Arrested Heart (Arrested, #1) Reviews

Steamy, real story!
I enjoyed Arrested Heart because of it's true life situations, likeable characters, and hot intimacy. The novel represents real life problems and what can happen when the right one comes along. Throw in an adorable child, and humor, and you have yourself a page turner. Contemporary fans are sure to be pleased with this book! -
Arrested Heart stopped my own beating core.
Written with intense pace from (largely) two points of view, Arrested Heart follows the rather heart-breaking life of Lulu Haan, a single mother striving to create a happy and stable life for her adorable daughter. Men have been out of the picture for some time; there’s just too much risk with a wee girl in the house.
Then an unexpected shared moment of eye contact with a handsome police officer churns into much more, as Lulu rediscovers the heat in her soul. The beautiful Liam is in similar circumstances from a hands-off-romance standpoint, although he has much more social support.
I won’t go on about the plot, unwilling to spoil or expose, except to say there are intense twists, high emotion and good character development. The language is thoroughly modern, with some swearing, but it sounds like your neighbour speaking . . . or even yourself.
It's been a long time since I couldn’t put down a book. While not high literature, all the important bits of a good read are here. Arrested Heart made me cry, steam and cheer for Lulu and Liam.
Lovers of sexy romance: you must try this. “Book” four hours, get comfortable, and go. -
Turn off the shower - it’s too steamy in here
A hot ride with highly relatable characters. I’m just not sure how to keep the pages flat with all this steam! -
Fabulous and Hot read for a summers day! If you are looking for a romantic and sexy romance book, this is the book for you! Can't wait for the next one to come out!

“Arrested heart” couldn’t have been a more appropriate title for this captivating story from H. L Nida, an American writer who loves writing romance novels. This is the first book in the Arrested series. It tells the story of Lulu, a single mum who has an abusive ex fiancé. It is really difficult for her to trust a man again, but she meets a law enforcement officer and things get complicated for her. She only has to resist temptation, that sounds easy, does it?
I absolutely love Ms. Nida and her writing style. She writes the hottest alpha men and the sassiest women who bring them to their knees, but she always brings a bucket load of emotions and tears right along with it. She gives you the gut punch you need to bring tears to your eyes and the feels to your belly. Thanks to her for the incredible ability to describe characters, I fell in love with each of them, but particularly with that man who was delicious!!
I can’t wait for more from this author. Bravo! -
Arrested Heart by H. L. Nida is the first in her Arrested series featuring law officers who put their heart on the line. Lulu is a single mom who attracts Liam's attention. He has never dated a single mom before and struggles to say and do the right things around Lulu's daughter, Svave. Lulu has never dated anyone since the death of Svave's father, Dan. This is new ground for both of them and the mistakes and emotions escalate until the truth about Dan's death is revealed. Could these two work through the scars and heartache?
H. L. Nida adds much adult content in her books and Arrested Heart is no exception. She adds drama and danger that law officers have to face daily. She keeps it real, yet makes it entertaining. This novel is a great book to kick off this series. I read the second book, Arrested Minds, first and love the action she integrates. -
from the synopsis I got really excited to get into it... and it took me at least a week from start to finish, to read it... which is so unlike me... but I truly couldn't get myself into the story?
There was time where the Susan/Lulu made no sense to me? Susan seemed so rude at times which? why? Also Susan getting mad at Liam when Lulu walks out of the cookout and then when it her pov she doesn't understand Lulu's reactions? Okay? the continuity was lacking af
idk if it's a me thing or what but I felt like the writing was off, I'm not one of those people that care much for it, it's either I can vibe with it or not and I think unfortunately I couldn't. Liam/Lulu/Sveva are such a cute family tho and they totally made everything worthwhile, just for them I'm glad I read it but yeah, definitely not my favorite book -
Arrested Series may be one of the steamy romance stories I've really enjoyed reading for this year. How the author delved into the emotions of the character was what I really liked the most in the story. It made me feel attached to the main character and it almost felt like I was the character with all the emotions put in those scenes. I also like how independent the character is despite the difficulties in life she was experiencing. She was the epitome of a strong woman yet still just a woman who is wishing for someone who'd just sincerely love and care for her. I suggest checking this out and continue on the second book as well because both are great masterpieces!!
