Grab Dante (Filthy Marcellos #3) Constructed By Bethany-Kris Edition

good marriage of convenience read!

Pretty darn good, Marriage of convenience between a future mob boss and a Queen pin, I of course loved this story, Mob stuff and a queen pin with secrets, What more could I ask for Its a bit of a slow burn and the tension isnt crazy high, as a lot happens off book, but this still a good story.
we love a powerful couple lt,Capo di tutti capi

yeah, i've finished it, . . I'm the last of my Mafluts to finish with Dante's story, . . sorry gals! LOL

review to come, . . real soon! and here it is!

This was the final story in the Filthy Marcellos series and it was about Dante the mafia heir, the third Marcello brother.
His story brought the final closure to all of their lives, . .
the three of them, the filthy Marcellos, they stirred things up, made them buzz and rattle, . .
boy, was this the prime time of my life while reading about those three brothers, or what

Well, it was.
I had a blast, enjoying the world so much foreign to MY real world and only could I imagine what that part of life really could look like well, BethanyKris gave me that and so much more! She writes like she's living it and while doing that she's bringing me along for the ride.
I've never felt so much a part of some fictional story and felt drawn and connected to its characters then through out these three stories, well, to be honest with one character a little bit more than with the other two.
. .
LOL, and well who ever read my reviews, knows who I'm talking about!

But now, this is about, . .
Dante Marcello

Anyway, Dante is the one to step up as a Don and needs to fullfill all the rules that Cosa Nostra conducts one of them being properly wed by the age ofand to have a full blood Itallian wife by his side but unfortunately there are no candidates in his sight nor he's looking for them.
He's reluctant cause he's formed a life by his own standards, he's become a man according to his own plans and visions and he felt no need to change that.

“A woman isnt going to make me a better boss, ”
“But she might make you a better man, Dante, And I bet thats what youre most afraid of, ”

But that all changes when the course of events sets him in an encounter with the most dangerous spieces of them all beautiful, smart, resourceful, lethal and dangerous business woman Catrina Danzi /Cat also known as Queen a Queen Pin, a ghost provider of the white substance in the crime world meddling with

the line of Dante's covered territoy.

A woman with an agenda and the strength and enough balls to stand up and demand for it.

Catrina Danzi the QUEEN

Yeah, that little girl from the Sicilian village sure came a long fucking way from where she started.

Men were her pawns and she was Queen, She moved them as she saw fit, not the other way around,

“Im a woman, but I wouldnt go so far as calling myself a lady, Dante.

She makes him a deal, proposes an agreement that would benefit them both

“A good match, huh Youve made me want to kill you twice now.

Cat appreciated his honesty, “I have many effects on men, That is only one of them, ”

“We run this city, You might have been a queen before, but I gave you the keys to the kingdom today,

no need for any other sort of connection, no attachments, no sentimentswell, or so they thought.
. .

People like us, were not supposed to feel, We dont get attached. It ruins us. Together, well be the perfect pair, Together, we have nothing to lose,

They try to avoid any closness, but the attraction is visible and palpable and they cant deny it for much longer

“I want you to do it again.

“Do what, Catrina”
“Kiss me, I want you to do it again and I dont want you to stop, ”

so, yeah, things get steamy and wild and passion takes over

its not long that the “no attachments” becomes deeper and more and old insecurities and doubt rattle this untypical union

“What could you possibly lose, Dante”
“Me.
I didnt want to lose what made me who I was, Its what Ive identified with my whole life and if it were to change, all of the things I thought I understood would be gone.
So I wanted to keep what I knew,

But its hard to keep your most powerful organ in the humans body closed cause it has a mind of its own and there was nothing that they couldve done about itit was a fight lost before it even started, cause those who play with fire eventually get burned and devoured

“Dante”
“Im sorry because I love you.

Love owns your loyalties, hopes, and desires, It always will. ”

Dante gained more than he ever considered possible, more than he ever dreamed ofcause he had closed that door not daring to dream in the first placedepriving himself of all those precious life altering notions that he left buried deep inside of him for so long

“Cat”
“Is your equal who tests you, makes you consider things beyond what is only in front of you, and she makes you happy all the same.
Its crazy, isnt it Finding that person when you least expect to”

“I dont want to fuck you, I want to love you,”

And then as the story unfolds, shit starts to happen, Dante and Cat are thrown into the fire againall the Marcellos are involved in breath taking, nerve wrecking and gutting situations filled with explosions

shooting.

car chasing,

never knowing how it would end only hoping and thriving to bring their loved ones to safety.

NOT giving away muchthe love was there, after all, it was a slow build, it was testedbut they found each other, their love enduring even when things didnt look so bright or went in their favor

“Im always going to love you.

“Even when you hate me” Cat asked in a whisper,
Because sometimes, she knew he would,
“Yeah, even then. ”

I loved seeing all of them interacting, evolving as lovers, husbands andwell, not giving that away

The epilogue was an insight into all of their lives several years ahead and I have to admit they were just the right amount of fiction and real for me
I loved how they fully gave themselves through out it all, life, in giving affection, in business, in friendship and brotherhood.

Protection, connection and love were the things she asked for and also provided,

SO DID THE COSA NOSTRA, LA FAMIGLIA. DIO.

They were Marcellos and they owned it,

Phenomenal series which I highly recommened
Im glad Ive shared this experience with my Mafluts Irish, Shanny and Suz girls you rock and rule in my mafia book! LOL

So, so glad to be given the ARC of Dantes story from the talented author BethanyKris!

As far as Mafia romances go, this is right up my alley.

Doesnt go over the top with violence within the mafia or against women as we often see in the genre.

There are some things that are kinda questionable in terms of credibility but Ill go with it cause they really are not a big deal.

