Starseeds 2 Reviews
-
An improvement over the first volume since the story felt a bit more coherent this time around. Glaubitz's new choice of colors was also something I found more aesthetically pleasing, making his clean geometric shapes and bold designs pop a lot more. It's sci-fi meets fever dream in a really nice way, even if the story itself can still be a little too challenging to decipher.
-
Glaubitz continues to build a unique cosmology based on occult paranoia, astrophysics, and superhero myth. The two-tone woodblock-like style of Starseeds is like some unearthed fever dream of Eastern European radical artists of the 1920s.
-
Jack Kirby meets Grant Morrison meets Jodorowsky. Where have you been all my life, Charles Glaubitz?
-
The sequel surpasses the first volume by a long shot and is superior in every way.
