it was short but a nice addition to the series, Rico and Eros are sweet, The focus was on being yourself and believing in yourself, Not sex. And yes lots of Shane!! I actually liked this addition to the series, Cute Short story Young, weak, abused, underappreciated sub Check,
Big, strong, dangerous, misunderstood Alpha Check,
Instalove Check.
Alpha helps sub realise his true awesomeness/Sub helps Alpha find his soft, squishy side Check,
Formula sex with the obligatory 'Mine' thrown in Check,
Injury/kidnapping/insertreasontopubliclydeclarelovehere Check,
Sub grows a pair and, with his hero by his side, flips off the haters Check,
Blissful cohabitation Check.
This is the last published book in this series and I feel like I've already read ittimes.
Why am I continuing to do this to myself
When you're at bookin a series they storylines get predictable.
But this one was cute amp I liked Eros, So of course I'll continue reading these as long as she's writing them! I really liked Rico and Eros! I also liked how Eros stood up for himself at the end there and Rico "whatever my mate wants".
HA! A great addition to the series with the added bonus of appearances from Shane, everyone's favorite assassin, This review is for all of the Lost Shifters, Wayne County Wolves, and Assassin's Loyalty books since they are all interconnected and I read them backtoback pretty much nonstop over aday period.
If I have anything to say about a particular book I'll add it under this bulk review, First, I'd like to mention these are more like novellas than books but they have the same underlying theme and pretty much continue where the last left off but with a different couple.
Everything starts out with the Lost Shifters, To summarize there was a war between the feline shifters and the raven shifters, years or so before the first book there was an all out slaughter in which hundreds of feline homes were attacked and burned down all of the occupants believed to be killed.
Turns out that the babies and toddlers that were assumed lost were not, They were hidden within the human foster care system for the most part, I won't say how because that'd be a big spoiler, In addition to foster care some kids were sold into slavery and that's where the whole assassin thing comes in.
A couple of the main characters marry into the wolf pack so that's where those books come in
as well.
Pros: Since the books are so short there are no long drawn out boring details or general angst.
There's usually only one sex scene although it's normally long as hell, Which makes the fact some people shelved these as erotica confusing, I liked the world building and even though there were times I think a little more info might have been nice it never detracted from the story or left me confused.
Most of the relationships were a sort of love at first sight thing, Or maybe lust or obsession Despite this the shifters all seem adamant that's not a thing that happens, There wasn't one character I didn't like, My favorite character was Shane and he must have been the author's as well since he got a few extra books and a side series Shane's Chronicles.
There's no big end battle or anything but the last book Baily'sth Life does pretty much tie things up nicely.
I think if I'd been reading the series when they were released I'd be a bit miffed because that book didn't come out until a few years later if you weren't reading the assassins books.
Also, these books all have some really funny moments and/or dialog,
Cons: The last several books didn't appear to have been edited at all, If if wasn't for the fact that I was so invested in the overall story arc I would have quit reading them.
Things like sent instead of scent and too instead of to they instead of them and random wrong words completely.
There were also a couple of times that things were said/thought almost verbatim in different parts of a book as if the author forgot she'd already put that info in there already.
At the start of the series, they state that all feline shifters are bisexual but at some point the author must have forgotten that detail because suddenly there are gay shifters and homophobia and all this hate.
Which brings me to my next con, the themes of the different books started to repeat, Suddenly all these shifters had been thrown out of their previous pack or coalition or human home for being gay.
And throughout this huge series of books there was only one straight couple, Like not even a straight friend or whatever, Even the females were all lesbians, It was just kinda unrealistic especially with the whole gay hate thing going on, Usually there's at least a few couples or friends or something on the periphery in gay romances especially in a world this huge.
Which brings me to my final con, I had a hard time remembering who was who and what there story was after awhile especially if they weren't mentioned much in previous books.
I wish there had been some sort of glossary to review,
Despite the cons, I would still recommend these books, Allinall I really enjoyed them and was dreading the end although the editing in the last few books really had me also looking forward to the end if I'm being honest.