I like Dante because as much as he is a bad ass he is also a gentleman and hes got his priorities straight, no drama inducing actions when unnecessary as for the the h, she is capable, smart, resourceful but also vulnerable which I believe is believable because no character is so unidimensional as they often are in this genre usually you either have the all time badass that can do everything or the damsel in distress with some common sense and street smarts orrr the sheltered poor little virgin

This story felt like it could be real to some extentdefinitely only to some extent

So yeah go give it a try, its good!:/
I liked book one, Lucian's story.
Book two on Gio was a bust for personal taste reasons r/t the heavy drug theme, Book three, Dante's story, was good, stars.

Like book one, I enjoyed Dante's love story, The romance is the star of the show in these books,

Unlike his brothers, love doesn't come easy or fast to Dante, He's not only not looking for it, he simply believes it can't amp shouldn't exist for himself, It was interesting to see him go from a place of mutual need, to lust, to friendship, to respect, to love.

The FMC, Cat, is also an interesting character, She's a hellcat period. She, too, must go through long steps to get to love,

Excellent job on the characters!

Even Gio's character grew on me in this book, I stand by my review of book two that the drug use and immaturity was just beyond my personal reading tastes.
It was nice, though, to see him taking a more adult stance on life in this book while remaining the jokester.

The sex scenes were very well done,

I loved the thorough HEA for all the characters, Felt whole, complete, but open to storylines for the next generation of Marcellos,

Why the.

My problem with this book is basically the same as book one, The mob side of the plot is quite far fetched in how it operates and is presented to the reader.
A perfect example is the DON, Dante, going on a Rambo style mission with only his brothers as backup, Uhm, yeah. . No.

There also failed to be that professional vs brothers shift and separation in how the brothers publicly interacted with each other after Dante becomes DON.

It did detract from the story for me since the book is equal parts mob politics and romance.

Keypoints

slow developing romance
violence mild to moderate, with a couple non descript deaths and one graphic.

no OW/OM
mild bondage w/ consent
drugs are sold but not used
thorough HEA for the entire series cast and possible Segway to next generation series.

"Just like that, . . " Stars

Dante hails as the third book in the Filthy Marcellos series and focuses on the eldest brother of the Marcello bunch.
Throughout the series I couldn't wait to learn Dante's story and while I think it's a bit unconventional as far as mafia standards I really loved it.
In a quite precarious situation Dante finds himself at the mercy of Catrina, Little does he know she's just as much at his mercy, When what starts as a wise business decision leads to undeniable passion these two leave their mark in their respective worlds in big ways.
Told from the third person points of view again, BethanyKris once more proves her storytelling chops with Dante.
I couldn't read this fast enough, completely engrossed in Dante and Cat's love story,

I plan to review the Filthy Marcellos Collection as a whole once all stories have been read,

After being overwhelmed by a combination of RL and a book slump of epic proportions, I was pretty surprised when I basically devoured therd book in the Filthy Marcello Series.
Reading about Dante and Catrina was exhilarating, and being able to read about the other Marcello Brothers was like coming home.
I seriously hit jackpot when I started reading this series, BethanyKris writes Mafia romance that engages the reader in the most amazing way.
If you havent read the Filthy Marcellos Series and you love Mafia romance then I would tell you to seriously consider reading this one.
I love the Marcello Brothers and I absolutely adore the woman they love!

Okay so back to Dante.
Although Lucian is the oldest Marcello brother, Dante is his fathers heir by blood, but dont be mistaken, these brothers are tied together by binds much stronger than blood.
Dante has always wanted to be the next Boss, he lives for his role but unfortunately thats all he sees himself doing.
While his brothers build lives with their wives, Lucian and Jordyn have a baby boy now, he is content to watch from the sidelines knowing that he can never have the same thing.
He could never bring himself to marry a woman knowing he could never give her children, But the Cosa Nostra demands that the next Boss be married, otherwise his position may go to someone else,

Enter Catrina, she is an anomaly in the mafia world, a Queen Pin, To everyone else she exudes confidence, a take no prisoners kind of woman, If men arent lusting after her then theyre intimidated by her, but Catrina has her own dark secret, which is why she and Dante make such a fitting pair.
They both need something from each other, Dante needs a wife who knows the score, and Catrina needs a powerful husband that will help keep her secrets actual secrets.
In the beginning they try to be cold and aloof to each but ultimately Catrina is Dantes equal and he quickly falls for her.

"All of those lights, this place, and those streets theyre ours, Cat, So, I dont want to hear that nonsense coming out of your pretty mouth again, Theres no need to feel like youre hiding some kind of pauper beneath your clothes, not when youre overlooking and empire.
"

Catrinas secrets slowly eat away at her, their growing attraction and feelings are making her question herself.
Dante is convinced allowing his feelings for Catrina to grow would only end up hurting her,

God, his insides were ripping apart, Dante had never felt so entirely torn up before, It was like his soul was tearing from his heart because of this goddamn woman, How could a person love someone and despise them at the same time

So let me stop before I babble any further lol.
This series is pretty solid for me, youll see Ive rated the books before this one allstars, Thats because it has all the things I covet when reading a mafia romance, Youll delve into the mafia scene, with no filters, You get what it is, and that is power, money, drugs and this thing of ours, The Cosa Nostra, But because Im a woman and I love romance it also has a good dose of romance and sizzling hot sex scenes.
Dante and Catrina were insatiable and they were scorching between the sheets,

I know that this is the last book in the series but Im really excited to read the Spinoff Series, especially now that it seems as if there might be a position for a capo di tutti capigt.
Maybe therell be some insight on that :D

Have honor,
Love fiercely.
Be filthy.
