Back when I was in kindergarten, my teacher had the full set of these tiny story books, and we were free to borrow them to read.
I loved 'In a Dark, Dark Wood' so much I kept borrowing it over and over and over and over and over.
. . and over again, so much so my teacher eventually gave it to me to keep, Sixteen years later, I still have this book, and still enjoy reading it, Great use of repetitive language, It can be made into a suspensful story, It is also a great story to use around the Halloween without discussing the holiday directly, My field experience classroom read this story K, I loved it! My teacher really made it suspenseful, and it's easy enough for a lot of the students to read along.
I would love to read this to my class if I had Kindergarten, A traditional tale.