Sure it's another assassin story, But I found Rico not to be a gentler version of Shane, . well in a way he IS you can't get around that being an assassin, But he doesn't seem to enjoy it, He even took an easy way out to kill his master, And he didn't grow up with the same prejudges against Lynx, I thought it was cute, books are getting shorter and shorter, HOT and Adorable
What to say, . .
I liked it, Eros was so cute and funny, and Rico was so good to him, I think thisstory should be continued.
Was expecting much more going off of the summary,
It seemed that they just glided into the relationship too easy, avg For those familiar with the series and author, there's nothing surprising here, Just your typical addition to the series, Nothing horrible, yet not mindblowing either, I have a soft spot for the assassins at the feline coalition, How can I not when Shane is my very favorite psychotic, crazy leopard shifter and assassin on the planet But, 'Assassin Found', the twentyninth book in the 'Lost Shifters' series, is about Rico.
Now, Rico is another assassin I can love! grins And why not He's super hot, a tiger shifter, a loner with a snarky 'tude and some serious skills.
Well, and Shane vouches for him,
Life as a freelance assassin has gotten a little too hot for Rico lately, so he answers the call Shane put out for killers.
Rico is more than a little surprised by the feline coalition as it's definitely not what he expected it to be.
Meeting Eros, a young, sexy lynx who works in the infirmary, just puts a big bow on Rico's decision to join the coalition.
Eros just knows that Rico won't ever look at him twice, None of the felines have anything good to say about the lynx, What use is an animal who is only slightly larger than a house cat Rico has his work cut out for him convincing Eros that he wants him, permanently.
I totally and completely fell for Eros, He just wormed his way into my heart and Rico's, I loved seeing him finally acknowledging his worth, not just to the coalition, but to himself, as well, This was a great addition to the series and Rico is a match with Shane in their snarky, killing manner.
Excellent. I needed another assassin to love,
NOTE: This book was provided by CampJ Publishing for the purpose of a review on sitelinkRainbow Book s Lost shifters
The Assassins from this series are some of my favourite misunderstood characters and I just love seeing them find the men who will see what lies under the cloak Rico

Sometimes, you have to go back home in order to find your future, no matter how painful your past may be.
Raised by a cruel master, Tiger shifter Rico now works as a freelance assassin, Hes just drifting around with no real home when he hears that Mitchells coalition is looking for assassins, Left with no real options, Rico decides to see what the coalition has to offer,
Eros is just a Lynx shifter and has never found a place in the coalition, Since hes so small, he cant be a soldier, and that makes him feel like hes inadequate, Then one day he meets the new assassin, and Eros feels an instant attraction,
Will Rico be able to see past the Lynx and recognize the real man behind Or is Eros doomed to be alone forever
This story is about Eros, a lynx shifter who work in the infirmary, and Rico, a tiger shifter who is an assassin.
Rico is looking for a place to find shelter, cause he piss to many people and other assassin are after him so he decided to find a safe haven.
Which happen to be Mitchell coalition for he heard that is the perfect place and also they are in need of assassin which bring him facetoface with Shane, fangirl moment, to see if he has what it takes to be apart of his team.
At the same time Eros is having a hard time because he is a lynx which is at the bottom of the feline line, cause they see them more as house cat then wild feline and because of that he is always put down.
Until he meet Rico and know that this might be the one for him but is not to sure that Rico would want a lynx for a mate.
Will they be together or will prejudice keep them apart,
I like the story but I feel that it was lacking, The action was too short, the romance was sappy but fast, and I feel that Rico would be more of a solider then assassin.
Cause compare to Shane, which I was so happy when he play a part of this story, he has nothing on him beside skill but other then that I don't see him assassin material.
As for Eros he was cute and sweet and I understand his selfesteem problem but I feel that he character could be more but I'll leave it at that.
This book gets abecause it was to short for my taste and not enough character development as well as the couple being more in deep with each other like some of the other story.
