loved the avengers but this one was not one of my favorites, This plot is really silly, even for the Avengers, Cathy Gale and Emma Peel are best remembered as John Steed's companions, but Tara King comes through in this short novel as a strong character in her own right.
She almost steals the show from Steed, who's been saddled with an incredible fortune stolen from none other than Mao TseTung, It's a quick and clever read, and captures the feel of the show and what I imagine London was like in the late 's quite well, Zo leutig. Superagent John Steed
goes to Hong Kong to pick up a suitcase filled with valuable papers, Steed is in Hong Kong less than an hour when he's knocked unconscious, and the contents of the case are mysteriously swithced to a hugh sum of money!
Back goes Steed to London.
There, he and Tara King set to work baiting a trap for the owners of the fantastic fortune foisted off on him a trap that almost snaps shut on The Avengers themselves!
