Receive Your Copy Changed (The Hunters, #1) Imagined By Rose J. Bell Offered In Printable Format

Twostar book with threestar moments, Id say,

What I LIKED about this book:

The storyline, It had a LOT of potential!
Jason, He was a bit of a hottie,
Rosa, the main character, I loved her assassinlike attitude,

What I DISLIKED about this book:

The writing, And not talking grammar mistakes Im talking that Rose J, Bell had a story of which she really didnt know what to do with!
The romance, It was a little premature and I felt that it reached its full potential within the first quarter of the book, which means there wasnt a lot of build up for it.
And I LOVE myself some build up!

Okay, wtf I can't believe I read all the way through the novel, only to be disappointed at the end, It's all so flipping crazy, Despite the ending, it was a good book, an eARC was provided by author in exchange of an honest review,

I don't know how to write this review, it has to be one of the hardest reviews I've written, simply because I don't know what to say about this book.
I almost DNF it a couple times but I forced myself to finish it because I actually liked the story line,

The first problem and the one that I had the hardest time moving past was the writing, The story has a potential that if reached could make one hell of a book, but the writing was so awkward, When I first cracked open Changed, I couldn't move past the first chapter, I groaned as soon as I read the second page and I just wanted to closed it and never open it, I did close it, but I wanted to finish the book because I hate to DNF a book that I received for review, so I started reading it again.

The second thing, was the characters and the character development, They just felt two diminutional, and I doubt I'll remember their names in a few weeks, They weren't any special, and at the end of the book I didn't see any difference in them than they were in the start, Even Rosa, the main character, didn't change in the least in her hatred for the angels even though she fell in love with one and she was still judging them, him included.

And then there is the romance, I didn't feel it at all, even though there were scenes that should have been swoonworthy and very romantic but that felt stiff, Rosa and Jason's relationship didn't feel like it built up on anything, and I don't know how they fell in love, One second they hated each other and then the next they were kissing which was very confusing and hard to keep up, They lacked that sizzling chemistry that existed in every hatelove relationship which turned their relationship into an awkward mess,

The only reason I didn't give this book one star, was because I liked the storyline, Changed could have been much better had it been written well, but unfortunately it wasn't, i've really enjoyed reading this book much better than my expections, even though there are some little flaws it was good, I hope there would be more action from rosa in the next book and i'll gladly wait for jason and rosa's next reunion, I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review,

This review will also be on my blog this weekend, along with a giveaway! So check it out at sitelinkIstyria book blog

Jep,stars.
That's right. That's a pretty high rating for an angel book coming from me, But then again, this is not an ordinary angel book, And still I missed something in it, I think I, as always, expected more,

So this is the story of Rosa, She is a hunter, a pretty good one actually, I liked her. She was a cool main character, I liked Jason and I liked the two of them together, Now, I don't exactly know what I missed in this book, . . Maybe I wanted a little more action Maybe it's the end that disappointed me I don't know, I only know that there was something missing in this book, The writing was okay. Pretty good, but not great either, The book overall was pretty average, Maybe it just isn't my thing, If you're a fan of angel books, you'll most likely like this book too, If not, you might not like this one, but then again, this is just my opinion, also posted at sitelinkJa čitam, a ti amp you can also enter the giveaway

How far you'll get with this book depends mostly on how long you can tolerate some linguistic errors, regardless if they're grammatical, syntactic or structural or any other.
As you can see I can tolerate it but then again my grammar sucks sometimes so I'm in no position to judge anyone, But also the story is really gripping and I wanted to see what will happen, I'm really happy cause of that,

When I say happy for that I mostly mean that I've got to read the ending of this book, Yes this is a series and everything but then again this ending was the only right thing to do, But besides that this is also a story about angels and considering that they're my favorite creatures I always expect much more, That mistake is mine and mine alone so maybe some people will love this story more, The main problem for me was the characterization of angels, When you create them as villains it creates some bad feelings inside me, I don't have such a problem with Nephilim but then about archangels I do,

