The Adult Autism Assessment Handbook: A Neurodiversity Affirmative Approach Reviews
-
Strikingly thorough, researched, accessible. As an autistic and healthcare professional, this is the book I have been waiting for.Way beyond how to conduct an autism assessment, you will find robust information and sign posting to topics such as: masking, cultural competence of the assessors, autism in the older people, neuro affirmative language, parenting and pregnancy. And so much .This book is about me (rare feeling when it comes to autism literature!); I trust many autistics will feel it is about them too. My family (many of whom are autistic) and I are most grateful to the authors.

This book is inspiring and informative. Relevant to anyone interested in autism and the autistic community, not just people doing assessments.

Pure brilliance. Thank you for writing it.
-
I really appreciate the guidance in this book!

I haven’t read the book yet (looking forward to doing so) however thought I’d mention the book was in a bit of a state with the cover and firsts several pages bent and creased.I would normally shrug it off, however paying over £30 for it was disappointed with the condition it was in. Hopefully a one off. Will edit once I’ve read to update review contents.
