Ad mitting that women are capable of assuming and main taining as high a rank in the profession as men, and hoping that the door of every institution of learning will be thrown wide open for their entrance, there still remains suflicient cause for asserting that to make regu lar practitioners of medicine of women will, except in a few isolated cases, prove unsuccessful.
