effective adaptation of a franchise I don't really like, Boring exposition, flat characters, wonky pacing, cool settings, I'd recommend this to someone who does like the franchise, except the action can be hard to follow, which I expect is probably a dealbreaker for some of them.
Quick read with recognizable dialogue, characters, and themes, but without the sexism of the early movies, Great short Indy tale. Just cause its for kids doesn't mean it has to be bad, sitelinkFind this book at Hillingdon Libraries I added this book to my art shelf because it really is a piece of work.
Not having been a comic book reader, it took me a surprisingly long time to move through this.
The visual framing of the action carries such subtle power, and I delighted in the Indyisms that radiate his singular brand of sarcasm, irony, wit, and passion.
An instant classic. Storywise, this is the best Indiana Jones comic book I've read and I think I've read them all! The art has a fun saturday morning feel to it, so it's less than eye candy.
The writing, however, was surprisingly smart, Can't wait to read Vol, II. Still enjoyable, not quite as good as I remember, though, a couple parts of this really stuck out to me from the several times I read this as a teenager, but Im not entirely sure why
I suppose that says something for why certain things stuck out to you when you were younger because that was what you had.
.
Almost like you didnt know any better, hasnt seen much better, .
But, this was still pretty good, Good dialogue, could hear all of their voices and intonations clear in my head.
Good art, like a very clean version of Mike Mignolas work on Hellboy, mixed with Atlantis: The Lost Empire, the obvious Indiana Jones and work on the Astounding Wolfman comics.

This is a prequel of sorts to Raiders of the Lost Ark one of my alltime favorite films and the comic ends feeling a bit like a quarter or a third of what would be a longer Indiana Jones movie, which is kind of neat, but I guess also leaves a bit to be desired.

Liked the setting, and the weight of certain things,
The dialogue, while good, felt a little cheesy at times, and while some might that off as being an homage to the time, I found it a little preachy and Indy comes off as a little more selfish and manipulative, here.
I suppose thats something to say about how he changes and grows, later on in the

movies, and maybe I need to further scrutinize them again, but I just didnt love that aspect of the book.
He comes off as a good dude even in the beginning of The Last Crusade when hes a teen, and he always has a sense of purity and pride and charm to him, that comes off as intentionally more desperate here.

Still, though, I remember really liking this a lot as a teenager, and I do think that thats the intended age group that would most enjoy this, if not a little younger.
A fun, quick adventure. This takes place in, with a slightly younger Indy going off on a few adventures and facing off against some Nazis, all while trying to snatch up a few treasures for an American museum.

Indy seems a bit more looter in this than in the movies, Not to say he wasn't looting treasure in the films, he just seemed a bit less mercenary about it.
Still, it's an enjoyable read, The art is passable. Nothing stellar, but it gets the job done, Un comic que respeta la esencia del personajes de Indiana Jones el famoso arqueólogo una historia entretenida y con buenos giros.
I was really glad to pick this story back up, I originally read it back when it came out, I was so thrilled to be getting new Indiana Jones stories, This series has the same appeal as the Star Wars Adventures comics from IDW, which are also a lot of fun.
This adventure is great even though its over quickly, Volumewas a lot of fun and nice adventure with Indy that stays true to the character, Makes you ponder an Indiana Jones animated series, . . Indiana Jones Adventures vol.is a fast and fun read! The story is interesting and the artwork is very cool, It even has a few humorous moments, I chuckled when Indy pulled a fast one on the nazis and gave them a copy of the Torah instead of another ancient scroll they were after.
Definitely worth a read if you're an Indy fan! The reason why I love this book is because I love Indiana Jones since when I wasyears old.
Stays true to the Indians Jones plot/character, No issues apart from some mild violence man is shot that youd expect with Indiana Jones, More.

This was pretty short and fun, this felt like what a Indiana jones animated series might have looked like.

The artwork was good, on the cartoony side but still good, The story was pretty average, we do see some familiar faces from the movies besides Indiana, That was nice to see,

If you're looking for a short, fun, Indiana jones adventure this is a pretty good option.
Annoying helpless and weakminded female side kick, One pretty scary murder. Otherwise good for an older kid, with some good vocabulary around Norse mythology, Loved this. Only took likeminutes to read and it was quick with great artwork and just the right amount of words.
Now there was some German in it which I really liked but it was extremely basic so many readers will probably understand it.
Old characters came back along with some new ones, Hope the next one is just as good, My six year old read this to me as part of his school work, Small adventure, fairly short book and an easy read, We were amused by the jokes about Indiana being a destructive archeologist and my son enjoyed the artwork.
The female character could be better, Belloq and the Nazis are the villains, In the deep winter of Northern Europe, Dr, Henry Jones Jr. is about to undergo one of the most harrowing archeological digs of his career! Amidst a deadly blizzard, he must find an ancient monument and unlock its secrets before someone with much darker intentions gets there first! Yet there are trials awaiting any who would lay claim to the artifacts of mysterious warriors from long ago.
Kidfriendly and brimming with the very best parts of Indiana Jones, this is a story for anyone looking for stunning visuals, thrillaminute storytelling, and one unmistakable archaeologist!.