To tell you more about the book, We have a girl named Rosa as a pretty good kickass character, After some events in her past she decided to become a hunter and with her determination she became one of the best, While living in the world where the world as we know it has been invaded the two tabors are created, Some cities are the cities of hunters while other are the cities of angels, The problems for Rose starts when all of the sudden two angels are in her city, Yes they have glamour but they can't fool Rose, Even though all her instincts tell her to kill them as it's her job she is curious to see why are they there, Something is off. Jason one of the angles is on a quest and searching for someone very important to him,

Besides all the things I mentioned above which were problems for me this book also has some good sides, First one is the whole idea for the story is good, Maybe I'd change some things but this is not my book, The idea is good and I do see potential in it, The author also managed to create something that some author's never do feelings, But most of the bad things could be fixed with a good editor, Towards the end of the book this became such an amazing thing, I'm really happy that I've had the opportunity to read it,

Rating:.stars.

Years after her father's death, Rosa is training to be one of the best hunters in the world in order to revenge her father's death.
During that time, two of her enemies appear in a city ruled by the hunter clan for reasons of the unknown and Rosa has to make decisions that will follow the rules she has been following all her life or follow what she believes is right.

My first impression after the prologue were the first few sentences somehow mirroring Graceling I think they're almost, if not, entirely the same, Both Katsa and Rosa were in a dungeon, they were creeping about the wall in the dark and they had the map of the place in their mind.
I was having this slight feeling that it was going to be Graceling Hunters and Archangels/Nephilim style, Thankfully, the similarities to Graceling ended there that doesn't mean there aren't other ones, . . , aside from the fact that they both move like cats,

I'm not exactly a big fan of a lot of the characters in Changed, including Rosa herself okay, I do like Rosa, . . sort of. Because heroines

with a "I don't play around" type of attitudes are cool, Somehow, most are either arrogant and secretly kindhearted, or just plain evil and by evil, I mean in a coldblooded homicidal type of way to get what they want.
Speaking of creepy evil guys, Lord Constantine is well described in a superiously scary way that I'm extremely glad he's preserved in writing and not going to pop out of my laptop when I'm not looking with those creepy eyes, ready to send me to a murderous game where a few other peoples and I get chased by a mysterious killer er, Chaser unless an item is found Hunger Games twist with the Grim Reaper much Thank gods there were no axes involved shudders.

I even find his smile extremely creepy similar to the anglerfish you find in Finding Nemo smiling really big with it's huge teeth and the little light in front of his eyes ready to chomp up it's prey and fails.

Okay, that's an exaggeration, The anglerfish is somehow more creepier than Lord Constantine in a nutshell maybe it's just the teeth, But maybe Bruce smiling will do Lord Constantine's smile, however much I despise him, can't be as creepy as the anglerfish, can it

Generally, I usually find myself liking the love interest as well.
Sadly, in this case, not really, Despite the fact that I love Jason's constant mini bickerings/banterings/pushing of buttons with Rosa I found those amusing probably a bit more amusing than Shane vs.
Rosa bickering, I just find him too arrogant and having a really high ego, Plus he doesn't exactly give others girls their privacy when needed, . . but somehow, I feel sympathetic whenever Jason has to face his father, Regardless, I just find Jason really annoying to be around, even though there are times when he's cute, such as the way he reacts when Rosa decides to help him.

Then there's the romance between Jason and Rosa, And a few moments with Matt, I felt like it was well, . . that they sort of jumped in too fast, It's like jumping into a river, . . without checking the depth or width first,

What sets Changed from other books containing Archangels/Nephilim, other supernatural creatures, and forbiddan love, is the way Bell gives some regular, ordinary humans superpowers as well.
Usually you would find humans oblivious to what really goes on behind the scenes and their view is blocked by some sort of "mist, " It's refreshing to know that they aren't so oblivious and don't have to question any mysterious happenings, .
