Begin Your Journey With UnDiet: Eat Your Way To Vibrant Health Originated By Meghan Telpner In Electronic Format

is awesome. I took a cooking workshop with Meghan many years ago, and she has had a huge influence on my whole outlook on health and nutrition.
I am a vegetarian, and was when I met her, I thought I was eating healthy before, . . and quickly realized I had a long way to go  but not in a daunting annoying kind of way, In a wow, I had no idea that I've been so passive about what I have been putting in my body kind of way.
It was actually empowering. She's honest and nonjudgey, and will open your mind,

She doesn't necessarily back everything up with "science" or data, but to be perfectly honest, her approach resonates way more with me because of it.
A lot of it is straight up common sense, and listening to your intuition,

I've seen some negative comments here, and everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but I think they come from a place of resistance to change.
Meghan doesn't come out and say "you should do this or that", but she encourages you to make small changes, You don't need to drastically change your diet overnight, . . but make yourself AWARE. Learn about your food and what you put in your body, and start taking steps to do some common sense things like increase your water consumption, increase your fresh fruits/veg, get active, and reduce your toxic load!

Her writing style is witty and approachable, it's fun to read, and her recipes are always fantastic.

Afteryears of reading Meghan's material, I still base the majority of my cooking on recipes of hers,

Meghan, you inspire me, You've had the biggest influence on the health decisions that I make day to day,
Keep up the good work! I was not expecting a cheekyperky, often hilarious go green ribald lifestyle tome on eating gluten and processed food free.
It preached to the choir I'm gluten free and overyears food dye free, still, a few worthwhile nuggets were gleaned and I make Meghan's granola weekly tweaking with pecans v.
almonds super yummy. Also discovered some new alternatives to sugar, yes, the white power of death apparently, But I am digging sucanat, maple syrup and coconut sugars as healthier replacements in baked goods, Well worth the investment. Not a ton of recipes but the ones that are in there have been tasty so far, I was amazed at this woman's journey through her illness, Not sure I can adopt her food changes but it had several really good recipes that I have tried, I won this book from the giveaways section and just finished it last night, I'm interested in tips for changing your lifestyle but I found the author's "voice" to be extremely hard to swallow, I think she sounds like she is trying waaaay too hard to be relatable and "hip, " It just ends up sounding fake/forced and the writing made me feel sort of uncomfortable in an embarrassed for her sort of way.

I also found the message to be weirdly preachy even despite the author trying to write in a way that seems like we're best friends.
She speaks about how great water is and how we should be cutting back on nonwater drinks to drink more water but then in the same breath talks about how ice water is not good for you because it affects and changes your metabolism.
I think that the author exaggerated the claim and doesn't back it up with anything other than her sayso, as with a lot of other things in the book.
Drinking water room temp, hot, or cold is NEVER bad for you unless it's filled with bad things like arsenic, etc and drinking water of any kind in lieue of another beverage is always a good idea.

I think that it'd be wise to take her recommendations with a grain of salt and work on adapting your choices to fit your needs, much like any other lifestyle change book.
A lot of tips seemed like common sense to me drink more water, eat less sugar and more whole foods, The recipes looked good and I may try a couple, but overall this book was not the one for me, Reading this book gave me the push i needed to get back on track, Eating real food and caring about what we put in our mouths, . . I have read a lot of diet and health books in the past few years but I am guilty of rarely finishing them! I easily read UnDiet from start to finish in a couple of sittings at that! I have been a big fan of Meghan Telpner for several years and eagerly anticipated the arrival of her new book and hopefully not her last.
Meghans bright personality shines through the book, from the carefully selected quotes, to the candid and honest writing, to the colourful pictures scattered throughout.
She truly embodies her work and her authenticity is evident, In the books introduction she states: “There is no division between the work that I do and the life that I live”,

From the start, it is clear the book is truly about UnDieting! The goal is a vibrant and healthy life, not a number on the scale or a waist measurement though that may be a nice side effect.
This is a lifestyle change and an ongoing practice Meghan suggests similar to a yoga practice, UnDieting is not just about the food we eat, but how we feel during the day, the relationships we have, how we get our sweat on, and the work that we do.

