The young Earl of Devonwood grew up seeing visions, a trait he gets from his mothers side.
He usually has abouthours until a vision comes to pass, and they always do, But that doesnt stop him from trying to stop or change them, His father wont listen to that kind of malarkey, even though Griffin has proven his visions time and time again,
So when Griffin as a young boy sees his fathers death, he does everything he can to prevent it, But his father doesnt listen, and Griffin feels that since he has no control over what happens, that its pointless to try to warn anybody, or change anything.
Then he meets the intoxicating woman in his garden, And after the lovely vision of amazing sex with her that he has, he finds out she is his brothers almostfiancé, Uh, oops.
Emmaline is not engaged to Teddy, Yet. And since she and her father are conartists, thats probably a good thing, The visions that Griffin keeps getting of her only intrigue him more, but hes also super skeptical of both Emmaline and her professor father.
But if shes a fortune hunter, why isnt she engaged to his brother yet And why isnt she taking him up on his offer since hes the earl It doesnt make sense to him.
When one of his visions comes true, everything changes, How can he fall for his brothers woman without ruining both her and his relationship with his brother
Meanwhile, there is something going on behind the scenes, and its not what I expected.
Someone plans on stealing something from Emmaline and her father, but its so much more than that, The ending was a bit abrupt, but it was interesting, to say the least,
All in all, a good read, slightly different from your normal Regency, but in a good way, I really enjoyed the Mia Marlowes style and will absolutely continue on in the series,
My favorite quote:
“That violet gown is most becoming, Miss Farnsworth, "
"Thank you milord, " How should she return the compliment you make my pantaloons twist, milord would be honest at least,
ARC courtesy of Kensington Publishing Touch of a Scoundrel is the third installment of the Touch of Seduction series.
Let me just say I do have the first book and I haven't gotten to read it yet, I know shame on me, However, you know me and my habit of reading books out of order, I thought it would be fitting to do my review on Touch of a Scoundrel by Mia Marlowe, since it comes out this Tuesday.
So, here's what you are in for:
You meet Emmaline Farnsworth and her foster father Montague Farnsworth who are trying to swindle Theordore Nash out of money.
Little do they know that Teddy's coffers aren't exactly filled to the top,
Then you have Teddy's older wiser brother, Griffin Nash, the Earl of Devonwood, who doesn't trust Emmaline or her father at all.
However, he can't seem to help the pull he feels toward her, Griffin tries to entice Emmaline to go after him, but Emmaline wants nothing to do with him after all it would jeopardize her future.
No matter how hard they try to avoid there attraction, fate has already decided what the outcome should be,
AMAZING book! I loved Touch of a Scoundrel, It's a definitely a page turner you don't want to miss, Honestly, when I was reading it I couldn't put it down, I just needed to know what happen to Emmaline, Teddy, and Griffin and how it played out.
Mia Marlowe is an amazing author that I plan to go back and read other works by her,

It was the best of the three books, but it seemed to flow too fast and not much drama with his gift.
. . but I enjoyed reading the story, but I was left wanting more, ed by: Shannon

When his brother, Theodore, comes home from Egypt with a fiancee and her father in tow, Griffin Nash, the Earl of Devonwood, is skeptical of what Ms.
Emmaline Farnsworth and her father really want, While Griffin tries to discover just what Emma and her father are up to, he finds himself falling in deeper for her and discovering the Emma manages to take away the pain associated with his gift of seeing the future.
Griffin and Emma were two individuals who were trapped in circumstances of their own making, Griffin held himself away from others because he was afraid of what he gift might show him, Emma wanted to be loved so she went along with whatever scheme her adopted father came up with to make him happy.
Neither of the characters are very likable and could be downright nasty to each other, Despite that, theyre attraction to each other was undeniable and as the story went on you hoped they both had the courage to finally grab the one thing they wanted.
I was hoping for so much more from this story, With an Egyptian artifact, an Earl with the gift of “sight” and a Marquess dabbling in a bit of witchcraft, I thought this would be a book that kept me at the edge of my seat.
While the romance between Griffin and Emma is the main focus of the story, the Egyptian statue and the Marquess involvement also played an important role in the how and why Griffin and Emma came together, so I wanted more involvement and the outcome of the story to be a direct result of this storyline and not Ted and Griffins disagreement.
This was enjoyable read for the majority of the story, even if it left me wanting more, This is the third book in Mia Marlowe's series "Touch of Seduction, " In each book one of the main characters has a special gift of touch, When they touch an specific type of item they can either see the past or the future,
In this book our hero Devon has the magic touch but can only see the near future withinhours of now.
He is an Earl in charge of an estate that is barely keeping in the black, His Gift has helped out at cards more than once, Then his brother brings home from Egypt a soon to be, if she concents, fiance,
Emmaline is a con artist along with her protector "father" Monty, This latest con involving an Egyptian statue is sure to be the big one they have waited for, Until Devon falls for his brother's woman, Worse yet, Emmaline falls for an Earl, How could this scam possibly work when you have to decide between a scam that will pay for your father's desperately needed medical treatment or becoming a mistress to the man you love
There was a bit of a lull in the middle of the book, swamped in story setup that really wasn't needed in my opinion but once past that the book once again held my interest to the finishing line.
A passionate fun read. .
