Gain Faheys Flaw (Kansas City Heat, #9) Conceived By Jenna Byrnes Conveyed As Paper Copy
received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads
Although this is one of a series, it can be read as a standalone and the good news is that there are plenty of other gay couples in the area which have smoothed the way for this latest romance.
I really enjoyed the story, both the wider drug issue and also the burgeoning romance, Connor was a useful, and sweet addition to the story as was Gus and gave the lead characters plenty of opportunities to interact and get to know each other.
I did feel it was a little rushed, but I believe in knowing how you feel about someone pretty much instantly, so that was fine by me.
They were definitely hot for each other, and found the time to test just how good the chemistry was! Sadly, the drug story seemed all too true, and worked well as a foil to the men's growing relationship.

I received this book from Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a good story about drugs in schools, how the kids handle it and the consequences that come from drugs,
Wynn was the main character and was a cop along with his son Connor who was in high school, Wynn meets Reilly a teacher and it was instant attraction, I thought Wynn and Reilly's relationship moved pretty fast, but it seemed to work very well with the story content, Wynn's ex wife's husband was a jerk, Though it did add some conflict to the story it did make the ex wife and Wynn understand each other better, Other than the major plot of the drugs it was a good story about how family sticks together,
Even though it was a short story I felt that it was complete, I really enjoyed this book and always look forward to reading more by Jenna Byrnes,
This is the ninth book in Jenna Byrnes Kansas City Heat series and I loved it, Jenna Byrnes just draws you into the story and makes you believe, This story deals with primarily drug use in high school thru college and how the main characters deal with it, Wynn and Reilly were absolutely great together and I immediately connected with both MCs and was amazed with how they dealt with a new cheaper drug that was hitting the schools.
Ms. Byrnes also shows how they dealt with becoming involved with each other and again made this instalove believable, This was a very easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it,

Quick read. Enjoyable to read. Don't need to think hard to read the book and the series, Recommend.
Can KCPD detectives keep the latest designer drug off the streets and out of the hands of teenagers
Theres a new drug of choice in town, and the detectives of the KCPD Vice Department are working fast to keep it away from unsuspecting students looking for a cheap high.
Detective Wynn Faheys son, Connor, is thirteen going on thirty, His recent announcement that hes gay causes concern for his mother and her new husband, and the parents of the boy hes been caught in a compromising position with.
Wynn struggles to help his son adjust, not having gone through the same issues since he didnt come out until he was divorced with a child.
When the new five dollar Insanity drug invades Cons school, the boy is forced to grow up faster than his parents would have liked, Will the love and support of handsome English teacher Reilly OKeefe be enough to sustain Wynn and Connor, or are they in too deep to scrabble their way out of danger
This is totally a standalone in this series even though at the beginning it is a bit overwhelming with all the characters being thrown at the reader, once you get past that, I don't think we see much of any of the other characters from previous books.
I liked that this was a cop book, but it wasn't so much so that you lose track of the characters, . . And I can't help but love that it's a teacher book, because who didn't have a crush on a teacher at one point in their life or another so this was fun for me.
There was a lot of insta chemistry, but I liked the way the two men came together even with the evil ex and tween around to be dealt with.
I will say that I felt like the designer drug was sort of not a finished sideline of the book when it had taken up so much of a part of the book so that was a bit of a disappointment for me.
I received a free copy of this book to read for Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review, Book nine in this series was a good read and I like that Jenna took it a little further by bringing in a teacher as a main character and not mention Fahey's son as a supporting character.
With the new drug going around Con's school this leads to Fahey meeting Reilly, Reilly is one on Con's teacher and helps how he can to take down those individuals that are distributing drugs at the school,
Fahey and Reilly come together under not so great circumstances with the drug problem but their chemistry is off the charts,
I also like how Con was honest about his own sexuality and that Fahey would do whatever necessary to help his son to deal with the outcome.
Great read!!

Triggers: homophobic talk, drugs, death
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
In this story, you have a myriad of characters, You are dealing with high school and college kids, parents who don't want to believe their kids could be the trouble makers, parents who are trying to protect their kids, teachers who don't know what to do and a uniquely blended family with some homophobic tendencies.
For this story, Reilly, a teacher at Connor's school is interested in helping the police educate the parents and kids on a new "wonder" drug that is hurting the youth in his school.
He is passionate about it because he was touched by drugs in his life, He knows that getting people the education they need can only help combat the drug issue that is running around the city,
In walks Connor's hunky dad and Bam! Holy hotness, Wynn is trying to get the schools the information to help combat a drug that is not only dangerous, but deadly, He knows that his son, who's the target group, is also in danger and wants to do everything he can to help his son stay away from drugs.
But, because Wynn didn't come out right away he now has to deal with his exwife and Derrick, the homophobic soon to be stepfather.
I don't know if Derrick was really necessary, or the fact this his exwife was so spineless, How could Wynn, a selfassured police officer be married to such a horrible woman!!
I really liked this story it was full of family issues, love, concern and education.
Byrnes did a great job at creating a story that both main characters were able to show growth and love in their relationship as well as their jobs.
I only wish more had been concluded in this book, Jenna Byrnes could use cabinet space and hours in a day, Shed fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his hearts content, Shed breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read, Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters, Her favorite quote, from a pro gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate, It may be someone you love, ”For the latest news, visit Jennas website at sitelink Jenna Byrnes could use cabinet space and hours in a day, Shed fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his hearts content, Shed breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read, Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters, Her favorite quote, from a pro gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate, It may be someone you love, ”For the latest news, visit Jennas website at sitelink sitelink,
