really liked this story, Normally this author is touch and go for me but for some reason this story struck a cord, I don't normally like very long long long sex scenes and Eden Cole's books have plenty of those but I do like her writing, She has a very simple style which is easy to read and quite comforting,
This is quite a short story and a simple romance between a cop called Cooper and man who spends most of his time working called Erik,
Erik meets Cooper through his twin sister but all he really wants is a one night stand, He has an opportunity to develop something with Cooper but he doesn't follow it through, He regrets this and eventually has to back track to get his man,
It is a simple story with quite a familiar story line but it was a pleasant read and a nice way to spend some downtime, I enjoyed it. It just goes to show that sometimes you can come across a book from an author you may be unsure about and really like it, It is always good to remain open to possibilities,
Off now to read the sequel, Naw, my rating stays the same, however this story felt a little rushed, Started out good, but wound up a little to quickly! I believe there's a sequel so who knows! Erik is always grumpy around the holidays, Christmas in New York is a big hassle, and nothing can change that, Until his twin sister sends him a poinsettia for a gift, Erik hates plants too, but what's gotten the businessman's attention is the sexy
NYPD cop attached, A nice short read about finding love in unexpected places so long as you're willing to open up enough to let it in, They're setup, they fuck, he's the one who leaves and the one who cancels the next date, but he's suddenly obsessed, Just phone him back already and save us the stalker behaviour!
The cop is the one who is out, funny idea, I'd think his job would make it harder for him it being stereotypically a macho role.
Oh and after one meal and one fuck the cop is oh so sensitive and in love, After two almost fights with the cop's younger brother and a kiss from his older brother, Eric is now in love too,
I'm pretty sure their in the room with the two brothers when they start having sex, the older brother is watching with tented trousers at one point WOWClassy and I think it's the fact that Erik doesn't invite him to join in that proves the purity of the mindblowing love suffusing their bodies as he wears the cop's arse out.
