National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of How : Esbaum, Jill Reviews

We just love these types of books, the type that allows you to explore it in every sense, bright colourful true to life pictures that draws attention, fact filled with easy to read information on so many subjects from how do I fall asleep to how are mountains formed. We loved the interactive experiments & games linked into some of the subjects which were great for expanding understanding. The tips for parents is super helpful too, great suggestions for reinforcing learning throughout this book. Even the grown ups have learnt something from it.Very informative and engaging book that can be picked up as and when for learning snippets of knowledge.

Nicely presented book but too many American terms to be easily accessed by a young British child without further explanation. With hindsight perhaps understandable in a Nat. Geographic publication but this would put me off purchasing any of the other titles in this series as the book was bought to encourage independent reading so I don't want to have to explain too many things interrupting the child's focus on trying to read the text himself.

My 5 year old is a non stop asking question machine. Thank you for writing a book at gives my brain a rest for a while. We have a few of the National Geographic books such as the first big book of why and first big book of space and weather and they are just fabulous. Full of information that has taught me loads too

Great book especially for a bit older kids, my 2 year old loves illustrations and pictures on it. I bet he will love it even when he gets a bit bigger and we can read it together as there are many interesting things explained in good detail for little ones knowledge.
