I first read this book, I probably would have given it four, but my second reading meant I looked forward to half remembered events and characters, I liked the main character, Jenny, very much, She is down to earth, a hard worker, but not above having fun with the others in her form, Her friend, Lorna, is the opposite, Popular, at least with the girls and not the teachers, she has breezed through life with

little a care except what her father can provide for her and has no opposition.


Until she comes against a few difficulties at Southdown, that is! We see her adventures, and Jenny solve a mystery, and all of this comes together to create a beautiful example of it's genre with a happy ending that will satisfy any school girl story fan.
