Capture Wynter's Journey Fabricated By Jennifer DeCuir Available In EPub
written Wynter surprises her old friend Sam by turning up at his house pregnant, Sam seems to take it in stride and doesn't kick her out, They are both dealing with guilt over things in their pasts, The next door neighbor, Riley, is really a hoot, Wynter ignores Sam's moods and they grow close again over the baby, These two were best friends that grew apart and are now getting a chance to know each other again, This was another enjoyable book by Jennifer DeCuir! I received an audiobook copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, What follows is that opinion,
I dont often read contemporary romances, as I find them somewhat limited in the imagination department and my nitpicky inner critic likes to call shenanigans on the goingson.
But the description of “Wynters Journey” sounded different and sweet, and I decided to give it a shot especially since it wasnt too long, as audiobooks go.
I ended up LOVING it!
Wynter and Sam have painful history in which too much was left unsaid and undone.
That pain could so easily have become the focus of their story, and then we would have had another angsty sighfest to add to the already in my opinion overburdened collection of the same.
But in spite of the past, the overall tone of this book was hopeful, Their rekindled romance was believable, as was their initial resistance to it and each other, Both characters displayed an amazing amount of depth, realism, and complexity, and even when I wanted to reach in and shake them, I understood why they did/felt what they did.
Sam was hilarious and I found myself grinning and laughing out loud more than once, His comment about how delivering Wynters baby was not the way he imagined seeing his best friends hooha for the first time made me choke on my coffee.
There are men in my life who would totally say something like that! Wynter was cute and stubborn without being obnoxious, and my heart really went out to her at times.
Shes the kind of person I could see myself being friends with in real life, I also really liked Rileyno matter how prickly and standoffish he could be, His and Sams report was awesome, and they bantered just like bros,
In addition to wonderful, relatable
characters, the plot was wellexecuted, It didnt follow the tropey, bland, wornout lines that Ive found in so many contemporary romances, Sorry, can you tell Im a little jaded on the genre The sex scenes were actually sexy, rather than just graphic for the sake of graphicness, and conveyed the depth of feeling between Sam and Wynter.
And the sheer wonder of Sam holding baby Charlette as she came into the world was beautiful and Ms, DeCuir brought us into it perfectly, Allinall, “Wynters Journey” was surprisingly fresh and it makes me wonder about the other Scallop Shores novels, Ill likely be giving them a try in the near future!
Ms, de Cuir Are they related I should have checked was the perfect narrator for this, She voiced the characters in such a way that their feelings and identities were clear without being overthetop, Her tone and pace were spoton and I thought she really captured the heart of the story, The audio was high quality, clean, and professional, and I didnt notice any weird background noises, awkward pauses, or clipped words to indicate audio splicing.
The audio and narration were just as flawless as the story itself,
Bottom line: This is the first book Ive read by Jennifer DeCuir, but it certainly won't be my last! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a beautiful love story and those who believe the universe really does give us second chances.

I would like to say this was a beautiful romance, but that would be selling this story short, I found this a beautiful story about love, loss, life and choices, Jennifer DeCuir has made this a beautiful read that has me wanting to find the other books of this series,
Narrator review of WYNTERS JOURNEY Scallop Shores,, . . I found that Gabrielle did a wonderful job narrating this beautiful journey of life for both Wynter and Sam, She made the inflection perfectly, She gave a unique tone and intonation to the different characters, I had no problem distinguishing between the different characters, The ebb and flow of the narration made the read just go by with little effort, I began the read and then it was over, The quality of the audio stood up to increase in narration speed and volume, I found not glitches in the audio, which made me very happy, The background sounds were nonexistence for me, I found the ease of the laughter, the sorry, the relief was alluring, Gabrielle brought to life a book that made me stand up and take notice of a new author to my readingdom,
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions, The tour is being sponsored by Jennifer DeCuir, The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it,

Good characters but trying to figure out when his parent's died, when he left UCLA and when he visited his sister with a newborn unfortunately got in the way of a good story.
