Don't Tickle The Tiger by Ryan Cedar
Colorful children's rhyming book,
Starts with a table of contents and dedication page then individual chapters,
Each one is a poem that rhymes and has a color picture about what is being said.

Really cool, very unpredictable and at times sillyjust what we need!
Imagination is my favorite one, so simple but worth it.

I absolutely loved it, Very simple rhymes that make sense, I think that is why I struggle with poetry, I never can quite figure out what people are talking about.
I think this is kid appropriate, I am glad i read it, Please Don't Tickle the Tiger is a book full of children's poems, Some of the poems consist of Marshmallow Trees to Try Counting Peanuts, My favorite of all was Clowning Around, This poem was about how he tied a balloon to his toe just for fun, and how he kept adding more balloons to his toes until he had one on each toe.
At the end of the poem he states that there is only one problem now, that he is upside down.
I thought this poem was so silly and I know that this poem would put a smile on any child's face.
That is another thing I like about this book of poems, It shows children that poems can be fun, Ever so often you hear about children and even adults that aren't fans of poems, but if they were exposed to different and fun kinds of poems, maybe that would change their minds about poems.
I would read this book of poems aloud to my future kindergarten through second grade students, I think that this would open a new kind of poetry to them and I think that even the ones that already aren't fans of poetry, this might make them change their minds.
I also think that after reading this book aloud to them, I could have the students try to write their own silly and funny poem about anything they wanted.
I think that after hearing this book they would have many ideas in their heads and ready to use their imagination.
I would definitely have this book in future classroom library for the students to have access to at all times.
I really appreciate the illustrations in this book that show what they poems are saying, There is nice portraying of the poems in the illustrations, The use of imagination is not only clear in the poems, but the illustrations also, I really enjoyed this book of poems, Good

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading amp reviewing free books from publishers amp authors.
Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one,

An awesome book cover, amp proper font amp writing style, very professionally written childrens MS age educational short story book, It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish amp never a dull moment, There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences, Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns amp a great set of unique characters, settings, etc, to keep track of. This could also make another great childrens educational movie, a classroom presentation, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series.
There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating ofstars,

love love love! great poems for kids! This is a collection of simple and short poems that cover everything from the “Marshmallow Tree”, one of my favorites, to why it is important not to tickle tigers.
These are fun, simple rhyming poems, If read to a child without the illustrations they have enough vivid language for the child to create their own mental picture.
This is a book I want to use in my poetry unit next year at school,
I received a copy to facilitate my review, The opinions expressed here are my own,
a marshmallow tree what! great illustrations, great book cover. The poems are wonderful, and they made me chuckle, Hard to choose my favorite but one of them was:

I Scream for Pancakes

I'm screamin' for pancakes,
I'm shoutin' for eggs
And I'm yellin' while smellin' my toast.

But I am shakin' for the bacon
That you started makin'
'Cause that is the one I love most.

Unfortunately the formatting for the cloud reader kept the images on separate pages from the book.
That really got in the way, For some odd reason, when a word starts with fi as in find or fish the letters aren't there.
I am not sure what was wrong,

UPDATE: I received a note from the author that the formatting has been fixed.
Same ASIN. New format cannot be used with the Cloud Reader so I can't verify but if it has, it is worth checking out.
Would like to see it in print too, Fun book to read with your kids! Delightful! The brightly colored illustrations fit each of the cute poems perfectly.
Not only did it make me smile, but my coworkers were grinning after I read the balloon poem to them! It is one of those books that lift the spirits and appeal to our 'inner kid'.

Am glad this author took the leap and put this book into print, First ran across this cute book of cheerful poetry through an Amazon free ebook program where the technology got grouchy.
The author and illustrator persevered and it is definitely a book they can be proud of, My opinions are my own although the first copy was gifted by the author, I opted to purchase more to put in libraries to share the fun,

I love a good story: on the big screen, in a good book, or told by a close friend.
I spend far too much time at my computer and far too little at the beachwhich is only an hour and a half away.
