Grab Your Edition Vanns Victory (Highgate Shifters #2) Outlined By Sydney Presley Published As Digital Edition

book does suggest at an abusive home life and BDSM heavier on the SM, If these bother you, do not read,

This story, while detailed and intriguing just didnt hit it with me, The sex was hot, but the story fell kind of flat for me, I think it might have been better had the story been more about Kip and Vanns relationship and less about how they lived and had to always hide their relationship.

I am intrigued to see if the next book will be about the relative that who is mentioned, Maybe I would have enjoyed the story more had I read the first of the series who knows,

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads,

AvidReader ed for Prism Book Alliance For a secondary storyline perspective there was much movement in second installment of the Highland Shifters series, Vann's Victory sees our pack going to free Vann's former back from the tyrannical rule of their alpha, What they find is nothing short of a prison, While I appreciate that this needed to happen for many reasons, I wanted to see more growth in Vann and Kip's relationship, sitelink prismbookalliance. com/pos Vann's Victory picks up shortly after the first book, with Vann and Kip, plus some of the Highgate wolves flying out to Crossways to liberate the pack that the two men escaped.

Most of the book elaborates on Vann and Kip's relationship, their dynamics with each other, their fears for the future, and struggles with their freedom, as well as insights into their bond, and how it came to be.

The author spent some time revisiting as part of the plot's progression how Vann and Kip met, what they went through at Crossways, and how their relationship works with Kip assuming a submissive stance, and Vann being Dominant.
For those not in the lifestyle, or those who don't know much about a true BDSM relationship, about power exchange, their bond might seem strange, but for me even though I don't practice BDSM myself, it was very clear how much these two loved each other.

The main plot about liberating Crossways almost seemed too easy for my taste, especially with how much buildup there was in Vann's and Kip's minds.

The characterizations felt a little uneven at times, but overall this was a good sequel to the first book, and a promising installment to the series.
It's shaping up to be a rather nice combination of M/M romance and action novels,

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher, A positive review was not promised in return, This one was much better than the first book, I really enjoyed it. A combination of plot twists, and a variety of interesting characters make this a must read, This book takes place right after the events of the first book, Vann and Kip are on their way to their old compound to help fix things, This compound is where Vann and Kip lived their lives in a prison, They had to do everything that was ordered of them or suffer, They needed to even keep their mating a secret from others as the whole compound was mentored by cameras and listening devices, If they had ever been found out, they most likely both would have been killed,

Because of the fishbowl they lived in, they learned to hide everything from others, They also developed a D/s type of relationship, They are not really able to explore the full aspects of their relationship until now, And boy do they have a hot time with that, The sex scenes were well written and the BDSM was mild in my opinion,

I also liked them because both Vann and Kip were finally able to be free to be themselves and not worry about discovery, Both Vann and Kip have their issues but they deal with them together, They also draw closer to each other, They can be truly open about their wants and needs, something both of them needed to fully start to heal from the way they were forced to live.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, I really like this series so far, The world the author is building has both similar and unique outlooks on the shifter world, I look forward to more books,

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through sitelink wordpress. com Tired of all the secrets, Vann and Kip long to live their life out in the open but there is something they must do firstreturn to Vanns childhood prison and right the wrongs in this emotionally gripping m/m paranormal romance.
The story is a short and passionate romance that I think would have been a little better if it had been longer, but only because the takedown of such scary evil people was a little anticlimatic but it didnt stop me from enjoying the story and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
PS: The series is best read in sequence,

Vann grew up under the rule of an alpha at Crossways Compound, who controlled every aspect of his pack members lives, Used to obeying without question, Vann suddenly finds himself in a position where he can make his own decisions outside his sexual relationship, In the past, his trysts with his subby lover, Kip, have been in secret, snatched moments away from security cameras or listening devices, Now theyve been welcomed at Highgate, a safe haven, life should work out beautifully,

But theres something Vann has to do first, He has to return to his childhood compound to right the wrongs that were done there, Along with Kip and members of the Highgate security team, Vann has to play the biggest role of his life so far in order to bring down the alpha at Crossways and rescue some crossbred cubs.
It isnt going to be easy, going against someone hes been conditioned to obey, but for the sake of his pack and the safety of the cubs, hell do whatever it takes.

Kip is determined to be with Vann every step of the way, Usually, Kip is submissive in all aspects of their life, preferring to bow his head and only speak when hes given permission, But their return to Crossways changes all that, The danger there is too great for Kip to wait for Vanns instructions on everything he does, Kip knows that to keep Vann safe, he must become more dominantor die trying,

book contains scenes of exhibitionism and voyeurism,

Publisher's Note: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series,
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

The second in the series, and follows straight on from the previous story, but with a new couple as the central duo.

Having witnessed Vann and Kip's D/s relationship and their close bond, it was good to see them develop as a pairing, The main focus of the story is liberating their clan from the oppression that has been the norm for so long, I enjoyed the drama, but preferred the revelations of the relationship between Vann and Kip more, I am looking forward to future installments, as the new status quo takes effect,
