Eric Randall, an executive at a big company comes to the mountain to look for his adventurous brother Mike, after he hears he died in a motorbike stunt and instead finds trouble, and himself severely injured by two men and kidnapping a woman on a horse.


Mariah, a ranch owner is the one who is kidnapped and she struggles, her mind going back to the time someone tried to force himself on her, but somehow the injured man is no trouble, so she takes him to her ranch and finds out he is the brother of Mike, who she knew and was supposed to be with when he had his accident but Mariah cannot remember, her memory has failed her as it did twelve years before when her parents died.


So, we have Eric doubting Mariah and then working together with her to find the truth, as well finding out that someone is trying to sabotage Mariah's ranch and that all the problems may go back to her.


We also see Mariah dealing with her past and daring to dream beyond her ranch,
Eric is a standup guy who took on major responsibilities when his father died,

The book wasn't that wow, it was just an average read since I didn't really fall in love with the characters but I will be reading the friend Gigi and Shane's book next.