Besides being colourful and visually appealing, UnDiet is also well organized! Broken up intochapters, each chapter tackles one aspect of the UnDiet lifestyle.
Facts are presented simply and to the point with ample evidence and reasoning i, e. we all know we shouldnt drink out of plastic water bottles, Meghan clearly explains why!. Each chapter is followed by a page that summarizes the chapters key points much like that of your high school chemistry textbook but way more exciting, and provides transitional tips and mantras to help you gradually UnDiet your life.

Welldone Meghan!
An excellent resource for anyone struggling to find their way back to good health, While most books will tell you what to eat, drink, and do to "be healthy", Meghan breaks it down and explains the why, One of the best books I've read that deals with all the health information available in a way that consumers can understand, UnDiet is a beautiful book with simple suggested actions that anyone can do, UnDiet is so much more than a diet or 'undiet', It's not just about the food, it's about lifestyle sleeping and moving and breathing and flossing and having a good bowel movement and exercising your creativity and bonding with nature and thinking positively.
The chapter about natural body care and home care is reason enough to buy the book, There's a chapter about environmental issues that begins with the story of a landfill, Of course our affect on the world around us reflects back at us, Most "diet" books aren't this inclusive,

Informative and honest, Ms, Telpner author acknowledges that you've got to listen to your intuition and decide what's best for you, She's there to guide you and give you information but you need to take from it what you need,

I read it on iPad before I got the paper version and as good as the screen resolution is, I've decided that UnDiet needs to be read on paper, in all its beauty.
The colours and the photos seem to pop off the page,
Practical guide on how to eat and live clean! Meghan uses a fun, playful tone which makes reading this book so enjoyable, A breathe of fresh air from all of those other diet books out there I plan on using it as my go to guide for cleaning eating.
Weird the way she is clearly writing to a female audience, It's not advertised that way at all, Good info that she expands from diet into other life choices, I liked all the tips the author gave, All the tips were very good and I'll be practicing them, I read all the recipes but I won't be trying them, This was a GoodReads giveaway winner,

I have to admit that it is really not my style of cooking, I only entered to give this away to a really good friend of mine, who has a need to adopt a gluten free lifestyle.
Her opinion of the recipes are very positive, It has increased her menu options, It was a GoodReads. Just start: Today is the day,

My Mom won this book on a goodreads giveaway, She read it and thought I might like it since, like the author, I have been diagnosed with Crohns, I decided to give it a try, Actually, the author was very informative, Not only did she speak of nutrition and give recipes, but she provided information with recipes for housecleaning products,

I tried three of the recipes and plan to try a few more, The Super Berry Fruit Crumble was really good even if my husband said it could use some cool whip,

Meghan Telpner really put a lot of effort and information in this book in a way that made it interesting which is really hard to do when it comes to nutrition.
Think she should try out for The Next Food Network Star teaching others how to prepare some of the meals as well as housecleaning products.

Being the type person who doesn't really read these type books, I recommend it as a give it a try read, I think you would find it as interesting as I did, Don't think Mom will get this book back, . . thanks Meghan and Mom! I found the author's slang rather endearing, although I'm sure her writing style isn't for everyone, For me it was inspiring,.
There's a lot of great information inside this
Begin Your Journey With UnDiet: Eat Your Way To Vibrant Health Originated By Meghan Telpner In Electronic Format
book, but like other reviewers, I don't care for her writing style/voice, It can great really annoying at times! Great information about whole food eating, reducing our impact on the planet, and taking care of ourselves naturally.
ugh. The writing style was grating, Disliked the structure of theweek plan, I would have been better off skipping to the recipes, It really was more like a compilation of blog posts, not the depth of a book, It is a good health philosophy with helpful tips and motivation, .
