really enjoyed this book! It is a feel good story, . . the characters are honest and truly endearing, I fell in love with Jack and in all honesty, . . I loved his father! Such a fun storyline! I only wanted her to figure out sooner what a jerk David was! Totally sucked me in! Enjoy! I got an early reader copy of this book amp said I'd give an honest review.
I really loved this book,

The characters were well rounded, had real foibles like all of us and best of all, made me wish I knew them in real life.

Sabrina and Jack make a fun couple even though it's supposed to be a fake relationship, Sabrina and David, not so much, I didn't care for David, but that's not a bad thing, he isn't supposed to be the greatest guy ever.
Jack's dad was great!

If you want a fun read, something that will make you smile and laugh out loud in places which I did, then read this book.
I've already recommended it to several people, I received this ARC from Cameron Yeager at Entangled Publishing in exchange for a honest review,

I absolutely loved this book, It was lighthearted, witty, charming, engaging, and at times had me smirking at the banter between the hero and the heroine.

My Thoughts: I liked how the hero and heroine's relationship developed gradually over time, Both of their feelings and opinions about one another gradually changed during the course of the book, They both were astonished when they finally realized they were in love, I liked how they did not jump into bed right away, Anyone who reads my reviews knows that is a pet peeve for me,

The Hero: The hero is described as a lovable, charming playboy, I liked him from the first to the last page of the book, He never came across as a jerk to me, I felt he had underlying feelings for the heroine and was not able to deal with said feelings so he teased and taunted her.
I love when playboys meet the right woman and give up their ways, He was perceptive in that he saw right through the heroine's sleaze of a fiancé, He also was protective and had the heroines best interests at heart, The hero never took undue advantage of the heroine because of their pretend arrangement,

The Heroine: She had a difficult childhood, Her parents was killed in a car crash and so she was raised in numerous foster homes, She eventually learned to close off her heart, She desired above all stability and security in a relationship, Her fiancé gives her that, but nothing else, I felt she had no connection with him and overlooked his faults,

The Story: Sabrina Cassidyheroine and her friend Maddie are visiting Madame Butterfly a psychic, Sabrina and her fiancé Davida doctor have recently agreed to a temporary break, David supposedly needs to figure some things out, The psychic says she sees a man in a white coat so Sabrina assumes that means she and David will get back together someday.
After the psychic reading, Sabrina and Maddie head to a local bar and while they are there they see David with another woman.
Sabrina makes excuses for him while her friend tells her she should date someone else, Maddie picks up a magazine and there is an article with the title "New England's Most Eligible Bachelors", She points out Jack Brenner, Sabrina tells her he is a playboy and her boss's son, She reiterates that she can't stand him,

Jack Brennerhero has transferred back to Boston, Jack thinks his father is going to promote him to the National Sales Manager position that recently opened up, Jack meets with his father and is disappointed when his father tells him that is not the reason he was transferred.
His father says he needs to mature and settle down, Some in the company are concerned that his reputation will harm the company, It is then that Jack realizes that he needs to mend his ways and change people's opinions of him,

When Sabrina arrives at work, she is informed that now she will be working with Jack, Not exactly what she wants, but she has no choice in the matter, Later that same day, she goes to get coffee and sees David with the same woman from the bar, Jack comes upon her and comforts her, She is a little perplexed by his behavior, Jack tells her he has a solution to her problem, Jack need a fake girlfriend and Sabrina needs someone to make David jealous, On the surface, it seems like a winwin situation for both of them, They both learn that fate has other plans,

The rest of the book is a gradual evolution of their relationship leading to a HEA,

Overall, I would recommend this contemporary romance to anyone who loves when a hero is brought to his knees by the heroine.

I think this book was supposed to be cute, but to me any book that evokes feelings of pity for the heroine aren't that great IMO.
I am all for clueless, adorable heroine, but this one just seemed deluded and kind of sad, The heroine was a product of the foster care system and wants a family bad, So when her fiancee who she has been with foryears asks for a break, she is happy to but still builds air castles of their future.
She is deluded, and thinks they are fated, even when he seems to be out with someone else, ignores her.
All of this makes her look like an insecure, spineless ninny, The hero is of course a playboy who suddenly in the end is love with her, But how and why Overall when a book makes a heroine a pitiable creature, I cannot enjoy it, Once again, Jennifer doesn't disappoint,

Sabrina has just been told by her fiance that he wants some space, She goes with her friend to a fortune teller, desperate for some direction in her life, She's assured that they will get back together so she determines that she'll do whatever she can to get back together with David.
Even agree to pretend to date her work enemy, Jake, the resident playboy, Jack needs to look more settled down to his dad, the CEO of the company to obtain a promotion, so wants goodgirl Sabrina to be on his arm.
Little does Sabrina realise how quickly her hate for Jack will soon turn to love and little does Jack realise how high his propensity for love actually is.
The sparks fly and I love the sparring dialogue between Jack and Sabrina,

This is a beautiful take on the fake engagement trope, The story was gripping, flowed fast and kept me reading when I should have been working,

The characters were lovely I love the opposites attract scenario, although also, the character arc of the hero was deep and touching.
He was

gorgeous and very alpha yet not in a hard alpha kind of way just the right touch of alpha, tease and kindness.
I love a man who can tease,

Although we know it will be a happy ending in the end as category romances are, I enjoyed the twists and turns that kept me on my seat to get there.

Jennifer is still one of my favourite romance writers, I've been on a chicklit kick lately, and this is a fun one!

Sabrina Cassidy is sure that stable, familyoriented, handsome and kind David is her destiny.
He was her fiance until he decided he needed a temporary break, Her parents died when she was young and she was raised in different foster homes never feeling like she belonged.
So she really craves a family of her own, and is willing to do just about anything to get her fiance back.

Jack Brenner is passionate about his family and his father's company, Brenner Capital Investments, So when his dad tells him he can't have the promotion to National Sales Manger until he shows the stockholders that he can maintain a serious relationship, he decides to do whatever it takes to show them.

Sabrina thinks Jack is heartless and arrogant Jack thinks Sabrina is too high strung and always thinks she's right.
. . But he can help her get her fiance back and she can help him get the promotion, And now they're partners at work so they may as well get along anyway!

I loved what happens when Jack opens his heart and Sabrina sees him for who he really is.
Sabrina learns that it's more important to listen to your heart than to superstitions, . . and when she is with him and his family she discovers what family really is! jack and Sabrina are fun together!

I would classify this steamy clean.
. . It is clean, but not for anyone uncomfortable with innuendo and a few passionate kisses and swearing,

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review, Fiancé by Fate is a must read by Jennifer Shirk, Sabrina Cassidy believes she met her fiance by fate, When he wants to take a break she feel fate will bring them back together, Fate doesn't seem to be on her side, Jack Brenner is trying to show is father he ready to start working on his future as head of the family business.
Jack's father tells him he needs to turn things around in his life before he will get him prepared to take over the family business.

This was story of two people who are looking for different things in life needing each others help to find it.
The story had me swooning,

I love Sabrina, In the story you can't help for Sabrina to find happiness, At first look you might not like Jack but he truly a great man at heart, I loved watching this character as they realize what they try want,

I had a hard time putting this book down, I found the story to be well written, As read I couldn't wait to see what would happen next,
