Collect T. Rex Trouble! Drafted By Dennis R. Shealy In PDF
and superheroes . you can't go wrong. My little one enjoyed this story, Good text for early readers, Good levelbook for kindergarten age kids that like superheros, My sonyrs enjoyed reading this book out loud to me, He said that it was amazing how the dinosaurs came to life, He also like how the Super Friends took care of the dinosaurs and became their friends, As a parent, I enjoyed this book because it was a good challenge for him, It was long enough to keep him interested, and the sentenaces were short enough so he did not get frustrated, This book is a Levelbook in the Step Into Reading series, Join Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, and the rest of the DC Super Friends as they fly off on a new adventure in this Step into Reading leveled reader for boys ages.
When evil Lex Luthor takes over the city of Metropolis with an army of dinosaurs, the Super Friends rush in to save the day from these prehistoric monsters! The Super Friends Batman, Superman, The Green Lantern, etc.
are called in when some dinosaurs, aided by Lex Luthor, begin to wreak havoc on downtown Metropolis, The Super Friends and the dinosaurs become friends, and the Super Friends then build a home for the dinosaurs, which basically resembles a zoo, As silly as this book is, itsperfect for all the fouryearold boys who come in to my library asking for superhero books and dinosaur books! Im a little uncertain as to how putting dinosaurs in a zoo is a friendly gesture or a practical idea but Im betting that will go
right over the heads of the intended audience.
This is an absolutely horrible book, . . but the kids loved it! The story is lame, the characters flat, and the writing stilted, . . but they were utterly enthralled, I'll put this one in the category of being written perfectly for its audience, But next time I'm having them read it to themselves, because I don't think I could take another round! lol I recently purchased this book in a collection for myyear old son.
He loves it.
Dinosaur fossils are on parade and Lex Luthor sprays them with super foam, which brings them to life, Flash sees what is going on and calls on his Super Friends for help, While the dinosaurs are scaring the towns people, Lex takes their money and valuables, Batman, Green Lantern, and Superman arrive to help the Flash, The Super Friends capture Lex and then build a home for the dinosaurs to live, My son needed some help with a few of the words, Colorful illustrations. The absolute ridiculousness of this book forces me to rate it higher, It has somehow become more amusing the more I read it, Lex Luther uses super foam to turn fossils into living dinosaurs which rampage the city leaving Lex able to steal all the money, The best line, "The Super Friends have made friends with the dinosaurs!" Side note: I still can't get behind these early reader books that are early readers due to less words per page versus easier words to read.
I somehow doubt "pteranodon" is a stepword, meh. Charlie could not care less when we read this, My nephew loved this book, I had a few other stories to read to the kids tonight, but not in my nephew's opinion, T. Rex Trouble was the only book I had in my book bag tonight! I read the story to him, and he just beamed the entire way through! When we were done, he exclaimed, "THAT WAS SO COOL!!" I handed the book to him, and he looked at all of the pictures, and then I heard him "reading" the book to himself.
He asked me to read T, Rex Trouble to him a second time, but my voice is a little raw tonight, so I asked my niece if she would please read it to him, Now this is where the book had merit for me,
My nephew loved it, as I knew he would, But what I liked about this book is that it was completely something that my niece was able to read to her brother, It gave her the chance to work on her expression as she read, and it gave her the opportunity to read big words like triceratops and pteranodon,
The story in this book is aimed at young preschool aged kids, But what a great book to use to get those older siblings involved in reading out loud to their little brothers and sisters! Woohoo Super Friends! Batman saves the day.
