one didn't move along as quickly as the first two, unfortunatley, However, it picked up/through and ended with a short of cliffhanger, Argh! Now I have to wait months to find out what happens! Ryder, The man was just as sexy as she remembered him:
tall, lean, and dangerous, a demon hunter with the body of a god.

Hot on her trail is Ryder, a legendary demon hunter she desires but cant quite trust, a man with an insatiable need for danger and a few dark secrets of his own.
As sparks ignite between the rogue hunter and his latest prey, Angies world is rocked again when her twin sister vanishes, stolen away by the same dark forces stalking Angie and the black diamond.
With Ryder offering protectionand moresuddenly a woman whos never trusted anyone is falling for a man who isnt afraid of anythingexcept losing his heart.

And when they do, itll send these two wary hearts on the wildest adventure of their livesand maybe even save humankind in the process.
I gave this book it's firstpages, I am always interested in a romance, but a great story and romance go hand in hand, This story was nothing extraordinary, I will not be finishing this story, Bookof the Demon Hunters series, Not quite the page turner the first two were, but a good read,
Demon Hunters Series
Surviving Demon Island Demon Hunters
Hunting the Demon Demon Hunters, Book
The Darkest Touch Demon HuntersThe Darkest Touch Demon Hunters
I enjoyed this series very much and cannot wait for more.
I do recommend these books to anyone who reads Jaci and who likes suspense, Again, the storyline is good but the writing is so shallow,rd time is the charm as this story finally managed to capture the readers attention and keep it using a more intricate plot, better interaction between the main characters, more believable relationships and the buildup to a battle of The Realm of Light and The Sons of Darkness that sets the stage for the final chapter in book sitelinkTaken by Sin.
This was a great one! Ryder was always a loner and feared that his darker side would eventually hurt someone.
When he's asked to find Angelique who has stolen the black diamond, he's more than willing to go it alone and return to his solitary nature.
But he also admits to himself that he wants to see Angie again, because she intrigues him, So he's off to find her while she runs from him and tries to find her sister Isabelle.
Angie is trying to find her sister, She has taken the black diamond and hidden it because she knows it has something to do with either her or her sister.
While laying in bed she is attacked by a demon, He wants the diamond, and she won't tell where it is, Lucky for her Ryder is on the wings watching her, He stops the demon, and saves her life, Ryder demands to know where the diamond is, and Angie won't say, Together, can they find Isabelle and stop the demons from finding her before it's too late
I really enjoyed this one.
I was a little sad towards the end because of one of the side characters died, But I'm holding out hope that in the next one this character will miraculously return to life, I like how the storyline is developing, The first book was a little vague about the demons and the different brotherhoods, but as the series has progressed it has become more detailed and yet she has kept the immediate focus on the couple in the story.
Can't wait to read the next one, like this one better then the first two Eh, this one wasn't as good as the first too.
I found no sexual chemistry, or for that matter, a love connection between Ryder and Angie like back in book.
It was if they were rushed, I liked Dalton and Izzy though, so I hope their love connection stays the same in the last book.
This one also didn't end on a happy note, Anywho, same old story line, good vs evil schtick, This one had less sex scenes that the other two and seemed rushed also, It was as if the writer just wanted this book to be over, Not my fav of the bunch, Derek and Gina will always be my fav, I skimmed alot of this book, but I'm still staying tune for the last book, just too see what's up wit Dalton.
This book did not end on a happy note, So if you like happy go lucky books, this is not one of them, This book was filled with paranormal action, mystery and romance but I did not find myself enamored with the plot.
Don't get me wrong it was a good read but this book was darker than the typical paranormal romance.
The Darkest Touch is the third novel in Jaci Burton's Demon Hunter series, Do you like your men who can kick some demon ass like nobody's business, and their women who are smart and intelligent The Darkest Touch will definitely appeal to readers who like paranormals that have action packed scenes and a great deal of adventure within the pages.
And of course I cannot fail to mention that there are some nice sex scenes also, Even though I haven't had the chance to read the first two in this series, I didn't find myself lost and things picked up rather quickly.
The action starts on page one and does not let up, The two main characters here are archeologist, Angelique Deveraux and demon hunter Ryder, who has no last name.
I can only assume both Angelique and Ryder were first introduced in Hunting the Demon BookAngelique is not your normal run of the mill archeologist, for she and her twin sister, Isabelle, may have special powers that the demons known as the Sons of Darkness need for their own means.
