excelent book, much up to date than expected, and very informative, All the major singers,songwriters and producers are represented in this encyclopedia of country music, From JIMMY RODGERS,the father of the genre to CARRIE UNDERWOOD,you'll find a biography of each one, I understand that the complete discography of singers before the lp era would have been hard to establish,so they decided not to do it.
I would also have liked pictures of album covers in the middle of the book, The essays are well written and perceptivethey put everything under original perspective of different decades, You'll also know about the country music awards over the yearsthe members of the hall of famethe albums that sold at least,copies in history etc.
