Access Today What If?: What Makes You Different Makes You Amazing! Written By Sandra Magsamen Accessible Through Ebook
I accessed a digital review copy of this book through Edelweiss, I didn't like this book, It kept delivering the message that it's okay to be different but there was no story just message, I also didn't like how the monkeys were only being silly with other monkeys, And the sheep were just with other sheep, It didn't really go along with the story that everyone
should be different since most of the animals stayed with the animals they were mostly the same as.
This cute little book is a splash of color with big bold fonts, intended to highlight the importance of uniqueness, In rhyming text, we see page after page of truly unique animals, For example, there's a puppy with two difference colored eyes and an extremely tall giraffe, For more children's literature, middle grade literature, and YA literature reviews, feel free to visit my personal blog at sitelinkThe Miller Memo! i read this inmins! HAHAH cute doe just mindless stuff sitelinkThis was well, I see the author writes for Oprah, and this was the kind of book I can see people who like Oprah picking up!
I like my childrens book messages to be a bit subtler.
Maybe its the Australian in me, but this was too “upbeat positive message” for my tastes!
I did like the animal silhouette illustration, however, and know children will enjoy looking at it for a long time.
What a good inclusive book for everyone and each one, Bright illustrations in this board book will appeal to all, Adorable pictures with a simple message to see differences as unique and interesting, But the book quickly takes a downward spiral with pages and pages of didactic preaching you're special, you're beautiful, life is a gift, if we were all alike like would be boring, everyone is special, we are one of a kind, show the world who you are, let your youness shine.
. . without benefit of story or even cute illustrations, If you stick with the story, you might as well, it returns to a friendlier, gentler, even funnier message of why being different might be helpful, interesting, and fun.
A cute little book about celebrating our differences, Wish there was more of a story to it though, Everyone is different and its our differences that make us special, There is no one in the world exactly like you and why would you want them to be Childlike illustrations of happy animals and a message that is so familiar now as to be generic: Everyone's different, everyone's special, be unique and be you because you are great.
Perhaps all of these lines won't be so familiar to the tiniest tots, but slightly older kids and adults will be wellacquainted with them, The words in this book and the vibrant pictures made me feel happy, Great book about identity. What If is a book about celebrating each and every individual no matter who they are, It tells the kids that everyone is amazing in their own way, It has rhyming sentences with big and fun font and some great colored pictures,
You see, being different is special and can give your spirit a lift!
I really liked the rhyming and the message but I felt some sentences were repeated.
A fun book still.
.This is a saccharine and preachy book about celebrating one's uniqueness, It panders shamelessly to the push for more diverse books but offers nothing of real substance, In my experience, kids think of themselves as pretty great adults are the ones who suggest it might be otherwise by writing books like this.
I liked “What If”, especially the bright illustrations, However, I felt like it ended halfway through the book, but it kept going, I was given an ARC through sitelinkThe Story Shop for this title,
Sandra Magsamen's What If uses the animal kingdom to explore uniqueness and diversity, Posing each "what if" question as a rhetorical pondering for small children helps them see how special each individual is, The bright and happy illustrations teach wonderful lessons of appreciating one's own gifts and abilities while realizing that these qualities are different in everyone, The second half of the book then encourages courage through selfconfidence and promotes encouragement of others' different talents and qualities, This book is charming and inviting for children of all ages, iseng baca buku anakanak, pesannya relate buat diri sendiri ahahaha tapi yaa gitugitu aja,
Gemass karena bukunya colourful Colorful!! Great overall message but storyline is ok, Pictures are just ok. A bit didactic for my taste This was a cute book I read with my granddaughter, It has a sweet message about being different, A wonderful celebration of diversity!