One of the sisters is a catalyst who can bring the coveted black diamond to life, If the diamond gets into the hands of the demons, and one of the Deveraux sisters are able to tap into the power of the diamond, the whole world could be in danger.
From the beginning, we find out that Angelique is not the sister who can do this, but it is her twin, Isabelle, who has darkness living inside of her.
Ryder is part of the Realm of Light, the group that keeps the Sons of Darkness in line.
He had helped Angelique escape from the demons that had first captured her, but she didn't wait around for him and now he has to find her before she is found by those nasty demons again.
Plus, she has the black diamond, and Ryder is not certain if Angelique is so innocent in all of this.
He assumes that Angelique may use the diamond to save herself, or sell it to the highest bidder.
Ryder is able to find Angelique and they go on the run, He won't let her go till he finds out where she had hidden the diamond, Angelique won't give up the diamond unless Ryder can help her find Isabelle, When Angelique knows that Isabelle is safe, then she will give Ryder what he wants,
Angelique does give Ryder one of the things he wants from her, and that means sex.
But since Ryder can't love Angelique, and only can give her sex, he keeps her at arms length when it comes to his heart.
They barely have time to work out their feelings because they are constantly on the run from demons and searching for Isabelle who is close to being found by the Sons of Darkness.
Again Isabelle's dark nature comes into play and is a very important part of the story,
The Darkest Touch has some dark moments with nasty demons and of action and fighting, Ryder is your typical brooding, I can't love you hero, because he feels he is not worthy of Angelique's love.
Angelique is a man's dream come true because she is so caring, I found these two a bit annoying because of the constant pushing and pulling going on in their relationship.
But to counteract them, there was a secondary story dealing with Isabelle and another demon hunter, Dalton, I really did enjoy Isabelle and Dalton better than Angelique and Ryder, Isabelle is very different from her perfect twin, She is greedy, pushy and the question of whether she is truly evil is left open for the reader todecide.
There is a major secret about these twin sisters and Isabelle tends to embrace the one side her sister Angelique ignores.
The way The Darkest Touch ends, leads me to believe that the next book will be about Isabelle and Dalton.
As for Dalton, he is another brooding male, but very sexy, and gives it to Isabelle good against the wall of her cabin on a yacht as they look for underwater treasure.
Overall, I found The Darkest Touch a pleasing read, Jaci's writing, as always, is great, and she has a way of building up the action along with some surprises you won't see coming.
I'm really enjoying this series and this was the third, This time, the story focuses on Ryder and Angelique, whose romance was alluded to in the previous books.
The fighting between the Realm of Light and Sons of Darkness is ramping up and should get a lot more vicious in the next book.
The story also brought Dalton and Isabelle to the front and theit story is the next one, One of the main characters sacrifices himself for the greater good which was kinda sad, All in all, great story, nice romance, a winner : My first romance novel and my last, I liked this story the best so far and we get a twofer with Angelique and her twin Izzy good vs evil.
There is a lot more action in this one, but not so much to have me suspended on the edge of my seat.
Overall all it was pretty good, the sex was good and the story has definitely improved, This third story in the Demon Hunter series focuses on Ryder and Angelique, If you haven't read the previous two books I highly recommend reading them first so you have the background information and character histories leading up to this book.
Full of danger and suspense this fastpaced romance will have you turning the pages in anticipation of what is going to happen next.
My only complaint having to wait until the fall ofto find out what happens with Dalton and Isabelle,
.stars. This book didn't have much of a resolution and the secondary storyline between Izzy and Dalton was detailed a lot here but wasn't resolved at all because it's the focus of the next book.
That was a little unsettling at the end, but not a horrible thing,
The plot was a little tiresome though: good vs, evil, same lines, half demons struggling to control their evil sides, etc, I was looking for something a bit new in the third book, but it didn't really happen, I will say the ending and the new character and the promise of the next book sounds better so I am looking forward to reading the next one.
But this one sort of stalled in the romance category for me, Not as hot as the first two, The action sequences are good right length, not confusing, etc, etc. but they seemed a big repetitive now that we know all about the weapon types, how to fight the demons, etc.
The best one yet of the series, Jaci Burton delves even deeper into the Sons of Darkness and their devious plans, We are introduced to a new member of the Keeper of the Realm of Light, Micheal, but a dear loved on is lost.
While this one focuses
on the relationship between Angelique Deveraux and Ryder, the backstory of Isabelle Deveraux and Dalton is just as intriguing.