I also like Riley and would love a story about the grandmother and the start of the Book Nook, I enjoyed is story very much, Wynter comes to her friends Sams home to have her baby and start her
I've over after losing her husband, Sam feels guilty because he has always loved her and never told her and fled heir relationship, after tragedy strikes him, They grow together and raise the baby , but lies tear them apart, Loved it. Wynter, Sam and HUGH were a high school three some, They were friends and planned to go to UCLA together, Sam's parents died in bed from a faulty furnace while he was visiting Wynter, Her parents were strict and controlling and Sam had climbed in her window to talk with her, He feel asleep but got home before dawn only to find his parents dead, He did not go to LA but got an online degree and moved to Vermont, Wynter and Hugh were married and HUGH tried his hand at acting while Wynter worked to support him, Finally after eight years the decided to have a child, Hugh died of a heart attack when she wasmonths pregnant,
Later, eight months pregnant, Wynter wanted to return to her hometown in Maine but she needed a safe place to have her baby.
Sam. He had promised that if she ever needed anything he would help her,
Afteryears, Shannon found his address and with her last money got a cab to deliver her to a remote farmhouse in a small town in Vermont.
Heavy with child in freezing weather she knocked on his door only to find no one at home, Asleep and cold on the porch is where Sam found her when he got home, The only thing he could think of was how to get rid of her,
Sam suffered survivor guilt, He had gone to Wynter that night to tell her of his feelings of love for her but fell asleep before he got the words out.
After finding his parents dead he could no longer deal with his family, Sam was into computers and move to remote Vermont and made quite a bit of money in computer games working from home, He had a handicapped veteran across the street that he was friends with but he was pretty much shut down on relationships, Sam had never even had a woman, That was something he had wanted to have with Wynter the first time and that never happened so his life just stopped,
Here she was and she needed help, Sam could not deny her, Not a bad lil chick lit story, but the ending was super abrupt, I found it completely unbelievable that Sam just suddenly was able to "get over" all his issues and everything was going to be hunky dory.
An emotional and heartwarming romance!
Wynters Journey was an emotional enlightening wellwritten story, There was so much that was happening that it formed a believable plot, There just enough action romance to keep my interest piqued, I didnt want to put the book down once I started reading it, The characters were well developed and relatable, This story shows you that guilt can keep you from happiness and only forgiving yourself can lead you to living a happy life.
I really enjoyed the book and will definitely be checking out the other books in the series, which I have not read yet.
Gabrielle DeCuir did a good job with the narration, She had a clear and crisp voice that was easy to follow, She did a great job with the voice inflections and really getting the emotions to show throughout the story,
This is the first book that I have read by Jennifer DeCuir and will certainly not be my last, I recommend Wynters Journey to anyone that enjoys reading an emotional and heartwarming romance that will have you believing in love,
A lovely book that starts with the friendship between Wynter and Sam, a friendship put on hold because of a tragedy that affected not only Sam, but his relationship with the only girl hes ever loved.
After twelve years apart, Wynter needs his help, after losing her husband and waiting to deliver her baby girl, It is a story about second chances in love and life, about working towards achieving ones dreams and finding strength within,
The characters are very likeable and believable, There is nothing extraordinary about them, just two friends, trying to catch up on lost time, When Wynter comes looking for Sam in hope of not having to go back to her overprotective parents, Sams life and heart is turned upside down.
He has never forgotten his friend from back home, the girl whose heart he was hoping to win someday, However, he never expected her to come looking for him after so many years and pregnant, Maybe life just wants to give him a second chance, Now all he has to do is overcome his guilt and fears, Easier said than done
The title has Wynters name, suggesting the story is more about her life, not Sams, A widow at a very young age, she comes looking for support in her best friend, I liked her strength and determination to make it on her own, to raise her child on her own, However, comparing her life with Sams, I think he was much more entitled to have his name on the cover, She was selfish at times, especially not thinking too much about his reasons for staying away, I was not very confortable towards the end, where she is much more willing to accomplish her dreams, not theirs,
The narration was good, Gabrielle de Cuir did a nice job telling Wynters story, There were moments where her voice was a little raised, when in reality I dont think it was necessary, But other than that, I really liked her!
All that said, this book was an amazing read and it really lifted my spirits a little.
It is never too late to have the life you want, you just have to keep it clear in your mind where youd like to go and who you want to become.
This is my favorite book by Jennifer, This book didn't read like a romance for me, Instead, it was a beautiful story about how Wynter found herself, and finding love was secondary,
Wynter finds herself alone and pregnant, with no one to turn to, No one except her high school best friend, Sam, As teenagers, everyone knew Wynter and Sam would end up together, but circumstances kept them apart,
When Wynter has no one else to help, she goes to Sam, Although still wounded from her leaving, Sam agrees to help her,
Wynter has to learn to rely on Sam while she finds herself, This isn't an easy situation, but the author made it seem natural, Only after Wynter discovers who she really is does she let herself fall in love,
