Porno Trash
The author is obviously trying to be the next Fifty Shades of Grey bestseller, I don't know if she'll succeed, Though I am ashamed to admit that I read the entire first book of Grey, mainly at the urging of a friend who LOVED it, I still haven't figured out why that book was so wildly popular.
This book turned out to be better than I expected, because about twothirds through it she revived the plot, rather interestingly, Just in time. I had grown so weary plodding through the interminable kinky sex scenes, I was ready to give up, SPOILER ALERT. Early in the book, when the heroine's BFF, Val, remarked that Nicole, a sweet, nerdish character, seemed "creepy," in contrast to her groupielike enthusiasm for Rhys, the ninth sexiest bachelor ranked by People Magazine, despite his callous and contemptuous treatment of Lucy be sure to call me right away, and don't leave out any details!, my reaction was that either Val needs an attitude rearrangement or Lucy needs a new BFF.
Meanwhile, my mind was wondering in the background whether this was a hamhanded attempt by the author to suggest that sweet Nicole was actually the villain after all.
So when the plot belatedly resumed, I was curious to see if my suspicion was correct, Ultimately Lucy comes off as a shallow, spineless twit, and though Rhys is a more interesting character, I couldn't bring myself to care enough about them to spend money
on the next book.
. . or anything else by this author, I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review,
I really enjoyed this book it intrigued me and made me laugh, The heroine Lucy or Tuesday does not believe her scientist father killed himself so she sets out to find the truth, She stalks handsome billionaire Rhys Carlyle and ends up entangled in his game,
She battles with her feelings towards him not knowing if he is behind the death of her father whilst falling for his seduction techniques.
I liked her as a character both showing her vulnerability and confidence, She faced her fears and conquered her insecurities,
Rhys I felt could have been more detailed as a character, I wanted to know more about his background and previous relationships,
The story also ended quite abruptly leaving questions in relation to her fathers death and the status of the relationship, I felt this could have been explored more thoroughly,
I did enjoy this and would recommend it to others,
Thanks for the opportunity to read! There are all kinds of games,
Lucy Flannigan is in her last year of music school when she gets a call saying her brilliant inventor father has died, The police say it was suicide, Her gut says it was murder,
Exhilarating games.
Rhys Carlyle is a player in every sense of the word, He's built the fastest growing gaming company in the world, and he's not done yet, Ruthlessly ambitious, he has an insatiable appetite for power and beauty and he lets nothing stand between him and what he wants, When Lucy saves him from a freak plot on his life, Rhys decides that what he wants is her,
Dangerous games.
Lucy suspects Rhys holds the key to the mystery of her father's death but to unlock it, shell have to play his games, What begins as a quest for the truth quickly becomes something more much more, Lucy is soon out of her comfort zone, out of her depth, . .
Reckless games.
and intoxicated by a heady mix of desire, pleasure and fear, By the time Lucy learns the explosive truth, it's not just her heart that hangs in the balance, it's her life,
There are all kinds of games, but they all end the same way: Game over, I wasn't sure what to expect from Reckless Games and I have to say, it really surprised me and captured my undivided attention from the beginning.
Lucy Flannigan, aka Tuesday Granite, is on a mission to find out the truth behind her father's death, In her heart she really believes that he was murdered, but everyone else says he committed suicide, Lucy has put her life on hold since his death, feeling she really has nothing left to live for,
My heart truly went out to her, Lucy thinks she has figured out who has the answers she seeks Rhys Carlyle, a billionaire gamer playboy, whose every move she has been "stalking" so she can get close to him and confront him.
Oh Rhys! He's a damaged soul, trying to forget his past and seeking comfort wherever he may get it especially from married woman.
Because of that Lucy comes to his "rescue" and is able to save his life and from there the "games" begin,
There is plenty of humor in how Lucy handles Rhys, especially when she starts getting feisty with him!! Rhys challenges her in every way as well, and the sexual tension Wow, let me just say that it was dripping! I thought I had it figured out and knew who was responsible, but I was wrong.
And when I did found out, I was left with my mouth open!
Reckless Games had a lot of humor, passion, mystery and suspense, and the sexwell, that was sizzling.
It certainly did not disappoint! Can't wait for what M, J. Lowell has in stored for us next, Kara, stars
.
Well, well, this was a nice surprise, . . For a first book, not bad, Ms, Lowell, not bad
Firstly, I just noticed that this fell under romance and suspense here on GR as of time of writing, I think it needs to be updated, This was categorized as erotica on Netgalley, as it should be, I thought, given some of the scenes, and perhaps a small disclaimer since there was a scene .
Maybe
The story itself, I saw a small trace of FSoG and other better known books in this subgenre, but I think Ms.
Lowell did manage to weave a different story to make it fresh, It's got enough of a nice twist to it, making you wonder what everyone's deal is, although your guess will probably be right in the end.
For me, both Hamph have enough dimension to them, How I know that is because the h made decisions that I didn't agree with yet she didn't annoy me, which means I understood her.
And the H, well, he is hawt! LOL
The flow of conversation went smoothly, whether b/w Hamph or b/w the MCs and secondary characters.
And speaking of secondary characters, they have just as much personality to make you remember them, which I appreciate, The narrative did feel jumpy at times, Oh, and the formatting was off in some pages, not sure why,
Lastly, I agree with other reviews out there when they said that the events felt rushed by the end and that the ending itself, which is , was too abrupt.
It would've been nice to have gotten more/better answers to some things, and there were a lot of unanswered questions so if this is a series, it may have been nice to be advised as such.
And if that's the case, I would totally read it,
Again, given that this is Ms, Lowell's first book, I say not bad at all, I can see the potential and hopefully, Ms, Lowell will only improve from here on, . . And on an unrelated side, reading Ms, Lowell's bio, I say you can't go wrong with a gal who likes Pitch Perfect

This book had my head spinning, what an interesting plot.
Having Lucy trying to find what happened to her father and the only clue she's got is Rhys the richest man in the video game world.
What she didn't expected is that she would have to play his game, in order to find out what really happened, but attraction came in the way.
On the other hand, Rhys never thought he would meet Lucy and find out that he really wanted her,
The plot is quite interesting, I felt the ending a bit rushed and would've love to read more about it, I think everyone will enjoy this book if they are into mystery as I am,
Will be looking forward for more of M, J. Lowell books in the future,
I received it in exchange of an honest review!
I laughed a real belly laugh in the first two pages, and that's how i knew i was going to have a blast! Well written, with a very creative story, characters that are deep, emotional, funny, sexy, charismatic, witty and loyal, with plots and twists that make your head turn, this book will be impossible to put down!!! I really was impressed with the writing skills of M.
J. lowell, the heat and sexiness of the romance side of the book was spot on, and the thrilling, ploting, suspense and mystery building, were smooth but intense, exposed but devious, keeping you on your toes and breathless, worthy of an experienced action writter!! My only bad point was the end! Too abrupt, cut too short! There is so much more to know!!!! What happened to Nico What is Marina after How did she get the clothes Where was he What happened to Joff No, no, no.
. . I really hope there is a sequel!!!! If no i demand one! This story has too much potential to finish like this! So while i wait for a sequel i can only say this book is an amazing read, that will please romance and alpha lovers as much as mystery solvers!!! Two thumbs up high in the air!!!!!.
