  this book is a must buy for the Elvis fans new and old alike , if you want the story as it should be written this is one for you.she is a lovely lady who was a great friend to elvis , and she tells it as exactly as elvis wanted her to tell his story.she dont sugar coat but tells it like it is , i love this book , and was lucky enough to also get a signed one from the author as well as buying it on as well, so good i brought it twice lolalls i can say if you love or dont know the man , purchase this you will , its a hard to put down book , im glad its in my collection but see for yourself , i can guarantee you will be glad you did , if not then at least it made yopu think about the man called Elvis Presleya classic in its timejulie

  Von all den vielen Büchern, die über Elvis geschrieben wurden, finde ich das Buch absolut erstaunlich. Der Inhalt zeigt eine sehr unbekannte und persönliche Seite von Elvis auf und erlaubt einen Blick auf den privaten Elvis. Was sehr deutlich wird ist die Tatsache, daß der Mensch Elvis Presley und der Superstar Elvis ganz offensichtlich zwei verschiedene Persönlichkeiten waren. Auf der einen Seite der selbstsichere Sänger und Entertainer, der genau weiß was er will. Und außerhalb der Bühne der private Elvis, ein Mensch mit einer facettenreichen Persönlichkeit. Jemand, der tief religiös war, intelligent, unsicher, schüchtern und von Zweifeln geplagt.Obwohl das Buch und die Autorin in der Elvis Szene sehr controvers gesehen wird, ist es doch ein Buch, das ich für absolut lesenswert halte und das sich wohltuend von all den anderen literarischen Werken unterscheidet, die zu 90% den Voyeurismus der Fans bedienen und nachweislich nicht immer wahre Fakten enthalten. Daß einige der ehemaligen Mitglieder von Elvis' innerem Zirkel, der sogenannten "Memphis Mafia", der Autorin unterstellen Elvis nicht persönlich gekannt zu haben, wundert mich nicht allzusehr. Das Buch enthüllt so manches Ereignis und "entzaubert" den Mythos, der seit seinem Tode um Elvis Presley aufgebaut wurde und conträer zum allgemein bekannten "Image" von "fat and forthy" ist. Daß die Autorin Wanda June Hill eine Lügnerin ist, die von der "Goldenen Gans" ebenfalls profitieren will, halte ich für absurd, da kein Mensch mit so einer Fantasie gesegnet ist, um all die Gespräche, Telefonate etc. zu erfinden, die in dem Buch enthalten sind. Im Gegensatz zu all den anderen "Schriftstellern" verwendet sie die Erlöse des Buches für wohltätige Zwecke und nicht zur persönlichen Bereichung, was für sich selbst spricht und sie auch von den Bücher schreibenden Mitgliedern der MM unterscheidet.Mein Fazit: Ein Buch, welches jeder echte Elvis Fan lesen sollte, um auch etwas über die weniger bekannte, private Seite seines Idols zu erfahren.

  I've read about 25 books about Elvis, mostly first hand accounts by those who knew him. This one knocked me out as among the best. It's up there w/ Elvis Aaron Presley and other titles by the ex Memphis Mafia on three counts: solid anecdotes, savvy writing and honesty. Congratulations to Ms Hill.It is an odd book, by a closet romantic, but when all is said and done it's a first person account. Unlike 95% of the rest of the hundreds at .com, it is written by a first person associate who was with him. That means you get new information, instead of reheated hash. In the other book 'Elvis' Humor: Girls, Guns and Guitars' it's the same thing mentioned, that you must go to the people who knew him to get new and inside information about anyone, even Elvis.

  I like this book We Remember Elvis because the Author Wanda June Hill share her close personal friendship Elvis Presley. This book keep drawing me back to read and . Because while reading this book we Remember Elvis it felt like I was right there with Wanda June Hill and she was telling me the story in person rather than reading this book. I highly recommend this book.
