Rather shallow and dated but some good foundational ideas regarding the math involved in determining probability of profit for a cryptocurrency. Key point is that the goal posts are always moving as the crypto change to adapt to conditions generally resulting in more power being required to maintain the same level of production over time as the problem to be solved increases in difficulty over time to maintain the 1 coin every 10 mintues production rate.
