KEVIN DEYOUNG is the senior pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina. He serves as a council member at The Gospel Coalition and blogs on TGC's DeYoung, Restless and Reformed. Kevin is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte) and received a Ph.D. in history from the University of Leicester (UK). This book is excellent as it explains the Heidelberg Catechism. I learned about that catechism in the early 1950s. DeYoung's writing is clear, informative and very helpful.

If you're looking for a concise, readable attempt to explain the relevance of the Heidelberg Catechism, you probably won't find a better book. DeYoung has become one of my favourite authors; he's very engaging, very thoughtful, and he has a unique ability to bring
