Demon Hunter Ashlyn: Farmhand Desire (Sexy Demon Hunter Series Book 1) features terrific narration, a mom who is rather overfocused on how much sex her son is having, and….sadly….all hetero sex.
There is some of the terrific humor that I appreciate with Riley Rose’s books (getting attacked by an acid spewing creature that dissolves Ashlyn’s clothes!, and sex being frequently interrupted by her partners’ mom), but overall this story is more straightforward (straight….get it?) than a couple other of her books.
Girl loses clothes, girl meets boy, girl does boy…again….and again….and again….and again….and again, and perhaps a couple more times over a three hour period. Gotta give credit where credit’s due: the guy’s got stamina! Bandits attack, she fights bandits and wins…takes about 15 seconds, showing what a demon hunter she must be.
The best news is that the story ends with Ashlyn off to find a succubus rumored to be terrorizing folks. So, part 2 should offer the lesbian fun that was missing here. If you’re hetero or bisexual, you might give this another star than I, but for me this is a 3* - meh story. -
(Audiobook version. Narrator was perfect). Ashlyn is a half human, half faerie demon hunter. During this story, she meets a young male farmer in her travels and hot erotica ensues. The farmer lives with his mother who brings some light hearted humor to the mix. This was a great introductory story for us to meet Ashlyn the demon hunter. I can’t wait to enjoy her next demon-hunting adventure (especially because the end of the book talks of a succubus in the area which I bet means some sapphic hotness is in our future).
