Then she mentions how she wished her dad would smack her mom around, Holy shit. And then paraphrasing that women can deserve their abuse from husbands when they yell at him, Again, holy shit! What is wrong with this woman! And wasn't she abused herself by her second husband I'm starting to understand how Bill thought he could treat women BOTH gender parents set a poor example of what was acceptable.


After finishing this book, I think Virginia was quite a character, I admire her for becoming a nurse anesthetist, especially in her time, But I just didn't like her that much,
