Okay I am a selftaught knitter and crocheter, Using my hands and learning from a book is just up my alley, It makes sense to me, If you are facing tatting for the first time without a clear idea of what the final product should look like, and how your hands should move to achieve it, this might be beyond you.
But it worked for me and I would happily recommend the book with the DVD for the visual learning for someone wanting to give it a go.
