.
I wish the rest of the story was available, but even though the story is left open ended there was no annoying cliffhanger but more of a HFN happily for now.
If an author can actually write there's really no need to torture a reader with a cliffhanger and Ms.
Adler can write. I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it,
Having recently read Distant Light by this author, I was excited to start this new series.
The Vectum is a decent start of this new series, but failed to fully suck me into the story.
The main reason for this is that it's really short, The story is only aboutchapters long and I read it in half an hour, There was enough going to make me curious to see how the story will continue, But I am not fully sure yet what to think of the series so far,
The Vectum is about Amaya who needs more money and quick, her last boss made sure no one will hire her and she ends up starting a job at the local vampire blood bank.
Vampires can go there to drink from willing humans or take them up to the private rooms for a little bit more privacy and extra service.
I thought the whole blood bank thing for vampires made sense, although the vibe of this one did feel a bit icky to me, but I think that's the point.
Amaya has an interesting encounter there and a bit of a scare,
I found it hard to really buy into the whole reason Amaya needs this job.
It just felt a bit off As the reason why she needs money is because her landlord upped the rent with a lot of money per month even tough her parents already paid her rent for a year.
And it is a lot of money extra per month, I guess I just don't get why she didn't take legal action as what her landlord was doing was obviously wrong.
And then she doesn't want to ask her parents for help as they are on a vacation, but this seemed solvable with a short phone call or online transaction, so I just didn't get that part.
Ofcourse it's essential for the plot that she needs extra money, but I would've liked a reason that felt more believable to me.
Amaya seems like a nice enough main character so far, She has a bit of a temper, which I didn't care for, but she is honest and speaks her mind which I did like.
I had a bit of trouble getting a feel for what she thought of the whole vampire blood bank situation and having to work there.
I thought it was interesting she's a human living in this city filled with supernaturals, but so far not much is done with that.
She also seemed curious and open minded so far,
Then there is a hint of a potential romance and what I think is one of the love interests we get introduced to.
He seems nice enough and wants to help and protect Amaya, Although it did rub me wrong how he used his gift/ power/ whatever it is was, which felt quite intrusive to me without asking Amaya first.
I am wondering what he is hiding as he has this whole mysterious vampire vibe going on and I wonder what he is going to show Amaya.
We get to meet Amaya's best friend as well in this book and a few other side characters.
There is very little world building so far, but that's more because it's a short read than that anything's really missing or lacking.
And as I read another book by this author already I used that to fill in some world building knowledge, because as far as I know all these series take place in the same world.
To summarize: It's hard to really get a feel for this story as it's so short, but it was an interesting start of this new series.
There are some things that make me curious about what's going to happen next, but I am not fully sold yet on this series.
I liked the main character and what I think is one of the love interest well enough, but felt like I didn't fully get a good feel of them yet.
I am looking forward to getting to know them better in the next book, I thought the reason for her needing money felt a bit off, it just felt a bit contrived to me and I thought another action would've made more sense given what happened.
I am curious about the next book, After reading the authors Tales from the Edge series I was happy to see that there was a new series out.
The characters and world building were great and knowing that this book was from the human viewpoint of Distant Edge made me even happier.
I can not wait to see what happens in the next book, so many questions need answers to.

First of all, this book was amazing, But that ending though, wow how is that even possible This book kept me entertained the entire time.
I started it and I didnt stop reading until I finished it, If youre thinking about reading it stop thinking and just do it because you most likely wont regret it, if its your type of book.

I love that this is in the Distant Edge universe, I have read and loved all of the books released in this world so far and this one is no different.
Amaya is a independent human woman and I like seeing this world from a human's prospective, Add in the vampire Vasily and the warlocks along with a few others and you get an amazingly creative storyline from a human's view point in Distant Edge.
I love it and I can't wait to what is going to happen next for Amaya and her men.
I love when you get to the end of a book and there's something that just makes you go 'what! Now give me the next book already so I can find out what that means.
' I enjoyed this book so much, I feel we start to get to know the characters and their slightly unusual world not read one quite like it before which is brill and now I want to know more.
. . This book blew me away, The story of Amaya and her best friend Jules begins when Amaya gets employed at the same place As Jules.
When Vasily saves Amaya from one of the customers, she is given the opportunity of earning extra money, meeting the roommates who turn out to be hot.
Immerse yourself in the journey to save Candy and Sabin, You will love this story as much as I did and I cant wait to read the next book.
This is my first time reading this author and I have to say she has quite a way of expressing herself.
The prose is smooth and the dialogue is realistic, and not juvenile,
The FMC, Amaya, is feisty and learns to become more empowered as the story progresses, She's in a bad way in the beginning, down on her luck, but learns to push through and fight.
I love them men, but Bodhi is my favorite so far, Sorry Vasily. Lol.
There is a twist to the story and Amaya's character development and I loved it! So unique and a different take.
Chloe also knows how to write those sexy times! Woowee, Even the one that was more tame was still very passionate and steamy,
Highly recommend!
