Get It Now The Library Of Work And Play: Gardening And Farming. Written By Ellen Eddy Shaw Available Through Digital Edition
book about a boy's club where each of the kids tries to raise the nicest vegetables, Basically a book to interest children into gardening, The first part contains also the story about how the children are doing, second part is basically lectures with a very thin storyline.
I found it interesting to read because of the differences with today,
in tasks it's good if girls know how to cut the vegetables they've grown, since they will be the ones to cook or the materials the children are supposed to work with carbon disulfide works well against ants, but be careful since it is flammable.
This book is great! It was written for the benefit of a Boy's Gardening club, and the subsequent inclusion of the girls into their club.
Unlike many other gardening manuals, this one centers around a story, The children are trying to win an award for their gardening and farming skills, and show that anyone can learn to be a great gardener if they are willing to put in the time.
It only started to get a little slow at about Part II where it became primarily lecture.
Other than that, it's a great read that kept me riveted to the story, This book was converted from its physical edition to the digital format by a community of volunteers, You may find it for free on the web, Purchase of the Kindle edition includes wireless delivery, .
