گوش میمون داستان خانواده ای است که از سفر خویش به مراکش گوش میمونی را همراه آورده اند که فروشنده ی آن ادعا کرده میتواند چهار آرزو را برآورده کند خانواده ی بکر پس از بازگشت به منزل خود در حومه ی لندن برای مدت کوتاهی این سوغات کوچک را فراموش میکنند اما پس از چندی با یافتن دوباره ی آن هر آرزویی میکنند به نوعی دیگر برآورده میشود آنها یک رولزرویس میخواهند و در عوض صاحب غذای سوشی میشوند آرزو میکنند در لاتاری برنده شوند ولی خانمی به آنها یک ظرف عسل هدیه میکند و پدر خانواده آرزو میکند طاسی اش از بین برود و موهایش دوباره رشد کنند اما خانه ی آنها گرفتار توفان و رعد و برق میشود پس از این ماجراها بارت فرزند خانواده درمییابد که شنوایی گوش میمون سنگین است و باید آرزوها را با صدای بسیار بلند بیان کرد تا او متوجه شود زمانی که همه به این راز پی میبرند بین بارت و پدرش گفت و شنید تندی بر سر اینکه چه کسی حق دارد: آخرین آرزو را بکند در میگیرد و در حین دعوا پدر با عصبانیت فریاد میزند آرزو میکنم تو به جهنم بروی! و ناگهان انفجار عجیبی رخ میدهد و دیگر از بارت اثری دیده نمیشود

از اول که شروع به خوندن میکنی میدونی قراره یه اتفاق وحشتناک بیوفته ولی اصلا احتمالش هم نمیدادم اینجوری بشه.This book is a four star purely for the addition at the back of the 'shortest horror story ever written', Genuinely spooky. Well done Horowitz! This is three very short but disgusting amazing horror stories I would definitely recommend reading them, if you dare!!!! Creepy with a horrible twist at the end, my favourite kind of horrorshort horror stories, all with great twists, A must read for fans of the genre, I found myself enjoying the monkeys ear, The four wishes are indeed dangerous but not in a conventional way, An unexpected tale in the manner of Roald Dahls short stories which I enjoy the most, And the final story, the shortest horror story makes me look out my window for a bit at the end haha, this is a good book it makes you think and you think you have worked it our but you haven't I really recommend that you read this book xx I feel like I'm cheating by including this as a book, as it's really only two and a half stories.
